The issue of getting fairer or even tone skin starts with a well exfoliated skin as well as a healthy skin. There are so many people in nigeria that claim to have solution to one skin problem or the other, but a lot of us can bear me witness that at the end of the day, some of them leave your skin worse than they met it, I have been privileged to correct a lot of those mistakes done by the so called skin experts. What I am saying in essence is that it is good to desire a good skin, it is good to want to take care of your skin but its best to approach a professional to get it done. That way u are sure of lasting results. Apart from helping people's skin, I also train people who are tired of suffering in the hands of the so called professional and who feel its time to finally know what is behind the curtains of skin care. If you fall among these people who need to nourish their skin or learn how to nourish it you can add me on 2A83FD7E. I am an esthetician who is more intrested in the overall health of your skin than the bleaching or lightening aspect.

Culture / Celebrating The Nigerian Guy by Toyindebbie: 9:41pm On Mar 30, 2013
I love the Nigerian guy

He lives each day trying to please his woman, he may have other girls but he places no one above her, his wish, above all things is peace, a month, a week, or even a day without her ‘nags’. He keeps up with her PMS secretly praying for her to be fine.

When she cries for no reason, he yells at her, not out of hatred but so she’d learn to be strong in case he is not around. He keeps his phone away just so she’d not be sad and he can’t really figure why she is always on the look out for it. He tries to remember all relevant dates but since its more than one, he gets confused, in order not to mess it up with a mistake, he’ll rather be quiet about it all.

The things she expects of him, the ones she sees on tv are not just his ways, if he tries to do them, he’ll most likely look like a fool, but he loves her in his own way, he honestly wishes she could see. While she’s asleep, he opens his eyes, fixes his gaze on her and he’s happy to have found such a pretty woman, but just as she stirs he looks away, like he never noticed her. She is his love, she is his life and he wish he could go to the roof top to say it but the words would not just come.

He provides for her, protects and honours his woman, he is quiet while she’s there but turns to a roaring lion fighting for her once she leaves. He is constantly wishing he could rip open his heart and show her so she will see that the other girls, the phone calls, the messages don’t take her place. They are just bad habits which he needs her co-operation to overcome.

He really wants to propose and get married to her but he doesn’t want her to push him just yet. He has his fears too, fear of broken home, fear of being tagged a failure at marriage, fear of not being the father he is expected to be. His whole world revolves around her, but in a rather queer way, different from what is written in those books.

And then, despite all her nagging, screaming, trailing and monitoring him, he’s most likely prepared to stay with her and not divorce her, because if not for any other reason, she is the mother of his kids.

Have you met him yet? He is the typical nigerian guy. The one we all grumble about yet can’t live without .

“we see all the love you show us guys, we just have to stand up to you to ensure you end up a better person”

Health / Your Skin And Your Kitchen by Toyindebbie: 10:21pm On Mar 29, 2013
A DIY hydrating facial mask;

Atimes, we wake up to this feeling of cranckiness on our face, or after applying make up, its like there has been a mighty erosion on the surface of your skin with different patches, scales, peels and the likes, yet you not only desire this smooth, soft , supple skin you know you deserve it......

Then join me as we walk through the path of creating this moisturizing facial mask straight from your kitchen.....

Things you'll need:

1/2 Avocado pear
3 tbsp pure honey
egg white (oily skin)
egg yolk (dry skin)
tepid water (lukewarm)
2 slices refrigerated cucumber
soft music

Method;

avocado

peel off the skin of the avocado fruit or scoop out the content with a spoon into a bowl. put the egg (white or yolk) note; if you have combination skin you can use both the egg white and egg yolk and then add the honey, mix together till you get a smooth paste.

Put some water to boil, insert a soft face cloth into it, bring it straight to your face in order to open up your pores, repeat this 3 -4 times and then apply your mixture unto your face as a mask. when every inch is covered, relax in a sleeping position, face up and then place a cold cucumber slice on each eyelid.... this helps relax the eyes, gets rid of eye bags too.

relax with soft music for 15-30 minutes and then wash your face with warm water, rinse off with cold water to close back the pores. pat dry and moisturize lightly with vitamin e oil, extra virgin olive oil (evoo) or a light water based moisturizer and enjoy your newly found supple skin

Note; you can wear this mask once or twice a week especially if you have severe case of dry skin

Literature / Tribute To Chinua Achebe by Toyindebbie: 10:08pm On Mar 29, 2013

It is highly imperative as a daughter of this soil to celebrate a man, one who gave the world a clear window through which they saw this great land, our country.

We should celebrate a man who dedicated his life to the use of his pen and who used this pen as a soldier would his gun in battle (like his life depended on it)

We have to celebrate a man who not only left his footprints on the sand of time but who left enough bookmarks for every generation to identify which print is his.

His name cuts across every generation, someone who creates common point between different civilisations
His life was lived selflessly to us hence every tribe could call him his own. He represented the new Nigeria as well as he did the old

He was an ambassador, our ambassador whose crown was indeed his pen. He carried his thoughts gallantly on paper, always crystal clear
He did not for any reason compromise because he knew what it meant to fall apart and he lived his life as an example, a show to all of us.

He is Chinua Achebe, the great one. Chinua Achebe, the name that sends you thinking. At the mention of his name, i think things fall apart, i think morning yet on creation day, i think no longer at ease, i think arrow of God, i think anthills of the savannah .

I think many stories, the stories that helped me see the generation behind, that made me understand the life before mine, that made me believe in the new Nigeria, that made me know truly that we have a voice, a voice out there on every important historical shelf of the world, the voice made possible by Chinua Achebe.

He is gone, but he lives on, there is life in all his works, he lives in every house, office, school, nation where there is a copy of any of his works.... he is Chinua Achebe, evergreen......
