Alright. Could you describe the nature of the video interview?

For those of u confused... I will use myself as an example.
I applied for both Graduate trainee and entry level which I think are the same, whatever documents u v been asked to submit, pls submit all online. Not up to a week I registered I was called for assesment on Saturday. The assement contains certificate screening(pls come with all your originals) no matter your story. Then pre-chat( just to know how sound you are) nothing serious lastly is the CBT [MATHEMATICS (ratio, rounding off, decimal calculations, mean average and basic maths) ENGLISH ( synonyms and antonyms, comprehensions(try to read the questions b4 reading the passage, it saves u time) ] in all 50 questions for 1hr,... Pls b conscious of your time. For the interviews.... For the first pls relax and ans all questions appropriately... I noticed those who have experience one way or the other or are presently working where dropped( my speculation is they want people who will work for them and are Goal oriented i.e want a career in the company and not people who the minute they get a better offer abandon the company) above all b humble, don't be too over confident. The second interview no matter all the above mention qualities( humility and so on) they will shake you, annoy u sef, put pressure on u above all b calm and don't talk too much, b straight to the point. Be prayerful as well. All the best guys. As for me Banking school is on monday.

I never said "a date would be announced" I only said "there would be an official announcement" well the monday is almost here and it remains to be seen how true the info is...I just pray they announce a favourable date to everyone...you r welcome tho*

For TRPS I wasn't but i heard some units were actually given a written test as part of their assessment. Which unit did you choose?

Audit, Tiwa. I was told applicants were in previous years, engaged in an abstract reasoning test. Just needed to corroborate the claims.

Ok. Try and get familiar with the other participants you will be paired with before you start off. During your panel interview,ensure you keep eye contact and you smile. They should not ask you a lot of questions cuz they actually allocate a limited time for their panel interviews.

For the group work,you will be given a case study to tackle with your team, it's usually quite easy and straightforward,however make sure you participate.do not interrupt anyone as they speak,and if you do not agree with what a member says,state constructively. They are watching you. If you want to speak,make sure what you are saying is actually meaningful and keep to time.

For personal presentation. Its gonna be for 5mins tops per person. You won't be using your phones or writing materials,just your head..lol. the questions could be quite lengthy. Be coincise. Maintain eye contact as well. At the end of it all,they should tell you all they liked and did not like about you.

However, personally I always hinge on God's grace in everything I do. A lot of people actually did all of the things I pointed above but still didn't make it past AC. It was not even all of these that helped me because my interviewers unlike others, did not welcome a conversational interview or a relaxed one. They even said it.So if you are a christian, do your best but my dear, it's all about God at the end of the day.. for me. Have fun,come early and dress smart. All the best.

I think you can manage all your needs and still flex if you're prudent with money on a budget of 30k. For me, I think I spent between 50-70k in camp which may or may not be much if you think about it. Minus my allowee which I also blew.

I am really sensitive to issues concerning money especially on a forum like nairaland, but I'll put this out there for anyone who really needs the info. I paid 60k. 100% guaranteed.

looking back...generally if you prepare for most of this stages, you'll make it through, be confident with what you've got, your certificate, your school, your cgpa, say it with pride, they tend to prefer asking situational questions, like when have you been in this predicament and you had to use one of those skills we love to quote in our CVs...so best to prepare what to say at times, my PI lasted for over an hour, told about 7 different stories, those execs use interviews to unwind. so entertain them, don't lie oo, they will know

he asked two questions majorly...and that's tradition to some extent...
why are you here? as in, why kpmg, why whatever unit it is?
and what makes you different from the rest, he will use the word, Exceptional!
why did i fail his stage? would have to ask him, but I'll say,
prepare your answers before hand
and look into his eyes..(most importantly)

good evening folks, i just saw this thread after a friend received the invite for the next test, as a full participant of the last thread, the 2015 thread, i figured my contributions might help someone...first of all, if you have been disqualified, thank God, the earlier the better, don't mind me, it's just not something to dwell upon, you really can do better than kpmg, I'm a witness...
and secondly, take each stage one after the other and get enough info about each before going, go to the 2015 thread, there's enough to learn from it...you'll understand quite a lot...go as far as practicing their interview questions. it's routine, i know a guy that crammed interview answers and he's in kpmg right now. so really prepare, it's not something you can't do...
what makes me qualified to comment, i passed the test, passed BAT, passed AC, passed PI...until i had to meet with the head of audit himself...and that was it...

but you'll be fine at the end!!!

Thanks for the information. It's appreciated. But do you mind sharing with us your general interview experience & specifically that with the Head of Audit? Also, with the benefit of hindsight, to what would you attribute your inability to pass that stage? Your robust response would be highly valued.
