PrinceAsanike: It is just unfortunate that you can't reason properly. A man reported that someone was sleeping with his wife, and all the court could do was to give a verdict of three-months in prison or paying a fine of N25k. Your stupidity couldn't let you see the triviality of that case, Just imagine it was your wife, would you be contented with that judgement?
Shari'ah is a law by the Lord Who has Lordship over us. He stipulated the appropriate punishment for every offence according to their gravity. Had we followed the law, there would not be fornication or adultery at this larger scale. It would be at a mimimum par. What is the punishment in your belief?
Are you saying there are no adulterers in the northern states where sharia law applies?
Pack ant infested wood expect visit from lizards...
Modified Okay
Since this made fp, let me copy my comment from a preceding post.
Here you go!
Yoruba don enter one chance.
Very smart game being played here,
Use an igbo Muslim to write your letters and communique to make it seem democratic where as same igbo Muslim lawyer can't lead them in prayers.
After the south West, next stop to set up shari'a law and court will be Imam Haroun Muhammad Eze Esq. Village in enugu state and then the entire south east. Ndi iberibe
Wallade: sponsors of the move to install Sharia courts and system of government in the Southwest is manifesting now.
The Sultan of Sokoto and the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs is part of the plot. That plot will fail. Sharia is unwanted in the Southwest. There are courts in the southWest that can handle civil and criminal offences hence there is no lace for the primitive Sharia rules and punishment.
Any body in the Southwest that is not comfortable can go to the North where Sharia is practiced to stay and reside.
Do you know that if Sharia is allowed in the SW, it means the Sultan will be making laws for Yorubas.
Can the Ooni make laws for traditional worshippers in the North?
The saga surrounding the issues between Minister Mercy Chinwo and her former label boss, Eezee Tee, doesn’t seem to be ending soon. An old video of the two, showcasing a joyful and playful moment, has resurfaced online. In the video, both of them can be seen in high spirits, playing and clapping hands together, seemingly enjoying a happy moment.
Those who have seen the video are wondering what led to the current issues, given that they appeared so happy with each other at the time. Whatever has happened, we pray that they resolve these trying times amicably, to the glory of God, whom both profess.
My writing is for elders to decifer.
They were meant to marry eachother, they would have even testran the machine before things fell apart. The girl turned to her best available option ... that husband looks like a prized piece of work.
So this "manager" licked his wounds and went back to the trenches.
My elder bros was taken to meet a babe someone told him was a good marriage prospect in a nearby town He went there and they met the girl and as soon as my bros and this babe looked at each other for the first time in life, they started laughing.
My bro told us when he came back home that there's only one person he can marry in this life, and it's that girl. Two months later, he paid the bride price and more than 20 years later with many children, I never hear say them quarrelled for even a minute.
Weretuntun: if you have date your boss before. you can share your experience. and how it end
I dated a senior at work, not necessarily a boss. We weren't in the same department but she's way up there! It wasn't any different from any other relationship I've been in. Everybody knew their place. How it ended, her people raised alarm when she left her denomination to join mine. It wouldn't be any other way.(She was Catholic)
Well, that's how I left, since she wouldn't call them to order. I was gonna wed her(she was older). It's been years now and everyone is fine. I'm married with kids, she's married with kids.
casualobserver: I have defined intelligence. You, like most children of the post Babangida era who know no better because they never witnessed the era of intellect in government have defined intelligence by financial success. You don’t need to be intelligent in Nigeria to be rich. If anything financial success in Nigeria is determined by one’s penchant for corruption, criminality and illegality.
There is no derailment. The military era frrom 1984-1999 altered our public space. The result was intelligent people stayed away from government and I agree with ElRufai, financially successful “illiterates” took over the machinery of government.
It is because you are a product of that era that you do not know the difference. When I was growing up people like Peter Obi and Atiku would never have reached the political heights that have. They do because the intelligent people stayed away from politics and created the vacuum which they filled. Even ElRufai’s journey into politics was an accident. Compare Okpara, Zik, Mbadiwe, Sam Mbakwe to Peter Obi. He is not fit to lace their shoes intellectually. Similarly, Atiku. ElRufai is one of a few politicians that can compare intellectually and sit comfortably with the great politicians of old.
Shifting the goal posts won't save you.
By the way, I'm pretty sure I'm older than your big brother.
casualobserver: The problem in Nigeria is we have elevated mediocrity to great heights because the real intelligence has taken a backseat in our public affairs. Who were they how did they make their money? Customs, buying and selling, looting government money? Is that intellect? What did the intellect do for them when they were in office, what was the legacy of their intellect when they were in office.
They say when you roll around in sheet, you no longer recognize the smell. Criminals are the ones who manor money in Nigeria. So don’t equate financial success in Nigeria as a measure of intellect. ElRufai is one of the few real intellectuals in public service. Most intellectually gifted people cannot bring themselves to navigate the political space.
Although academic qualification are not always a reflection of intellect they are often a pointer. Peter Obi got a 3rd class in philosophy, Atiku got a diploma in hygiene. ElRufai is a first class graduate in Quantity surveying.
Ability to loot government funds, rig elections, make money from drug trafficking, forex tripping, government contracts, become rich because you are the sole agent for certain products is not a measure of intelligence. In the Nigerian context, it just means you are a hustler and you are prepared to whatever is required to make money. These are the qualifications of most people in the public space that you say look at what they were before! Those are not measures of intelligence. By saying look at what they were before you betray yourself because you are elevating and celebrating opportunists and thievery not intelligence.
I ask again, tell me about their lives and achievements before politics...then redefine your "intelligent". No name calling, just get us facts and return to the table. You're bent on derailment.
AMINDA: I will keep saying that Tinubu gained nothing from sidelining Elrufai after publicly begging him to work with him, rather he lost a lot of goodwill from young northerners who are solidly with Elrufai. The reason why northerners stood with Tinubu against their own Atiku was because of the concept of "Amana (Trust)" that the likes of Elrufai stoked in their conscience to vote a Southerner. To see Tinubu go against that Amana leaves a bitter taste in the mouth of northerners.
Contrary to what most people think, even a repeat of 2023 three-way tickets with Tinubu, Obi and Atiku running separately will be tougher than expected because this time, a lot of northerners that voted Tinubu last time will vote Atiku. The toga of corruption that counted against Atiku will not sell because it can be argued that the status quo has not proven to be noticeably different. The fact that this government has not been able to successfully turn the tide on the economy will also count for something.
With the potential coalition and a repeat of the Atiku-Obi ticket with the support of Elrufai, the election might be over before 12p.m. This is because Tinubu has not been able to successfully galvanise the whole South behind him and might even struggle in the Southwest due to inflation and other factors.
Tinubu seems to have finally succeeded in pissing off some northern big wigs. But I expect them to come around when he starts passing around Ghana must go bags. He believes everyone has a price. It's been working so far!
casualobserver: Obi is no threat, Atiku is no threat, Kwankwanso is no threat, combined they are no threat. Because they are all unintelligent and you can guarantee they will fumble.
But you see that ElRufai…..you don’t want him against you. My advice to Tinubu is to find a way to reconcile with ElRufai if he wants a 2nd term.
There are only 3 politicians in Nigeria to fear. Tinubu, Wike and ElRufai. Tinubu is a strategic thinker, Wike and ElRufai are intelligent trouble makers. The others have a very low IQ and are not strategic or have the intellectual capacity to cause an upset even combined.
I was gonna let this slide, but... These guys you labeled "unintelligent" , check who and where they were before they all ventured into politics and compare it with those of your "intelligent" men. Then let's come back and redefine "intelligent".
ElevationD: Tinubu single handedly brought Buhari. He said it. Tinubu was the link that Buhari needed to connect the SW. Buhari already had resigned to fate after serial losses and was no longer willing to contest the Presidency after 2011. Tinubu reawakened him. The rest is the experience that Nigerians now have since year 2015.
All those Atiku, El Rufai, Amaechi, etc, who have found themselves at the back seats are paying for allowing the same Tinubu help them destroy PDP in 2015.
You got that right! He led them to destroy the party and still has his hands on their jugular
Edygrin: The All Progressives Congress, APC, has attributed the “catastrophic disintegration” of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the political desperation of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
So the factories in Aba alone pass the whole SW!!!
Punch Newspaper....The Epicenter and propaganda 'print arm' of LAGOS-IBADAN fake News merchants.
I am waiting for PUNCH to do their normal IPOB propaganda...
Everybody eyes don open ..ooooo!!
SW propaganda is now DEAD!!
Whether the number is correct or not, shouldn't we be bothered that there are fake factories out there producing fake stuff that you might have consumed one way or the other?
Princedapace: Democracy should be cancelled in Nigeria. I am ashamed of this country. Nigerians will be busy dragging SA and Ghana. But we have a completely finished country. Look at how politicians are proud of their rigging. In a serious country, the three politicians mentioned in this story, along with the Wike friend would be jailed or killed
