The risk of contracting HIV from barber clippers is considered very low. HIV is primarily transmitted through direct contact with infected bodily fluids, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. Here are some key points to consider:
1. HIV Survival Outside the Body: HIV does not survive long outside the human body. It becomes inactive when exposed to air, which significantly reduces the risk of transmission.
2. Blood Exposure: For transmission to occur via barber clippers, there would need to be a significant amount of infected blood on the clippers and a way for that blood to enter the bloodstream of another person (e.g., through a cut or open wound). This scenario is very unlikely.
3. Hygiene Practices: Most barbers and salons adhere to strict hygiene and sterilization practices to prevent the spread of infections. This includes cleaning and disinfecting tools between clients.
4. Other Infections: While HIV transmission is unlikely, there are other infections that could potentially be transmitted through improperly cleaned clippers, such as hepatitis or bacterial infections.
In summary, while it is theoretically possible to contract HIV through barber clippers if specific conditions are met, the risk is extremely low if proper hygiene practices are followed.
During a recent visit to commiserating with the victims of the Eleme fire incident at Eleme section of the East-West Road, Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi once again became dramatic when a female reporter asked him to answer a question in pidgin. In response, the minister stated: “I no sabi speak pidgin; I no go night school.” His response has sparked a wave of discussions across various platforms Recall that the Minister also went dramatic with Arise News correspondent, Laila Johnson-Salami during a stakeholders engagement on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway project in Lagos on Wednesday during the Q&A session when Laila grabbed the microphone to ask Mr Umahi about Environmental Impact Assessment report for the project. Shortly after the journalist introduced herself and was about asking her question, Mr Umahi interjected saying ; "Sister, I was raised in the village. I no de hear 'phoney' ", in an attempt to stop the journalist from proceeding with her question. It is not clear why the minister decides to play up such drama to intimidate journalists.
rentAcock: The average Nigerian is gullible. The before picture is photoshopped. See how blurry the wound section is compared to the healthy part of her leg. Also notice how there's barely any scar tissue or mark on her foot. After a deep tissue damage like that, even plastic surgery cannot replace it back to such a pristine condition as if nothing happened. Very soon, OP will start selling you guys the so called "traditional" medicine he used to clone his sister's leg.
I have to tag the above name as I went back to the previous thread to read some of the comments.
Whatever alternative medical intervention that op’s sister went through should be studied, researched and improved on. This is amazing. For a doubting Thomas like me, I’m glad to be disappointed. If I had commented on the previous thread of 2021, I would’ve discouraged any effort to patronise any church or trado-medicine and I would’ve called the op silly for even contemplating taking his sister to traditional medical practice.
The transformation is amazing. I still think that the patient could benefit from orthodox medicine. The surface of the wound needs plastic surgery and it hasn’t healed properly. Care is advised as the surface is still vulnerable and there’s still risk of serious infection. Whatever organic herbs, plant roots antibiotics that were administered should be adhered to till the legs is healed, the mid foot and toes are filled with fluid still. I know it’d sound crazy telling them to go to hospital. I don’t think this intervention alone is enough.
All the best wishes to this lady.
We still have plans of taking her to the hospital when we have enough money to foot the bills. Thanks for your advice.
So after my sister insisted that she would not go to the hospital to avoid amputation, we decided to respect her choice and allow her continue with the traditional medicine. This is the state of her leg two years later.
oxypressPlus: What you can do to save the leg: If the toes are still moving then there is life down to the toes.
If any dead bones they need to be removed.
The wound can heal with hyperbaric oxygen therapy --hbot.
The blocked blood flow caused the tissues to die. To heal the wound you need high dose Oxygen -hbot to do the magic. If oxygen does not get to the swollen leg the wound will continue to expand.
Facilities with hbot can easily treat the wound Try hbot before giving up on the wound. If there is any scan or xray report of the bones they can rule out osteonechrosis. If you are interested we can help.
We are HBOT PROVIDERS.
The toe is still moving cos she still walk on her own.
What's the cost of the HBOT, and what's the guarantee?

theNaughtyPope: You see my issues with Christianity in Nigeria? Simple issue that would have been diagnosed and maybe given prescription, you took it church and the con pastor used your sister's leg to do trial and error treatment.
Na amputation remain, or a miracle from Pastor Lazarus of Lord's Chosen
The treatment wasn't done in church. Someone took her to where they do native treatment
