You’re very correct sir! Infact as a professional Engr/Builder we must atleast limit usage of combustible elements while choosing materials, most especially on finishing materials.

Is even established in health and safety curriculum

Biztech consult.

Engineer please refer us to this curriculum as it concerns the use of polystyrene.

"Despite many popular beliefs, polystyrene is no more damageable than other materials when burning.

Polystyrene burns and emits energy, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, water vapour and soot, but no other gas. In fact, the black smoke emitted by Polystyrene combustion is less harmful than the smoke coming from organic materials, and less toxic than fumes of a burning fir tree, pressed wood or expanded cork."

Yes, you are very correct 17.54% is the current rate

Quick question sir.
A competitors rate is 14.75% and they say their rates are net after all charges have been removed and better when compared with the 17.54%.
Is the Stanbic rate at 17.54% net of all charges?
Thanks

Wherever you use Polystyrene, the danger of its high flammability will always remain.
In my opinion, it is better to restrict Polystyrene use to Parapets, which is mostly outside the building and high up there.

And l think the high density versions of it, can be used in Rib Slab Decking (instead of using Concrete Blocks), to make the Decking even lighter and because it will be encased in Concrete, the risk of it catching fire is highly limited.

In Houses that have Concrete Decking, as Roof (Over-flows), the Polystyrene can also be used to do such Decking, by encasing them inside a Rib Slab Concrete Decking, this will reduce weight of the Decking and also keep the inside of the House cool, by refusing to transmit the Sun's Heat inside.
You need to sleep inside a Room that is decked, to appreciate the level of Heat it gives-off, in the evening.

Using Polystyrene as POP in the Bedrooms and Living Rooms for example, will result in lighter weight but we still have to "balance" this advantage, over its high flammability.
If you have a choice, l would say: please dont use it anywhere inside the House.

Why don't YOU do the experiment and post your findings here. Coming to conclusions based on surface google search results and hear say does not always hold water. To provide more context, the common type we see used around for construction are flame retardant polystyrene boards and as someone rightly said, it melts on contact with fire and does not catch it at all.

Since the e-account was not stated, the tracing will have to be done manually, to aid the process, send your evidence of payment to the customer care email.

However, it's also possible that it could be traced without you sending it. To be double sure after sending, call them. Get your e-account number handy because you may be asked before calling.

Thanks so much

If you funded after noon and wrote your e-account number as the description or narration, there are no issues, it's normal. By tomorrow it will be reflected in your account.

Note: To have same-day value and earn interest, you must fund your account before noon on any working day otherwise your capital will reflect and you start earning from the next business day.

Thank you for the feedback. I funded right after noon but didn't include my e-account in the description. How can I resolve this so they know it's meant for my account please.

@Harddiskng, the first thing to consider when choosing a mutual fund to invest in is your risk tolerance. The three mentioned mutual funds are very similar. An underlying asset common to them is equities. That means they are riskier compared to MMF and nothing is guaranteed - capital or returns. So any of them could serve the purpose if you are willing to take the risk involved.

Good evening sir. I need your guidance please. I funded my money market fund account for the first time today through bank transfer but value has not reflected on my dashboard. Is there any step I need to take or I wait until it reflects?

Thanks

Hello people, please I need your honest advice on how to remedy this sockaway project. The person is trying to build a precast sockaway because the soil is sandy. However, while trying to dig the ground so the precast sinks down, it cracked and why trying to figure that out, the side starts to compress.

I will be in the comment section to read your honest advice. Many thanks great minds.

Don't mend this in my opinion...count your loss and restart. Septic tank construction has to be solid or else you will revisit sooner or later

Okay

My only concern is that it will be very slippery when wet. In addition, the material strength cannot be compared to concrete. So, tiles will not withstand the weight heavy trucks . They will definitely crack under such pressure.
Lastly, the cost of tiles with authentic anti slip surface would be very expensive. They are even more expensive than granites.

In the long run, tiles are preferable but you see those quality outdoor tiles you mention don't come cheap...forget these guys using cheap tiles, you don't want to manage anyhow tiles for this project

erico2k2:

I disagree with you, al you just stated are equally employed in making outdoor tiling landscape. Even more. You need a colourant, a sealant and a releasing agent.

I speak from personal experience and quotation. You use a more cement for outdoor still buy tiles..colourant, a sealant and a releasing agent money is chicken change to price of tiles

Why don’t people consider tiles for outside flooring?

This right here is well done and beautiful

Might be cheaper too

Stamp is good but the heat during hot weather is something else

Simply put, it is much more expensive when compared with stamped concrete.
Consider you will spend money on following:

Floor preparation
Cement and sand
Cost of quality outdoor tiles
Labour

Na for which beer joint you get this information, lol.Nobody is subsidising any dollars to bdc..Is #1251 really cheap in the first place to sell dollars to bdc....haba guy.
Then on fuel subsidy. The money from crude is used to buy refined fuel and not naira. It is nnpc that is importing the fuel and can tell the cost associated with it.Therefore nobody can say if it is subsidized to us in naira or not.If we had private participation in fuel importation we could claim it is subsized based on how much they buy dollars And imported fuel for consumption has dropped significantly not that bloated figure

Lol @ beer joint...
I am also optimistic the Naira will be strengthened and eventually be exchanged according to it's true value but for now o, #1,251 low and is artificially capped, so the CBN is subsidising. Our currency is merely a means of exchange and not a store of value. Now if you also say that pms is not subsidised, I cannot be bothered...

Up Naira! please collect your gold medal from the moderator, you win.

It's on you to back up your claim by explaining the reasoning or research behind it.

The information available publicly doesn't align with your subsidy claim, so provide evidence by specifying the exact subsidy amount, recipients, and providers.

Alright, if you consider FX sales to BDCs as a subsidy, how much is this subsidy worth?

Could you share a link that supports the existence of this N17 billion fuel subsidy?

Now that the market is flooded with USD, the price has to come down to reflect economic realities... grin grin

Next focus for the govt should be stopping reducing oil theft and government borrowings then we are good wink

The market is unfortunately not yet flooded.

You're right, oil and gas is 89% of our exports o. If action is not taken and CBN keeps paying subsidies on FX, it will go back up sooner or later.
