SaharaReporters had reported that at least two staff members of a Chinese construction company, identified as WE Construction, lost their lives in the tragic tanker explosion near the Nyanya Bridge in Abuja.

SaharaReporters had gathered that the explosion also left more than 20 other staff of the company with varying degrees of injuries.

The accident occurred around 6:58pm on Wednesday when a Dangote trailer, heavily loaded with cement, lost control while approaching Nyanya Bridge from AYA and crashed into stationary vehicles trapped in the traffic.

Edo State has been thrown into shock as a 27-year-old man, Uwadiae Airebiuwa, was caught red-handed with a fresh human head inside a polythene bag in Benin City.
A 43-year-old tailor named Edobor Lawrence was brutally murdered and beheaded on March 7, 2025, in what is suspected to be a ritual killing.

According to reports, Lawrence had attended a funeral earlier that day and later spent time drinking and socializing with friends before heading home. Around 12 midnight to 1 a.m., his friends dropped him off near his house at Osagie Street, Evbuotubu Quarters, completely unaware that it would be the last time they would see him alive.

As Lawrence made his way home, he was approached by a group of men. Given the time of night, he may have assumed they were local vigilantes conducting a routine stop-and-search. Unfortunately, these were not real security personnel.

A witness, who had stepped outside to relieve herself, reported hearing a commotion. She initially thought it was an ordinary encounter with neighborhood vigilantes until she heard a chilling scream followed by silence.

Lawrence had been attacked, killed, and gruesomely beheaded.

Reports suggest that the killers placed his severed head into a polythene bag and attempted to leave the scene quietly. However, fate had other plans. As they were trying to flee, they spotted an approaching security patrol team.

Realizing they were about to be caught, most of the killers ran in different directions, but one suspect, 27-year-old Uwadiae Airebiuwa, was not so lucky.

Shocking Discovery
Uwadiae was stopped and questioned by operatives of the Evbuotubu Police Division, who were working alongside local vigilantes. When asked what was inside the bag, he hesitated. The officers, sensing something suspicious, searched the bag and were horrified to discover a freshly severed human head.

The freshness of the head indicated that the murder had occurred only moments before. When pressured further, Uwadiae led the police to where the rest of Lawrence’s mutilated body had been dumped—near Eweka Shopping Plaza.
