Iamblessed8888:Someone said this same thing a few days ago and ended up coming back to say he eventually saw a loss. Zedcrest lost yesterday on my app. I cannot speak for anyone else but I assume everyone gets the same value.. Always look at the actual mutual funds and not the value on the total balance. That takes much more time to update |
Uberchic1:It is important we stick to the issues raised. Nobody says all equity funds have to gain daily. In fact, I am more concerned with safety of funds than growth. The idea of this thread is to scrutinize and determine which funds are safest so nor be quarrel. I also have huge funds there so losses here and there is not a problem for me. However, you should be concerned if ytd increases on a particular day and the fund records losses. This is not the first time we are seeing losses but I am pointing out a pattern. What I am concerned about is transparency and you should be concerned too. This is Nigeria. |
EquityM:I am also curious if there is anyone who has seen a 50% increase in value since January 1st on the Zedcrest equity funds. Maybe other subscribers will let us know. |
EquityM:Yes, I noticed CS gained around 1.5%. I monitor them daily. Once I recoup my loses from Zedcrest; I ll exit it and stick with cardinal stone. Transparency is much more important to me than profit. Zedcrest ytd rose yesterday but there was a loss. So how do we justify that? |
Ogborokiri:It is important that we wait till the funds update before speculating. Yes, cardinal Stone turned a profit yesterday, Stanbic equity turned a Tiny profit but Zedcrest lost. I lost 7,000 Naira on Zedcrest. Sometimes, people just look at the total balance which takes time to change, they do not bother to click portfolio, investment, mutual funds to check the actual amount. Zedcrest gained day before yesterday and lost yesterday. I am beginning to think all this ytd are fraudulent. Your ytd cannot increase and you are recording losses. As with everything nigeria, there will always be some level of fraud. Zedcrest made a loss yesterday. I am not even sure why. |
cyrilex202:I am sure it will recover. It will just take time. |
cyrilex202:Looking like this Stanbic portfolio gets huge hits anytime the market goes south. Their decline is always larger than similar equity funds. |
Iamblessed8888:Guessed as much |
Iamblessed8888:You gained 60k yesterday? Or day before yesterday? Lucky you. |
Iamblessed8888:Very likely you did not take note of your last balance the day before yesterday. If you do not monitor daily, you may not even notice fluctuations. These things are automated so I doubt anyone can be skipped. |
Iamblessed8888:Click portfolio, then investments. Then mutual funds. You ll see your current balance |
Iamblessed8888:They did not. I lost 26k |
EquityM:Please advise how How you view this dashboard that shows daily ASI? If a website, please provide link. Thank you.
|
EquityM:Thanks |
EquityM:Boss, do you know if all equity funds automatically reinvest your profits? I ask because Zedcrest asks during subscription what % of your earnings you want reinvested. That is not same for Stanbic and cardinal stone. Can you please clarify? |
Iran that has been under immense sanctions and wars for decades sells fuel at 50-60 Naira per liter. Go figure!! |
PJ123:Keep quiet and stop sounding like a slowpoke. What is the price of fuel today in UAE and Saudi Arabia which are oil producing nations like your nigeria? How can a country with so much crude oil be experiencing this huge price fluctuations even in a war?? You would think that your leaders will be sensible enough to ensure that the citizens benefit from the fact that we are a crude oil producing nation. Why should opec external prices affect internal consumption? Shouldn’t we have oil storage reserves for days like this? Shouldn’t you have state refineries just like Saudi Arabia who produce and sell at reasonable prices to their citizens just because it is a locally produced commodity and they can? FYI, opec quotas and prices do not affect your internal consumption. If your government did their job and provided crude 100% to Dangote or to their local refineries if they actually work, they would’ve been able to intervene with price control. Everything is not politics, your country is a joke and a cesspit of corruption and mismanagement. Accept it. |
Uberchic1:Thank you |
EquityM:Thank you for your quick response. I ll just wait for @uberchic1 to respond. Maybe he/she will have an idea. |
EquityM:Boss, I registered with Zedcrest on Thursday night. My profile is on 60% completion. Just the address verification which I also uploaded my utility bill at the same time. The whole of Friday; there was no notification that it had been verified. Still no change as of this message. My concern is that this is usually a litmus test as to how these companies are efficient and reliable. Does it take this long with Zedcrest for address verification?? |
EquityM:Thank you… I appreciate the responses. |
EquityM:That’s fine. What was their return rate for 2025? Any idea? |
EquityM:Does Zrosk have an app? I tried searching but I am not being pointed in the right direction. |
EquityM:Thank you |
EquityM:😳😳 Make we hustle join small |
EquityM:Please how do I subscribe to this Cardinal stone csof? I have set up the app but I cannot find the fund. There is equity, balanced fund, and money market. I have looked everywhere and cannot find CSOF. I appreciate your response. |
Burob:Read the intelligent submission of Hedonisco above. That is how sensible people reason and think. |
Burob:Some of us have companies and can evade it. We are prepared!! It is poor people like you I feel sorry for. |
Burob:I don’t expect a child who doesn’t pay bills to understand.. Please tell us what all the crude oil revenue and indirect taxes including trillions raised by customs yearly and all the Nigerian revenue generation institutions has been used for that has benefited you in the last 20 years if you are that old self. I can’t help you use your brain. All countries pay tax. However, the tax is used for the citizens and the government is accountable. Government that could not develop nigeria with crude oil revenue since 1960, it is when you pay 20% tax through your nose that you ll get dividends of democracy. Abeg, how many Emifele and Yahaya bello do you have in the USA and UK? You can’t think for yourself!! |
grandstar:It is like all defenders of the tax laws have lost their sense of humanity and common sense. For starters, nigeria is an extremely poor country so any taxation targeted at both the rich and poor will have more people fall below the poverty bracket. Nigerians can barely feed, cannot afford fuel and you think it is a good idea to increase taxes. As it stands; you already pay Vat, transfer charges and a lot of other indirect taxes running into billions every year. Now this brings us to the crux of the matter: you are ruled by criminals and kleptocrats, thieves who do not even care what the people say or think anymore. Trillions are looted out of nigeria yearly by your leaders and civil servants which they invest and hide abroad. Now, the government has not shown goodwill by properly fighting corruption, by judiciously recovering monies from corrupt citizens and utilizing it for beneficial projects that are viable and visible. Look at Malami and the trillions he stole in 8 years. Do you know how many Malami’s and Emefiele’s we have in nigeria?? So rather than close the loop holes, show commitment to saving money, recovering money; plugging wastages and doing meaningful projects in a bid to assure the citizens that the government is capable of managing your additional taxes, you think the solution is to tax the people more to fund the hundreds of Malami’s and Yahaha Bellos in Nigeria. You reside in a country where the presidents convoy is longer than the USA president. Where the convoy of local government chairmen is longer than the governor of California whose GDP is larger than Nigeria. You live in a country where the salary of a senator is larger than the Salary of the USA president and you think increased taxation on the citizens is the only way to raise revenue. Shame on you!! Citizens are happy to pay tax then they are assured of services and goodwill. That is clearly not the case in Nigeria. If you think additional taxation is the solution to Nigeria’s problem, you are a slowpoke. |
bassdow:You just want to be seen to be commenting on every single post. Which DIYer doesn’t know the voltage of lithium cells? |
