Let's even look at the issue. If you hike the rate from the current 60/70Naira for those below Band A to say 150 Naira per KWh, how on earth do you expect the common man to benefit? An average Nigerian barely gets reprieve from the govt despite paying taxes both official and unofficial. His kids go to private schools, he takes his family to private hospital if he needs a good service, he has no access to public transport, he buys water from cart pushers or digs a borehole, he contributes money for community vigilante.... etc. Take away these big burdens off people and see if they'd care about fuel subsidy

we been having 20hrs light since last year,, our old Meter had an outstanding bill of 1.7m
even if I buy 10k(cos de taking like 40% for every recharge to fix the outstanding bills)for 3days and I comfortably use the light ,, it's still the best,,
nor be all those 3hrs for night 3 hrs for day then pay 7k monthly and buy fuel of 150k that month
