SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Cote D'ivoire by TrueTalk3: 11:31am On Jan 22, 2008
Considering my earlier predictions on this thread (as @ 12noon ysday); the match didn't live up to expectations.

None of the teams (both CIV & Nig) were fantastic in their game-flow; but CIV definitely was the better side, winning deservedly.

Berti Vogts has a lot of damage control to do; he didnt exhibit any competence in his management of the Super Green Eagles. His changes made no sense; except the very late injection of Osaze.

Egbon Papillo don old; though a skillful veteran with a great wealth of experience. Personally, I'll bring him into the 2nd half (when/if we are leading) to hold the game, maintain possession and stabilise our midfield. Starting the game and building the team around him; was a grave mistake.

Mikel remains an average player. Nothing outstanding. He didn't live up to his perceived superstar status at all.

Danny Shittu was impressive!

Yobo is becoming more and more synonymous with fatal mistakes/disasters

Osaze was the only Super Eagle that flew!

Yakubu is damn too lazy. I agree we aren't paying him as much as he earns in Everton; but at least for the sake of patriotism he ought to do better.

Taye did what he was meant to do.

Infact I tire! Make we wait for the match against Mali!

cool

PhonesRe: MTN Barred From Further Sale Of SIM Cards? by TrueTalk3: 9:58am On Dec 17, 2007
I'm a little curious when its being mentioned that MTN (or any network at all); tends to cheat people / make money off drop calls.

I need a little enlightenment here; I'm of the opinion that no-one is cheated with per second billing. If your call drops in 7secs, you get charged for 7secs abi?

The issue of House of Reps banning or not banning shows our misplaced priority. The House of Reps should get busy, looking into the provision of infrastructure/amenities (most especially electricity), rather than try to bully any network in order to adduce self-gratification.

Where is the Security in Nigeria, to help look into the vandalisation of these networks' equipment, and even national infrastructure?

No doubt these GSM operators need to up their game in delivering quality service (I personally don't see the need for 3.5 or 4G, when simple calls dont connect); yet the government also has alot on its plate to prioritize.

Ban MTN ko!, Ban Mtel ni!!

@herbsman,

out of curiosity and with the urge to encourage good stuff out of 9ja; I'll like to ask, are these jackets made/sown/assembled by you.

(from the picture I guess its a 9jan designer at work)

If so, nice one!

If I can get a good assurance of the quality, then I might patronise.

Christianity EtcRe: Redeemed Church Opens World's Biggest Auditorium, Costs N7.7b by TrueTalk3: 10:59am On Dec 12, 2007
We are in dire need of help in this country!

Rather than just sit back and wag tongues in criticism; we need to be more open in reasoning.

People (with common belief and vision) have come together with their own money to achieve their goal/vision/interest and all faceless people can do is to come on this forum to post rubbish.

So what if people are living in abject poverty? Is it due to the N7.7b auditorium being built?

Do you know what great impact and feat the church is achieving as regards welfare programs for the poor in the land?

When diverse donations are made to the welfare of poor (un-connected) people, you don't jump on forums to post.

The church has in many ways come to the aid of our non-performing government; and all you want now is to make the church carry the entire responsibilities of the government.

Abeg, try and demand accountability when it comes to your money/taxes/national resources; not others people's hard earned money.

Like 'Kobo rightly said; people are hungry; yet you have 4 pairs of shoes. Shouldn't you be sent to jail (according to your reasoning)?

If the world largest auditorium sits in 9ja; then we have another feather added to our cap!
