CR-V is LESS expensive to maintain compared to 02 Nissan Pathfinder.
Cost of servicing(4Ltr Oil 4,800 & filter less than 1200)
Cost of parts(CR-V wins)
Cost of fuelling(CR-V wins)
Sensors(CR-V has no sensor that can fail on you)
Tyre replacement(CR-V wins)
And the list goes on and on.

The 02 pathy is only better in terms of power & torque because of its award winning VQ engines.

The 02 pathy actually uses 4ltr for oil change while CRV uses 5ltr

The 02 pathy doesn't use camshaft sensors...05 upwards does.

The 02 pathy loses in terms of fueling because its a V6 but to be honest, with that number of torque,its worth every drop.

The 02 pathy cost of parts is cheap because...well...its a Nissan.

The 02 pathy doesn't understand what tyre replacement means in your theorical view..

CRV weilds an i4 engine, pathfinder weilds a V6 engine...
CRV is more expensive to maintain than pathfinder.

Crv is more lightweight than pathfinder

Pathfinder engine hardly breaks down.

Pathfinder chassis is more prone to rust

Both parts are easily assessible

Pathfinder wields more power than CRV because of its engine disposition.


In a nutshell...
If you travel often, pathfinder is your best bet. But if you travel once in a while,go for the CRV
