💡Today's session wasn't as one-sided as the closing prices suggest. Red won the day, but underneath the selloff: • FTGINSURE: -10.0% → +3.1% • DAARCOMM: -3.0% → +6.7% • INTBREW: +0.8% → +9.8% • UNILEVER: -10.0% → -1.9% The market closed mostly red, but not before some stocks staged serious intraday fights back from the edge.
|
📊 Yesterday's closing prices don't tell the whole story... 🟢 INTBREW was the only stock to finish green every day this week. 🏆 NIDF hit a fresh 52-week high. 🚀LEGENDINT traded 9x normal volume, but sellers still won the closing battle. 📉 MCNICHOLS went from +7% to -10%... the session's biggest plot twist. 🔄 FTGINSURE and REGALINS staged the strongest recoveries. 💰 ZENITHBANK and GTCO led money flow. The index tells one story. The market tells many.

30 minutes to the close and GEREGU just printed a new 52-week low on nearly 7x normal volume, crashes to ₦825.70 👀
|
If current momentum holds into the close, DAARCOMM (₦1.99, +9.94%) and JAPAULGOLD (₦3.35, +5.02%) will both extend their runs to 5 consecutive green sessions.

mikeapollo: ![]() Thanks for the kind words boss 🙏🏾 |
👀 OANDO is back above ₦43. After closing last week at ₦40.85, the stock is currently trading at ₦43.90 (+7.47%) intraday. A ₦3 move in a single session is hard to ignore.

Kemetian:You've mentioned AI more times than you've addressed the actual question. Stop moving the goalposts. Nobody said revenue expansion should be neglected. The real irony is that you keep attacking a position nobody advanced. Nobody thinks $40bn is enough for 250 million people. But for you to keep using that as the central argument suggests you're living in a bubble. We are bombarded with examples of waste, mismanagement, abandoned projects, and questionable spending decisions almost every day. Instead, you've spent several posts explaining why we should focus on making the pie bigger while avoiding the discussion about who is eating most of it. It's the same logic as a father whose family is struggling, money keeps disappearing, priorities are upside down, and his answer is: "Let's focus on increasing my salary." Any responsible adult would first ask "What happened to the money already coming in?" |
Kushites:This is genuinely one of the most intellectually lazy arguments I've seen. Your response to "billions are wasted, diverted, and poorly allocated" is: "Let's collect more billions." By that logic, no level of corruption matters as long as revenue grows. Nigeria already spends a smaller share of its resources on health and education than poorer, more indebted countries. You keep talking about how much money comes in. I'm talking about where it goes. The fact that you can't tell the difference is the entire problem. |
Kushites:BS Imagine a family earning ₦500,000 a month. If YOU, the father, complains that the family is poor, but half the money disappears before it gets home, another large chunk is spent on luxuries, and very little is left for food, school fees, or healthcare, would the solution simply be to earn more? Of course not. The first question would be: where is the money going? That's the issue with Nigeria. We are often told the country has a revenue problem. But there are repeated allegations of corruption, waste, inflated contracts, patronage, and poor spending choices. One former agency head even alleged that he paid millions for his appointment and was later asked to hand over 48% of his agency's startup funds. Then look at the results. Countries such as Ghana, Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe, which also face debt challenges, still devote more of their available resources to health and education than Nigeria does. So the question is not only how much money Nigeria makes. The bigger question is how the money is being used. Pouring more water into a bucket full of holes doesn't solve the problem. You fix the holes first. Until Nigeria tackles waste, corruption, and poor priorities, simply increasing revenue will not automatically lead to better schools, better hospitals, or better public services. The problem is not just how much comes in, it's what happens after it comes in. |
NIGERIA HAS A SPENDING PROBLEM |

|

ghm:Before deciding ask yourself Why did you buy ARADEL? Has anything fundamentally changed since then? If the thesis is unchanged, the current selloff is just temporary. If the thesis has changed it may be time to reassess. Only you can make that decision. |
🚨 Market Open: ARADEL opens at ₦1,418, locked at limit-down (-9.97%) for a second straight session. Yesterday's heavy selling carries into today's open. Will buyers finally step in? 📉
