oludashmi:In addition, there's even a town in the heart of Idomaland in Adoka District, Oturkpo Local Government Area of Benue State called Umuogidi |

oludashmi:There are Igbo clans and communities scattered in 4 southern Local Government Areas of Benue south. These Igbos are related to Izi-Ezaa-Ikwo-Mgbo-Effium, the others are a branch of Nsukka (Adada people). They are found in parts of Ado Local Government Area (parts of Agila, Igumale, Ijigban and Ulayi Districts), Obi Local Government Area (parts of Ito and Worku Districts), Ogbadibo Local Government Area (parts of Orukpa District) and Okpokwu Local Government Area (parts of Edumoga and Okwoga Districts). Notable among the clans are Nwaezeokoha and Nwaezeoka clans etc. |
aljharem:Please the are not Edoid in anyway. You people come up here to depict and expose the limits of your knowledge publicy. Just like Edoid, Igboid, Defoid (Yoruboid), Idomoid is a classification of its own which includes other languages and ethnic groups. Idoma proper is closely related to Igbo more, than to the very far distant Bini. All these stories/legends of origin and migration are very oral and fabrications whose realities on ground oppose. As for Igala, they have a mixture of Igboid/Edoid/Yoruboid/Nupoid. It might have been the dispersal point of these groups or a meeting center of the 4 groups. Edoid and Igboid on the other hand have a lot of words in common, most especially the Ishan and to considerable extent the binis. More research is being done on the Historical interraction of Edo and Igbo |
darfur:In that case You don mad be that. You just exposed your lack of knowledge of history. Daft |
Ika's are not Igbos, how stupid that sounds. They were colonized by the binis not Igbos for hundreds of years yet they still speak Igboid dialect despite their closeness to bini. You people should stop all these. All groups under the Igoid cluster and even beyond are Igbo. Igbos communities/groups cover the entire South Eastern Nigeria, Delta north, majority of Rivers State, some pockets in Bayelsa, Cross River, Akwa Ibom. Benue and Kogi states |
NobiGod:It is true and a fact that the North has more languages and ethnic groups than the South. That should not support the lopesided appointments. I'm not in support of the lopesided appointments. Pierocash:Forget forbes list abi? Na your own list dey authentic. You must be a kid |
Pierocash:And you the complainant, accuser, judge, are you his account officer? What facts do you have apart from newspaper facts and propaganda? |
Pierocash:Please leave Jonathan out of this, this topic isn't talking about Jonathan. It is about the appointments made so far by Buhari. Jonathan is no longer the President, his administration is now a past. It is a lazy argument dragging Jonathan into a topic that doesn't in any way concern him. If you are having issues with Jonathan, create another thread and sort your issues with him. Now we are discussing Buhari |
When it comes to issues of Jamb, Federal Common Entrance for unity schools, Education and things talented and knowledgeable people can do, the North applies the same Federal Character on the South and slaughter merit. A person with score 7 can enrol in school from the north, whereas his/her counterpart in the south with score 250 can't. To disadvantage the Igbo and Yoruba, decreasing their pace of development. But when it comes to National appointments, developmental projects, National fairness and Equity, they slaughter the same federal character and talking rubbish about merit. Does it mean no Igbo or Yoruba merits to be appointed Chief of Staff and SGF, what of Cardinal Okogie, Archbishop Martins, Archbishop Obinna, Pastor Adeboye, Pastor Kumuyi etc since they are looking for saints. There are so many accomplished and well educated southerners that can fill in any position in government and do the job. We had the Dora Akunyili's, the Mike Ahamba's etc, there are still so many of them. It is only clannishness, ethnicity and favoritism that influenced the lopsided appointments, not merit. And such amounts to corruption. |
