Hello House,

Started noticing these on my car couple of months ago.

While starting the car in the morning. I will have to put the automatic gear on drive and wait for some minutes before it engages. However this does not happen when I put in Reverse as it picks immediately.

Something made me to change the gear oil recently but after the gear oil change it is still thesame.

Really do not what could be wrong.

It is a Nissan Altima

Please help is needed. Thanks in advance.

when did U notice d problem?
did work on d car recently?
what jobs were done? wat parts were worked on

vehicle repair history sometyms informs on wats causing a problem.

A rewire worked on it.

He tried to correct the AC wiring

The transmission is perfect. it has been scanned. No fault. It is a 4 speed Auto transmission which uses Matic D. It is the earlier version which is rock solid before they started building the 5-speed tranny which uses Matic K .

Some1 on nairaland directed me to this thread.

Just got this Nissan maxima 04. nigerian used. However I noticed some stuff recently on it.

- It wasnt accelerating as before. I will have to rev up to 3 0r 4 before it moves us to around 60/80 Kmph
- The oil indicator on the dashboard will sometimes come on and sometimes it will go off
- The service engine soon will sometimes be flashing
- The car kind of idle rough .
- I scanned it and got the following codes

- Codes- P1148-CLOSED LOOP CONTROL BANK 1
P1168-CLOSED LOOP CONTROL BANK 2
P0303-CYL 3 MISFIRE
P0037, P0057- Heated oxygen sensor 2 heater control circuit low (Bank 1 & 2)
P0445-EVAP GROSS LEAK
P0011,P0021-Intake valve timing control performance (Bank 1&2)
P1031, P1051-Air fuel ratio (A/F) sensor1 heater control circuit low

some of the codes are repeated.


Please help is needed urgently.

I learnt that not all mechanic can handle the car and it requires someone who can understand it and very experienced on it.

Please anyone that can help to solve all these issues.
