Nope trading only chart pattern is not an edge, it's part of an edge, abstract chart patterns, price and timing are components of a strategy with an edge, why is it that retail traders don't want to believe that the Forex market is heavily biased against us, if we can believe that and strategize accordingly, that mindset is an edge.

Your strategy is your edge, the plan or setup that gives you a higher win rate against the market is your edge

You will lose from time to time that is normal but because your strategy win rate is higher than it lose rate, the law of Average will play itself out by favouring you in the long run. This is why risking small portion is very important

Bro if you have an edge that can win at least 3 trades out of 10 or 5 out of 20 trades, consistently, the patience and discipline will automatically evolve inside the trader, the question we should be asking is how many of us have that edge, I am still searching for that edge my dear.

The million dollar question is can you be patient to wait for a chart pattern to appear and can you be discipline to say NO to other strange strategies that will affect your edge?

The only way to survive in this Forex business that is heavily rigged against retail traders is to find an edge that wins at least 3 out of 10 trades, set your stoploss according to how much capital you can let go without getting high BP eg, if you can easily sacrifice 100usd without having any nervous breakdown, divide the 100 USD into 10 places and enter each trade when you see your edge, avoid breakeven because it can be hit 10 out of 10 and hope for the best with fingers crossed.

the major reason people fail in trading is because they underate patience and discipline
We want to make quick money but we forget that making quick money is a two edge sword, you could make quick money and you could lose all your money quickly

Risking small lot size per trade is also an act of patience and discipline

Phase 2. Max drawdown. Almost passed, Not happy but i'm back to the trenches. I wish but it is what it is.
I blame myself because I didn't follow my rules squarly, I also blame eight cap broker for their nonsense candles. It's no excuse but when a trade gets stopped and moves in ur direction in more than 10 trades, its the broker and not the trader. Who blames d broker more than the losing trader? Profitable traders who know that the brokers are after their earned dollars. Or na me no dey set stoploss right. Anyhow sha. Maybe I lack patience

I no sabi wetin dey rush me sha, I'm cool now tho.
I'm a RICH trader and not a broke trader anymore.
I have the skill, but it takes time to conquer greediness. Na my greed crash this challenge amd previous challenge.
I have conquered greed, just that I didn't obey my lotsize rules and positions on this one.

I lacked patience, maybe because I got frustrated by the broker but I suppose maintain my cool since I know the brokers are after my money. Soon, man will get these pay checks steadily.

I can see it now.

The quality of our leadership is poor.

We don't know our long or short term interests.

No one will admit it That child abuse in form of beating and coporal punishment has effectd on them. The passive aggression is something ruining everyone. The misogyny and the rest traces back to something. When violence is the only way of living,it traces back to abuse. Some people rarely use the magic word. Vulgar,swearing,slamming doors,banging tables,raising voices. Some(like myself) are conflict avoidant and ghost others as a means of survival/protecting our feelings instead of communication.

Comparing you to your siblings that do better. Parading you in the school for pooing on your body. And the rest. Belittling you or scolding you in public to prove to others that they are a disciplinarian or manipulation of everything about you just so your parents will not embarrassed in public.

I don't want to talk of boarding school. One girl almost sent me to my creator because the guy she liked was hitting on me.

But no,"beating made me who I am" . Who are you? If I may ask. A third world unattractive low earning hypocrite . Who are you? Some dirty misogynist dealing with scabbies and body odour and broke and still eating from mother pot or living in Shanties and squalors with mattress on the floor.

Or the hook up girls were not flogged?

I recall an accident that made me realize most Nigerians are mentally unstable. I went to a restaurant with a coursemate to eat. He was frowning at some point and I inquired if all was well. Then he said ,"just look at them,they can will never cook but will be coming outside to eat. All these irresponsible girls". I asked if he was alright and he was like, "I just feel irritated when I see a lady eating outside when she should be cooking".
Till today I struggle to come to terms with the fact that instead of eating your food in peace,and walking out,you will devote your time to evaluating and noticing others.
The guy was "disturbed". Him and many others hold very strong opinions and expectations of others that owe them nothing and are quietly living their lives because someone must have subjected them to some high subjective standard. The cycle repeats itself

When growing up, my elders wanted me to be like how they wanted me to be, so now I'm grown up I want others to be as I want them to be and if they are not like how I want them to be, I will become angry and frustrated
