If you live in Lagos you must pay taxes, I have a wife in Civil servant whose taxes is remitted by the state gov on a monthly basis and she's part of the people that contributes to tr major IGR of lagos. Nothing special in Lagos, lagos does not provide any special environment for businesses to operate that is not available in any part of Nigeria. Lagos does not provide power to any businesses rather they provide multiple taxation. When lgbos travel in Lagos we all know how lagos dey be. Truth is, the SE will never leave no matter how hard you try to convince them as their home is not that productive and not economically viable. Statistic ally, they have low purchasing power. The majority are into buying and selling. The economy is powered by buying and selling. Except for a few industries in Anambra nothing there to write home about hence their high level of migration for survival. They barely pay taxes as confirmed yesterday in a case where 50% of taxes are in the pockets of street louts. And above all, they have the highest poverty in the south. So, how would they survive? |

If lgbos in millions leave lagos, the following will happen 1. Many bank branches will close 2. Many insurance companies, factories, smes, law firms, architect, will close 3. Many private schools, hospitals, event centres, churches, fuel station, will close 4. Prices of land and houses will fall drastically 5. No of mechanics, vucanizers, builders etc will fall 6. Revenues for lagos state and local govt will fall 7. Ogun state hoping on taking advantage of population in Lagos will hear it 8. There will be so many vacant houses, shops, and closed businesses that prices will fall. We want them all closed down so, when are you leaving? There are people and mostly in rural areas who don't have and have no need for social handles or whatever nonsense you call it.

We're 90% Ready": Petrol Marketers Reveal Plans to Roll Out Cheap Fuel at N100 Per Litre
Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has said it is ready to roll out cheap fuel for Nigerians The association's chairman, Chinedu Okoronkow, said the body would start to roll out Compressed Natural Gas at N100 per litre He said the association is almost ready with its plan to cushion the effect of subsidy removal on Nigerians Motorists and transport operators in Nigeria will witness relief soon after the Nigerian government ends the petrol subsidy, which caused a spike in the product's price across the country. The national president of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Chinedu Okoronkwo, revealed that the association is 90% ready to roll out Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as an alternative fuel, which would sell between N100 to N110 per litre before the end of June.
He added that the association had gotten a lot of buy-in from companies overseas.
Nigerians already using LPG to power generators
He revealed that Nigerians are already using liquefied petroleum gas to power their generators, stating that the LPG is about N700 per kg, but CNG will be under N100 to N110 per litre.
He said:
"When you check what the impact will be, it will reduce the cost of food because people coming from the hinterlands bring food to the cities. From Kano, it takes them about N1.2 million to fuel trucks with diesel, but with this CNG, it will cost them about N150,000 to N200,000. About a million naira is saved, which will translate to cheaper food and open up a lot of other businesses. "It will provide cheaper energy to drive the processing zones like the agro-based industries, where the gas will also create a lot of impacts. "CNG does not replace PMS, but it is a choice. We are talking of something that will help your purse and not deepen it." CNG would be a game changer for Nigerians as it will be the best palliative instead of sharing money.
Tinubu plans to distribute of cheap Fuel as the Cost of powering 7.5KVA generator increases to N1,000/Hour Earlier, Legit.ng reported that President Bola Tinubu has started putting structural measures in place to make cheap fuel available through compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquified natural gas (LPG) to stem the effects of the subsidy removal.
Mele Kyari, the Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, revealed this after a meeting with Tunubu on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
Kyari stated that the plans would roll out soon and that the structural plan was part of the palliative measures for Nigerians.

Why must Lagos bend its law for outsiders who have their region and are allowed to do what deems fit for their development and growth like Soludo is doing with Anamabra? This is annoying and downgrading for the people of Lagos and her leadership. This is emotional blackmail and undemocratic. Qatar-based drug kingpins Murphy, Oluchukwu smashed by NDLEA at Lagos Airport
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have smashed two Qatar-based drug kingpins with methamphetamine consignment.
Eyah Celestine Nnamdi, alias Murphy and Ugwuoke Peter Oluchukwu, were arrested by the agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos.
Femi Babafemi, NDLEA’s spokesman, in a statement on Sunday said Ugwuoke was the first to be arrested on 9th June during the outward clearance of Qatar Airways passengers at the departure point, Terminal 2 of the Lagos airport.
He said NDLEA officers discovered that the suspect was travelling to Doha with an Ivorian international passport with the name Hien Narcisse.
“A further scrutiny of his black carry-on luggage led to the discovery of a false bottom concealment of two parcels of crystalline substance that tested positive to methamphetamine weighing 1.00kg.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect is a Nigerian who had gone to obtain an Ivorian passport for his travels.
“He confessed that he travelled to Qatar in August 2022 and returned from the Arab nation about two months ago to perfect arrangement for the movement of the drug consignment,” he explained.
According to Babafemi, a further probe led operatives to discover that his Qatar-based senior partner in the trade simply identified as Murphy was lurking around in Eziani, his home town in Nsukka LGA, Enugu State.
He revealed that Ugwuoke, who hails from Igboeze North Local Government Area of the State claimed he holds a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko.
“A prompt deployment of NDLEA operatives on 10th June to Eziani community of Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, led to the arrest of ‘Murphy’ whose true identity was later discovered to be Eyah Celestine Nnamdi, who had lived in Indonesia for some years before relocating to Doha, Qatar,” he disclosed. https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2023/06/18/qatar-based-drug-kingpins-murphy-oluchukwu-smashed-by-ndlea-at-lagos-airport/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter
