As I would advice a brother I would strongly suggest you add 5k and get a redmi 8. You won't regret it.... But if not there's a black Friday Redmi 7a you can get for less your budget.

I regret upgrading my POCO F1 to MIUI11. My phone is now stupidly slow and drains my battery. A phone that could last me 24 hours can't even last 12 hours. The worst thing is I updated my WhatsApp and the latest version takes at least 30% of my battery even when I am sleeping and doing nothing. I am tired of my phone.

I'm Sure with subsequent updates the phone will get better.... Please don't give up yet

My main issues are d areas of battery life n performance. Since redmi 7 has a beta processor than 8 n redmi 8 has a beta battery life than 7. From your description I'll advise you strongly to get a redmi 8. The processor is a downgrade yes, but not to that massive an extent as you think. It's a no brainer at its price point.

No But........... I humbly acknowledge that the redmi 8 is a full upgrade from the redmi 7 I'm getting a MI 9t next week but if xiaomi releases MI 10t I might not upgrade even with all the features thereof. But if someone wants to upgrade then it's totally fine. In my opinion the processor is the only downside here bro. If we notice, xiaomi tends to draw one thing back always in this successive products and it shows. Remember the Mi a2/mi a3 (720p display), mi 9/ Mi 8(ois) etc We definitely can't have it all.....

What intensive stuffs please? Also you know that the antutu score of the 439 is 80,000 Right? Vs 100k on the 632. That's like a 730 Vs Kirin 810. The 439 and 632 were released at the same time by Qualcomm so it might have had something to do with xiaomi throwing it's weight with the 439. The 810 is better yes, but you can still use the 730 good. Same goes for the 632 and 439. Apart from the processor In what other way is the redmi 7 better?

Definitely.The redmi 8 is better than the redmi 7 In all aspects apart from the processor which isn't that much of a big difference. The processor is even built on an 11nm process vs 14nm on the 636. coupled with the gigantic battery and fast charging, along with a nice camera and display, these features will make the redmi 8 a no brained at that price segment. There's a marketing strategy xiaomi brought with the Note 8 and that's More ram at a lesser price the base ram is actually 3gb Vs the 2gb on the redmi 7. Saying its a big downgrade isn't right in my humble opinion. Antutu scores? Well, have a look....
