I have a very close friend who have two siblings. My friend was an SS while his younger brother was also an SS but his elder brother is not
My friend was a very brilliant guy. In fact, he was one of the most brilliant students when we were in JJS 2 back then, but he used to skip school a lot back then during crisis
He might come to school consecutively for 3 weeks and in the coming week, he might not come at all
In 2012, he lost his younger brother who had SS crisis and they were remaining just two
They later relocated out of our area and we lost contact.. I tried reaching out to him but no way.. I also went to his Facebook and I discovered it has been inactive for more than 10 years
I was added to our alumni group and I decided to ask about him, only for me to be told that he passed on around 2016
His elder brother is the only one alive now.. Imagine! 3 children reduced to 1 in a span of 14 years |

A car can be very fuel efficient yet it will give you a lot of headache during any slight issue
It's ruggedity first and the ability to withstand bad roads |

Nairaland General › Re: My Landlord Increased My Rent By 108% by tosyne2much(m): 4:45pm On May 03 |
Ayo25: Don’t misled the person please. No law gives you six months to vacate property.
After your rent expires, you are served with owners intention to recover property after 7 days. If you don’t vacate after seven days, landlord takes you to court. In court you tell the the judge how long before you vacate property which can’t be more than 1 month and you must pay the rent for the 1 month. You are not entitled to occupy a property more than a day after your rent expires.
Always get the through position of the law. Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. What you're saying is nonsense and you have no sympathy at all Increasing rent by 108% is pure wickedness no matter how you try to justify this wickedness, and you're here quoting stupid laws that the OP is meant to vacate the property within a month If a landlord can be so inconsiderate to raise rent by 108% overnight, he should be able to at least give the tenant 3 or 6 months to prepare his exit since he can't afford it But you're here defending the landlord and quoting rubbish law, saying the OP is supposed to pay if he exceeds the time his rent expired Do you people think others pick money on the floor? |

Bendeco02: Not bad as Atiku don't want to consider zoning.
Atiku don't care about zoning because age is not on his side anymore forgetting that if Obi and Kwakwanso is not on his side, he can't win as well.
How will Atiku now achieve his presidential ambition without Obi and Kwakwanso on his side? The man is not really wise.
If Atiku still go ahead and contest, then I know he like wasting money. He don't even campaign or move around but just depend on his wealth which will still fail him. Atiku is very stubborn and greedy at the same time to the extent that despite the woes we are passing through, people still prefer to vote Tinubu instead of Atiku |

Most of them are lifting the stat straight from the internet! There is no way you will get 1 gallon/ 100km on any car, except the engine is small and the car is brand new! Some people will read some comments and will start thinking they're using the wrong car.. They will start diagnosing a faultless car, looking for a fault that is absent thereby enriching their mechanic Nothing wey person no go see for Autos section of Nairaland. In fact, the only comment I'm yet to see is that their car using 2litre /100km 😂 |
Car Talk › Re: What's Your Car's Current Fuel Efficiency Ratio (MPG)? by tosyne2much(m): 4:31pm On Apr 29 |
casualobserver: The problem with most Nigerians is 1) they were not properly taught how to drive and 2) petrol had been very cheap so they have developed very bad and fuel inefficient driving habits 3) most don’t understand the physics of motion.
80% of the fuel you burn is to overcome inertia from standstill. Once a car is in motion you require very little fuel to maintain your speed. This applies to all cars up to about 100km/h and quite frankly there are very few roads or road conditions in Lagos that warrant you traveling above 100km/h. However if you drive without regard to the road conditions ahead of you, you will find yourself constantly accelerating and braking. You can go from one traffic light to another and only need to accelerate or brake once or you can drive like a typical Nigerian and accelerate and brake 5 times. There are cars ahead of you, you accelerate like a mad man, you move 10-30m and you have to brake….that’s why your consumption is high and you keep changing your brake pads. A knowledgeable person never goes above the speed warranted by the general traffic conditions he is in. He rarely has to press his brake and most times all that is required a gentle press on the accelerator.
Try the same route tommorow and instead of looking at your Speedo, look at your rev counter, don’t accelerate dramatically if the road in front of you is not free. Try and drive in such a way as you minimize the number of times you press your brake and your rev counter is roughly @1500. You will be shocked!!
AC is not the reason your consumption is high, it’s bad driving habits, constantly accelerating hard beyond what is warranted by the road conditions.
Think of a car like a fridge with an old style compressor. E.G a 250w fridge, Each time you turn on the fridge, you can draw up to 1200w just to start the compressor. Once it starts and settles, consumption drops to 250w, it can even drop to below that once it achieves the set temperature but if you keep switching it off and on, every time it restarts the compressor will draw 1200w. That’s how a car works. You need more energy to get it to a certain speed that to maintain it at that speed.
Finally another thing. Put your hand out of the window with your palm facing the wind. The higher your speed the higher the force of the wind against your palm and hence the more the wind resistance the car has to overthe more petrol you are burning to overcome that wind force against you. You start to feel that heavy force at about 100-120km/h. That’s why when you travel at say 160/170km/h you can burn twice the petrol of someone traveling at 100km/h. This is very objective 👍 When people talk about fuel economy, they start talking about injector, nossle, 02 sensor, catalyst, spark plugs without talking about driving habit In fact, driving habit can even significantly reduce the fuel consumption of a car that is said to be a fuel gruzzler |

Even in their family house, she only wear pant and walk around, this is someone with elder brothers o.
All family members said they are tired of correcting her.
If someone knocks at my gate and she sees it's a woman from the security cam, she's legit going out to open the gate naked, until I yell at her.
I've never met anyone who hates clothes as her.
If I see her putting on clothes indoor, then she's sick or about to fall sick. Mine also doesn't really like wearing clothes around the house.. Most times, I yell at the top of my voice and I'm tired of correcting I'm doing all these because I don't want my kids to grow up seeing nudity as a norm (I have two girls) The way I see it, some family grow up this way where anyone can appear naked around the house without feeling discomfort, so changing such a person would be hard |
