Lol how can Aba be more industrialized than Ibadan? You get sense so?

Okay it seems Lagos and Ogun are now no man’s land according to you. Soon Oyo state will join your no man’s land.
grin grin grin cheesy cheesy cheesy
I ain't surprised, if a whole region can support a forgery result then they can claim anything in the world. One Dindundi even told me not to count Lagos as the SW state I just had to ignore the Mmmnuri-induced thing and laughed it off. grin

SOSinNigeria:
Ignorance is a disease. How many cities in Nigeria today are more industrialized than Aba? Can you name them?

It has been argued in the past between Aba and Ibadan, and Aba won. You can check the thread!

Talking about Ogun state, we all know it would have been another dead zone just like Ekiti or Osun, without Lagos. Over 90% of the industries in are at the boundary with Lagos. Ota and Agbara were established because getting lands in Lagos for industries was becoming increasingly difficult.

Aba is more industrialized than any city or town in SW aside Lagos.
Does the bolded has a stats beyond Nairaland gossips?

.

They have been trying to meet with Lagos Speaker, Obasa, he has turned them down. They are trying to meet with Eleko, he turned them down. Now iwuanyanwu tried to meet with Gov Sanwo, and was told Gov is in Abuja. But me I know Sanwo is in Lagos because there is an event in his family house that started Yesterday, and he cannot be absent for the two days gathering.

Ibo must be kicked out of Nigeria. They have brought nothing but headache to everyone in Nigeria. Beside Yoruba, there is no tribe in Nigeria that has not been negatively, and painfully impacted by Ibo atrocities.
At the bolded. That's exactly what it is, and it is more of what I want to hear, see, and become a pattern. Why should some bunch of nonentities and a bunch of leeches be requesting and demanding for audience for what reason exactly don't they have a home and region to govern. Very annoying set of people.

This is not unexpected. SW is more and most productive region.

I want to understand the mindset behind this lukewarm attitude towards the devastation of the peace of the South East.

If the government is not the one using Simon Ekpa, he must be arrested ASap.

But if the present government decides to turn a blind eye, let it be known that it will bring more catastrophe on the whole country, the peace of one side benefit all.
Hey! Point of correction at the bolded ;

Say, at the whole SE. It's a family affair and since it's been on for more than 5years now it has remained there. Wike did a great job, by the way.

Thank you.

Neoteny7:
But that's the point, isn't it? A single rate across board. Maybe cheaper as it's competitive
The black market can't buy at the bank rate and sell higher their only profit now comes from sellers like you and I. But why would a seller like you and I go to the street anymore if, at the same rate I can get my dollar into Naira via a bank like GTB? As I said, the Apax bank or the gov just needs to block the loophole and monitor the activities of these banks.
Business › Re: Oil Companies Resume Dollar Sales To Banks As CBN Eyes Supply by totit: 1:32pm On Jul 07, 2023
Neoteny7:
All those dollars will end up in the black market. Those bankers are in cahoots with currency speculators. They'll create artificial scarcity and drive demand.
It would be of no use if the black market price is the same as the official.
Business › Re: Oil Companies Resume Dollar Sales To Banks As CBN Eyes Supply by totit: 12:51am On Jul 07, 2023
I hope the banks would be closely monitored and not be allowed to monopolize and or inflate the direct inflow.

Google search could have saved you from this embarrassment. It is one thing to say something, it is another to prove it.

Olodo, no company can control a state, its solely on the state gov. Gosh!!
You know the truth, just that you enjoying being stup..id
I never expect you to comprehend such a practical and logical explanation. You don't know what it means to control a country or state economy, it's obvious. As rich as Dangote is, he can't ' dictate ' or control " the economy of even his own state.

Note the word ' dictate '. But he pays his taxes.
Yes I can name the five biggest industries domicile in Lagos non own by Yoruba person
Are the ones in Alambra also controlling its economy as well? This reasoning ehn? He get well oo grin

You couldn't even relate GDP and its impact of these so called industries ( as you referred them) and how it control Lagos economy.

I guess, the gov has no business governing these state then since it is in the hands of the 3 ' industries ' according to you. grin

So why do you think Imo state froglipped to that position? There are production of gas going on now in imo state and it's growing. What factories does Imo state have to rival Akwa ibom if not for gas production?

The shell plant is meant to supply gas major power plants in Aba (there are about 3 power plants in Aba waiting to patronize them, including th largest in Nigeria, Alaoji power plant) and SS. This plant also pipelines to Ota in Ogun state to supply industries in Ogun. It means that Ogun will still depend on Imo as we move to gas to run its industries. All these gas sales will add to Imo state GDP. It's inevitable
Why would I think the bolded, for what reason? It's good you are projecting your region well and that's good but like I said, wait till it's translated into GDP. SW will improve too.

Please, give a breakdown of how it is controlled by all tribes, I want to learn.

Thank you.

Yes, but I really do not see other parts of southwest catching up. You know why? Natural Gas.

Natural gas is an emerging in Nigeria and its growing faster than crude oil economy. The gas deposits in Imo and anambra state is causing massive investments to go there. 1 gas plant that will be newly completed by Shell in Imo state is worth about $2billion. Seplat jusr completed one is Imo state earlier this year, it's work $700million.

Imagine dropping investment worth $2.7billion in a state within a year, that's about N3trillion.
When these plants start operations, it's going to skyrocket the GDP of that axis.
However FMCG factories do you want to set up in Ogun state that can Rival that? The only thing that will rival it or even do better is Dangote refinery in Lagos and as the world moves away from oil to Liquefied gas, Dangote refinery production is reach a limit and start dropping.
Well, all good. But until these are translated into the GDP of these states it remains a forecast. Do you now see the need for a new GDP table after all?
Nigeria becomes Africa's biggest economy (7th April, 2014)
You are referring to Nigeria not a state or anambra and if we are to go by your logic SW cover the most Gross domestic product " even according the OP table and NBS. Can't you see that? cool

So, you may want to humble yourself and acknowledge the superiority of the SW. Lool

Which covers, Agric, industries, banking, etc. Now, ask yourself hasn't Nigeria made any progress or none in these areas of the economy?

This is a simple logic. Use your head.

Now, go back to the said NBS stats and compared it with the bogus claim of 7$b, and then tell us how he or you arrive at that since you believe both, don't you?

This is pure logic it's not rocket science at all.

I agree with you, southwest has a larger economy.
But this figures show that economic growth has not really been happening in other parts of southwest outside of lagos compared to southeast.
Seems like lfos and it axis is someone attracting the investments that should go to other states.

We can disagree to agree
The bolded can only be ascertained with the most recent stats. A deep observation of the data being thrown around are dated back and repetitive of the same 2013-2017.
