In short, what kill marriage is pride and unfaithfulness
izonborn098: First marriage is not for two strict people, one has to fall mugu or better still overlook and accept many things. A graduate is more advance and have some white man mentality because they are educated and can read whatever both online and offline while am uneducated woman has am africa mentality which she knows the man is the head of the house, she can accept many of his mistakes just as u forgive ur children of their mistakes but am educated wife take everything serious because of pride and entitle mentality there by competing with her husband. You can take advantage of ur uneducated wife in so many occasions compared to the educated one. If u have an uneducated women who is business minded and has understanding then just open business for her and have a happy family e.g orhobo and igbo women are very good examples, while an educated working woman will some times prefer her work more than the marriage all because she want to be dependent. Op their are more but just
PinUp: How God helped me to and fro an interview without paying transport.
It's really not easy for a job seeker, and because one does not want the situation to remain the same, he must strive to land a job to change the status.
Since I couldn't afford not to attend the interview, and as I didn't have transport fare for it too, I had to use any means to get there.
There is this company I was privy to know was recruiting both casual and permanent staff. Since it's sited outside the town, I prepared my CV and asked someone to help me apply for it and to my surprise, I was invited for interview.
A broke me with no assurance of where the next meal is coming from? How do I attend the interview in such a far distance when I can't boast of transport? Then on the second thought, I also asked myself, is lack of transport fare enough reason not to attend an interview that can change my situation? I told myself definitely NO. I MUST ATTEND THE INTERVIEW.
So this morning, I dressed up in corporate with a tie on. I know a tipper driver who passess where the company is sited every morning. Since I didn't have his contact, I couldn't reach out to him on time to tell him. On that, I went early enough to where he parks the tipper at the close of work and pick it up in the morning. Luckily I met him and was very real about my situation. He agreed to lift me but more trouble for me was that the cabin had 2 persons already, excluding the driver. It was only the open bed at the back that was free. That was his offer.
Was that cool for me? Did I have an alternative?
Of course, with my tucked in dress, I climbed into the tipper bed and was lifted very close to the office. My trouser even opened in the process of scaling over. Still, it didn't distract me. Rather, I was conscious in managing it so I wont expose myself. The goal was attending the interview and getting the job. Thankfully, on my arrival, the interview was just about to begin.
So as the tipper was on the road, when people saw me inside the tipper bed dressed in corporate, they were just cracking up, taking me for a comic actor. What can I do? I moved on with it and I was cheerfully waving at them back.
After the interview, I stood by the main road and was lifted again by another tipper that was returning to the town. Hallelujah!
The small 1k that was left with me which I refused to tamper with it, I'm using it to prepare okro soup (the cheapest soup) this night, to manage till further notice.
Though I'm not a comedian but lack of transport to the venue made me one. I'm sure the pictures as people were taking may go viral.
Either way, I attended the interview without spending any transport. Also, I did my best in the interview. I pray the stress, suffering and inconviniences pay at the end of the day.
May poverty and brokeness never know your address.
You've really made some valid point. Infact, schooling in Nigeria is as good as saying we all attended free school. Five years of service to the country that made the so-call knowledge affordable for almost everyone is such a good move.

If you have passed through a public university in Nigeria and then you think Dr. Ngige isn't making sense , then you should forfeit your degree.
Education in Nigeria is heavily subsidized. Nigeria cannot train you almost free of charge and then you run away to a foreign country when Nigeria lacks sufficient manpower in your field of endeavor. The practice is worse than being unpatriotic. It is wickedness.
Medical doctors spend less than a million naira in tuition in Federal universities to complete their program. In fact, during the NYSC program, most medical students make back the money they spent on their tuition.
Many medical doctors in the foreign countries you wickedly dump Nigeria for spend the first two years of their career paying back student loans. Their salary is high because of the high cost of living in their country which is why they pay an average of 100,000 USD for medical education ( tuition+ others fees).
The government doesn't intend to stop you from migrating. No, they'll be stupid to do that because it's against the tenets of FHRs . The FG is simply telling you, if Nigeria is the worst country on Earth, go to Canada, US or UK and spend 50,000 USD to acquire medical training and then work for them. If you want to benefit from our subsidy then you must compulsorily serve us for a few couple of years.
However, the policy of the FG is not good for the long run because medical consultants, experts and specialists will greatly reduce in Nigerian hospitals as there's no embargo placed against them.
What's the need of having many medical doctors who are not really proficient?
The best practice remains improving the welfare of Medical practitioners and enlightening them of their Hippocratic oath to serve their black brothers and sisters.

Canada is restricting Nigerians and other foreigners from buying residential properties for the next two years.
The ‘Prohibition on the Purchase of Residential Property by Non-Canadians Act’ was enacted to lower residential property prices, thought to have risen sharply due to foreigners buying the homes as investments and leaving locals with no choice but to purchase at exorbitant prices.
This new development is according to a new law that took effect on January 1.
“The desirability of Canadian homes is attracting profiteers, wealthy corporations, and foreign investors,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party wrote on its website.
This is leading to a real problem of underused and vacant housing, rampant speculation, and skyrocketing prices. Homes are for people, not investors.” In cities like Vancouver and Toronto, taxes have been introduced to non-residents and vacant properties to deter foreign investors and make housing costs affordable for locals.
The new law, however, makes exceptions for immigrants and permanent residents, allowing them to own residential properties. Average home prices from more than $590,000 at the beginning of 2022 have significantly dropped to $465,000, according to the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). The association worried Canadians could suffer should countries like the U.S. and Mexico pass a similar law in retaliation. “Canadians purchase vacation and residential properties in many countries, but particularly in the United States,” noted CREA.
The group asserted that many locals who buy properties abroad to escape Canada’s cruel winter might be the ones to bear the brunt of the new law.
These provide Canadians with a place to spend the winter months and are a form of savings for Canadian retirees,” asserted CREA. If Canada places a ban on Americans owning property in Canada, we should expect them to respond in kind.”
