The pressure from the whole group i admit cant be healthy, but in truth you created it. Indulge me a moment:

- Please read your thread heading again - that's simply why you have folks looking to get core2duo laptops for 5k

- For Nigerians to send money running into a million plus to someone they have never met or seen in this day and age people have definitely shown you favour

- The main crux and bone of contention is this endless shipping promises. People don't joke with money here in Nigeria - especially if its a bank or co-operative loan. A lot of folks have based business strategies based on what you promised them. Obviously if they are facing pressures where do you expect them to vent it if not at your door step?

- if there are folks that owe you money based on your arrangement it is your right to collect, however it should not be at the expense of others. A long time ago in one of our conversations i expressed concern of the sustainability of your business model if you remember, its your business and only you can set the rules

This thread is filled with some of the most patient people i've seen on nairaland yourself included, but for the way it is today the bulk rest squarely on you, the responsibility is all yours. That is Entrepreneurship. When you win you get the fame, when problems arise you get the blame.

Going Forward please try and do the following:

- I strongly believe there are events that you have not declared, however that is your prerogative, and this is just my opinion. Please tell everyone with certainty when they can pick up their items. Air cargo takes 24hrs from departure to landing, the added days are for logistics/paperwork. Please confront these your shippers if need be for evidence, cargo transit have manifest and in most cases tracking codes.

- You should realize the internet allows everyone anonymity, however you never know whose on the other end, hence i think courtesy and politeness is a must in every conversation. Not everyone is a 18 year old school leaver trolling the internet. Please even in heated exchanges lets keep it civil.

- Don't promise anything unless you are 200% sure

- 2015 is just 5 weeks away i think you would agree with me it would be better to end this drama on this side of the clock and wake up to a new slate.

You dont disappear in the USA, once you are in the system you can be tracked, it is not naija. I think we should all meet via bbm/whatsapp for a conference meet. There are processes and procedures we need to be aware of if it comes down to the worst. And if the worst is about to happen time becomes critical

pls i av similar issue wit my mini(Hp dm4).
most often, it shows "batt3 not detected" - even wen fully charged. it doesnt power on on its own buh wen powered on thru DC, it lasts hrs witout bein plugged.
also, d media player skips/siezes every 5secs wen playin videos n like every 2 mins wen playin audio.

Hi slaak, this your issue will require you eliminating possible causes one by one o. however i suggest you use google first of to find out if theres any known related cause.

Here are the issues you need to confirm:

- the status of your battery - (the best test for this is powering your laptop into bios setup and leaving it there till it goes of. since there is no energy saving feature active when the system is in bios setup the system will stay on without going into sleep/standby/hibernation till the battery is fully drained. All you have to do is time it to determine your current battery backup time. Alternatively someone posted a command that can run a diagnostic scan on the battery in the previous page, you can give that a shot.

- Reinstall a clean os
- is your board amd? if so use the internet to check up on known issues, they vary from hardware to simple driver issues.

But the part about it not powering on unless plugged in and then staying on battery for hours when unplugged is pointing more towards a board issue.

These items are for a project I'm already a week behind delivery and they are the last piece to the entire system. From what you're saying it seems were not even sure the items were dispatched.
As I don't have the luxury of time could you please figure out what's going on in the next 24hrs. If you have to cancel and get a refund let me know so I can quickly make alternative arrangements for another set from eBay.

@lagtech, with all the pain you have subjected me to, i bought this dell from your inventory for my little sister, after delivery to her she has return to my office due to bad battery, yet you ship it out and you know battery was bad.

I am having the same problem with one of the 2 laptops I got last week and I may have to buy another battery for the system. I have decided not to press the issue and pray patiently for the arrival of my six remaining laptops.
Virtually everyone have one complain or the other and the only thing we can is to pray that he overcome whatever challenges he is facing now so that everyone will be happy again and I pray the remaining laptops won't have the same battery issue.

This thread can do with a factory load of happiness!

By the way is the os on these systems win7? if so shutdown the system and charge it till the light indicator indicates full charge. Then turn it on and go into the bios setup page. Unplug the ac power cord and leave the system. Time it to see how long it stays on, this will give you a true idea of the condition of the battery. if it stays on for the normal amount of time 90 mins - 120min (for older laptops) then the system has the win7 power driver issue, you may have to use winxp/vista (hopefully thats the case and not the battery)

I dont buy the issue of shippers causing this as there are other commitments that you should fufill that is not dependent on shippers. Whatever is going on you have handled it in a very shoddy and uproffessional manner and taken a lot of folks for granted! As far as am concerned you have morgaged off your integrity and brand reputation........Whatever you got in return i sure hope it was worth it.
