Didi2d: Fuel attendant give you 2k fuel, pocket the remaining 3k How do we stop this daylight robbery Bought fuel at a filling station in Lagos sometime last year Told the fuel attendant that I wanted to buy 5k fuel and before I removed seat belt to come down so I can open the tank over, the lady has already opened it and told me she has already sold the fuel, and was now selling for a bike man. I was so shocked! How would you sell petrol for someone without the person seeing what you sold? I didn't even see the amount you sold on the screen of the dispenser I wanted to create a scene by telling them I won't pay them a dime since I never kuku pay but her colleagues calmed me down by telling me that I should check my fuel gauge to see if it has increased or not. I told them that how will my fuel gauge increase when the car is in a static position? Her colleagues were just calming me down so I could so that subsided my outburst. I later paid after the whole thing and left the filling station.. After a few miles, I was expecting the fuel gauge to at least move up but it only moved slightly.. It was then I realized they didn't sell more than 2 litres instead of 5 litres The people are worse than government |

Science/Technology › Re: Solar Is Failing Many Nigerians. Here’s The Truth by tosyne2much(m): 8:17pm On Apr 06 |
techpsky: I agree that understanding energy usage helps, but I don’t think solar should be limited to people with “high technical IQ.”
The real issue is that many installers don’t properly educate users or size systems correctly.
Even someone without technical knowledge should be able to use solar comfortably if the setup is done right.
The problem is not the users, it’s poor planning, wrong components, and unrealistic expectations.
Thank you for your contribution. I really appreciate. 😊 Another thing about this whole thing is that, even lithium batteries are insanely exaggerated Just because lithium batteries can tolerate all kinds of abuse, some people go wan wreck the battery because it can be deeply discharged Most lithium batteries no go smell pass 5 years as against the 10 years installers are always promising their clients |
Science/Technology › Re: Solar Is Failing Many Nigerians. Here’s The Truth by tosyne2much(m): 8:07pm On Apr 06 |
Most solar problems start when people come with overbloated expectations about solar
The moment I hear someone saying they want to install a solar system that will power their AC, freezer and pumping machine, I know that them and their money will soon part ways
Wetin dey kill people pass for solar is big system.. Some people don't even have any business with 3kva or 5kva.. Ordinary 2Kva or 1.5kva would give them peace of mind but because of unrealistic expectations, they want a system that can power their pressing iron and hotplate
The last time, a man was telling me he wants to install a system that will power his AC, two freezers and pumping machine and I told him he should budget nothing less than N3m for a standard set up.
Few days later, he called me saying someone gave him a quotation of N1.7m, and when he showed me this quotation, I just shook my head... In the quotation, it was 2.5kw lithium battery.. Omo! I just weak! |

Toks2008: Avoid ladies who believe a man should handle all the bills and those who still believe a man should pay their bills.
It should be a man's decision to foot all bills or pay yours if he wants but should never be an expectation from any sensible lady living in an economy that makes it extremely difficult for one person to carry the load of two people.
As a single lady, you must pay your bills which includes and not limited to house rent and other bills that can be as much as 1k dollars or pounds or even more so why should you now expect a man to shoulder all bills simply because you are now part of his life. Toks himself! You still dey here? |

Q Azertise: You say 20k to get 50k is good business but you blow empty from Eko hotel to Ajah.
And you said you spent 1.5ltrs for that empty drive, that's roughly N2k with fuel at N1330/Ltr. N2k to earn N5k was exactly within your logic, but e reach your turn suddenly good business turn insult.
Using 20k to justify ROI as if fuel is the only operating cost in this business. What of Time? The wear and tear of the car? Physical stress? And he definitely off AC so Sun for don do am strong thing. Food? Savings?
100% or 150% is not sustainable. At all. E-hailing don dey cast and it's not as profitable as it used to be. These platforms are the only ones reaping bountifully just as bookies are always at the winning side Even if Petrol hits N3000/litre today, the platforms will still be making profits off drivers while drivers would be going home with peanut This week, a friend was telling me how goldmine e-hailing is, and that he wants to buy a car soon to go into the business. He said he has a friend who uses his car to hustle only during weekends and he makes profit of 100k I told him what drivers are currently going through but he told me they're only lying. He said they won't tell you they're reaping bountifully from it All my efforts to make him understand that he shouldn't dabble into the business with overboard expectations fell into deaf ears.. Baba say he go buy Corolla |

Fiscus105: I still blame APC govt officials going to Arise tv for interviews, going to meet a delusional anchor man, who is worse than people he himself attacking, man at 45 that still not be able to marry. If indeed his character is good, he won't have problems maritaly.
Anchor TV men/women I know, always play a neutral roles during interviews, but ma/d man chooses to become a mouthpiece of headless mob.
If APC govt stops patronising Arise Tv, nobody will tell the management to boot nothing but bias man out of their organisation. He's a very foolish man who embarrasses his own guest and to think that people cheer him up as the best journalist in Nigeria surprises me Isn't a journalist supposed to be natural during interviews without being partial or rude? The funniest thing is that, Peter Obi will still not win Tinubu no matter how much Rufai Oseni and the likes try to rubbish APC/Tinubu |
