its not your responsibility to "try to make them feel better" inasmuch as you werent the one who hurt them to begin with.

that's the root of the problem.

i think you try to make yourself "feel better" by singling out girls who you feel are emotionally vulnerable due to their past experiences.

but the thing is the girls can sense your emotions are shallow (no offence) even though you feel they are deep.

you are trying to atone for something in your own personal life without explaining exactly what the thing is. And the risk you will do exactly what you're condemning in their previous boyfriends, is quite high, since you are also not respecting their feelings just like the previous ones.
