They are not the same level with your backward state
How are they not in the same level when Alambra Airport was listed among the failed airports?
You should study this maybe then, you'd understand what it at stake here ;
An airport that needs N300 million a month and they have just 1,000 passengers a month there is no magic that can make them sustainable and FAAN doesn’t have the money
Which reality this is the last data realised in 2021, then Anambra Airport wasn't functioning, you can see that the airport in Ibadan your state need to be converted to bus park
This is the last air traffic data released
But FAAN has just categorized both Ibadan airport, Enugu airport along with others I.e, Alambra airport into one as per low patronage, what's your say now?
Are you contending with FAAN now or myself cos I don't understand your 2021 data, or do you know better than FAAN?
Let see the data from FAAN 2022 then we can discuss
Dude, I am only replying to this thread that discussed about low patronage of the above-listed Airports why are you shifting the goal post tho?
A new Airport at least flight land at Anambra Airport every day, I get bet you that the new Airport traffic will surpass Ondo and Ibadan Airport soon
Pictures from Anambra Airport yesterday
So, how has uploading various angles of Alambra airport cancel the reality of the issue of low patronage according to FAAN now?
Wahalai you are a case and a comedy sweet able for stress relief.
Kossyso: . The federal government must have recouped all the money they borrowed to construct that railway you posted above and they are already making a huge profit.👀
Are you sure I was the one you are referring to? Maybe you should pick up your glasses now, OK?
Blue3k: I don't think he can answer that question. FAAN and or Anambra haven't released that data.
Is it possible
Well ...
Most aviation stakeholders have argued that it’s unjustifiable to have those many state-owned airports because they have fewer than 200,000 passengers per annum.
Some of the airports are President Muhammadu Buhari International Airport, Onueke in Ebonyi State. It was commissioned last month by the outgoing State Governor Engr. David Umahi at the sum of N36 billion.
The Anambra Cargo Airport which cost N10 billion
The Bayelsa International Airport which cost N70 billion
Anambra Airport was reported to not be living up along with the rest. But yeah, no data stating each state passenger but it has also failed to live up according to the above report as quoted and culled from the OP.
How many fight don land In Ogun Iyabasira port and Ekiti keke port
You still ranting, shifting the goal post and have failed to answer a simple question. Upon all the so called praises over Alambra airport report says ' it has failed among others to live up, what's your take?
Focus on the OP;
An airport that needs N300 million a month and they have just 1,000 passengers a month there is no magic that can make them sustainable and FAAN doesn’t have the money
Typical Lagos/Ibadan propaganda, you for add that Ogun borrowed 30 billion for the Substandard airport they build, same with Ekiti, Anambra spent 10 billion naira without borrowing still built 3.7 km runway second longest runway after MMA
See why I always say that your leaders are criminals
You are just ranting on the thread, your screen shots states ;
To Give, is seeking Do you understand what that means at all, and what does this even have to do with low patronage of Alambra Office Port along with others?
Broveens42: Nobody is attacking anybody. The facts are being stated; south west is largely underdeveloped, due to negligence of governance in the said region. We know we have bad governors in the east but we can be proud to be part of the little progress we've made thus far, for criticizing our own..
#pic: after a radio program where people called out the imo governor on child labor
#Owerri
According to who? Are you now mixing infrastructure with human development?
chidiokay: Do you know according to last IGR stats in Nig, no state in the East dey among 1 to 10.
But yet you people will be making noise naa una do business pass, na una get billionaire pass na only una sabi vote competent leaders, na una build lagos, yet the records say otherwise.
Dear SE brothers, please mechi onu for once, let everybody just face their lives, all these bragging & boasting go keep am for bank
According to stats.
Facts won't lie. They live on lies but we deal with facts. Being superior is not by chance but by intention and then, grace SW is blessed know this and know peace.
mokwechineme: those kangaroo reports by south western media where u pay a very hungry whiteman to write few paragraphs for some kickbacks. Are u talking about the real Ibadan we know or the one in ur delusion
Picture of the hungry white people or I donbelieve you?
See, I am not the type you come across that you can easily manipulated by imaginary stats or gossip like you people are known for or the " travel and see ' ok? Setting the record straight is not aim to please okoros, Ok?
spagettiluv: I am having difficulties in uploading pictures of slumish areas in nsukka. I have them all on my device,I will try all means to upload here so the world could see how “beautiful” the homes of “developers” are
You can quote the source to me on a dead thread later if it's available, I would appreciate that.
mokwechineme: very laughable. Instead of holding ur leaders accountable for their diversion of public funds meant to give Ibadan a new look u re here celebrating decay. How can dilapidated and rusted structures be monuments. Is that what u have in developed cities of the world or other places didn't fight their own wars
Are you doing better than us? Shove your advice or better still, give it to the SE people. nuff said.
spagettiluv: I am having difficulties in uploading pictures of slumish areas in nsukka. I have them all on my device,I will try all means to upload here so the world could see how “beautiful” the homes of “developers” are
Same here. You may have to do that later or consider another browser. I think it's the new glitch NL has now.
mokwechineme: that's why Nigeria continued to be a terrible place. Here we are dragging about Lagos that is far behind other African cities like -Accra, Nairobi, Johannesburg, Cairo, Kigali, Capetown, etc after many decades of federal and colonial presence as the nation's capital. That's why a tinubu would be bragging over his obvious failed governorship administration where he only succeeded in converting 2/3 of Lagos resources to personal ownership and all u Yoruba youths would do is to continue praising him to ur own detriment
Ibadan is now competing with the above countries, below is a proof.
Ibadan – Ibadan, the Oyo State capital has been named the second fastest growing city in Africa for the year 2022, according to United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) research
In a post by Business Insider through its official Instagram handle; @businessinsiderssa, Ibadan is rated behind Accra, Ghana and above Lagos, which occupies the third position.
The post, which was captioned— “Top Ten Fastest Growing Cities in Africa”, saw two Nigerian cities occupying key positions.
Some of the key metrics of measure listed by UN-Habitat research are; urbanisation, industrialisation, population and job opportunities.
It added that the growth of these cities can be attributed to population boom and increased economic activities.
According to Brahima Coulibaly, Director of Brookings’ Africa Growth Initiative, “About half of the world’s fastest-growing economies will be located on the continent, with 20 economies expanding at an average rate of 5 per cent or higher over the next five years, faster than the 3.6 per cent rate for the global economy.
“By 2050, Africa’s population is anticipated to reach about 2 billion inhabitants, and more economic activities are taking place, counterbalancing the increasing population.”
The list include the following cities: Accra, Ghana , Ibadan, Nigeria, Lagos, Nigeria, Dakar, Senegal, Abidjan, Côte d’voire, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Luanda, Angola,Kinshasa, DRC, Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Meanwhile, some Nigerian Instagram users have reacted to the ratings, praising the Oyo State governor, ‘Seyi Makinde for his quick, impactful and data based policy making. Other users were simply amazed at the list while others refuted it.
Broveens42: That's where I Wana fix you; a place of shock, mixed with disbelieve. I'm giving you a ground view you can never dream of showing me from osun state
mokwechineme: u re always in this forum to drag Igbo vs Yoruba. May be u can start by stating ur home state and the village u re from and also pics of ur family compound in the village. I don't think the real Lagos indigenes behave the way some of u guys behave
To drag? Why do you Okoros always play victims? Of course, I am the OP, isn't it?
You are irritating. No wonder every borehole is showcased among your people. What's special about this now that can't be found anywhere in Nigeria or even better?
You have even celebrated building as development? As we speak, the fastest development state right now is Ibadan.
Broveens42: Says someone that hasn't been to imo. Owerri west alone will dwarf your major cities. See places you need to visit and come out of your delusion
Broveens42: Lol all you can do is show few roof tops of new market, which looks more beautiful than your abeokuta.. The earlier you get out of that delusion, the better.
Owerri Market areas on the ground
#Owerri on the ground vs (bring any drone view of osun, ogun, ekititi, oyo)
Yeeboos and delusion. Which one is the market this time after exposing your war-torn region you called development to the world?
Continue with your cropping of little development areas and call it development, ok? You can describe yourselves among yourselves not those of us who know about your poverty-sticking region, ok?
Those these look like shops or something else to you?
spagettiluv: the best city in igbo land is onitsha This onitsha brownroof slum
Spits
Look at the whole almighty Alambra like a war-torn area. I don't understand how somebody will sit somewhere in a corner with his Aba-made boxer dishing developmental stats without understanding the basis of development. Brown roof this, brow roof that as if such can only be found in SW, and as if the money used to buy land and erect a building is not enough to be called the landlord.
Even, the modern buildings in SE are highly concentrated because of their little landmass whereas in SW we could have a more modern building with more spread due to our large size.
