these 'external sources' as you call them have local offices in countries where they operate & these offices are staffed by mostly citizens of that country who are into research.

furthermore, academic & non-teaching staff from higher institutions also carry out research for most of these top research agencies.

so please, do not think reputable organisations just spew figures out of thin air (at least most of them don't)...
the same organisations that predicted nigeria would break up...huh?...

If you check my first post I didn't agree with the op.
sooo, thats reason enough for us to be argueing with each other because op came up with some numbers...huh??...

international agencies cant know the exact numbers....you have nigerians that can raise up n600.000 to go to libya...

its realy not easy to know the numbers...

I disagree with you. How do you classify someone that earns 1 million naira monthly, another one earns 500k monthly, another one earns 50k monthly...now compare them with a business owner with 10 - 50 million naira monthly turnover. Where do you place the looters in government?
I want to believe that the middle class still exists.
I think what we have in Nigeria can be categorised as follows:
The very rich
The rich
The middle class
The middle-middle class(let's pretend as if there is a compound word like that)
The poor
The very poor
and how you wan calculate all this people....were did he get his numbers from....??....were nigerians even conducted before putting up this numbers...??....how can he exactly know this numbers....??...was the federal goverment even asked...??..

it makes no sense putting up numbers....we dont even know exactly how many nigerians live today.....

nobody knows exactly...how about those abroad...huh?....they dont count...huh??

op is a confusionist....go look other threads that he opens....they all dont make sense...

What exactly is so unbelievable about that though??

is it the millions of ASUU and Nasu members who are fighting over crumbs of money dividend?
or the Civil servants, some of which haven't received pay in over 3 months now that will break a middle class barrier.

Truth is, middle Class in Nigeria as of now is just a fancy term for "Poor but I still have change"
exactly...so we dont have to argue about middle class stuff....

nigeria is not a rich country like america....and with the problems we have with our way of thinking,i dont think its a good idea to be calculating middle class...for me,it doesnt exist....what we have is the very rich and the very poor....simple....

What did we gain in the civil war? Lol..

Greedy folks who feels they can have jobs in SW region as well as have their people colonise the jobs in SE like Ojuwkwu and Zik envisaged is talking about selfishness? A case study was University of Ibadan where Zik appointed over 300 Ibos with only 4 Yoruba in the said schools yet you have the audacity to talk about selfishness?

The fact is we got what was fully our right! Yoruba took back their regional affairs from the greedy Ibos while the Hausa/Fulani took away the federal affairs from the greedy Ibos, such as the military Army.

Victim card playing self entitled weasels!
the way they make noise is confusing...no election...how can just deceide for another state just like that...huh?

we keep telling them that the old eastern region doesnt exist no more over and over again, they dont listen...

biafra was fraudulently declared anyways....sooo,whats their to argue about...huh??....

this write up is confusing....fee dee fee chairman....as if the yorubas care that much....fee dee fee is a shitty party....you cant tell us to just forget that boko haram nearly conquered half of nigeria while fee dee fee was in charge.....ridiculous amounts of money just diappeared just like that....

biafra...tahh,who is holding you back..??....forget the delta una said no....we dont want biafra una said we must,we have no other choice....

then insults day and night...if anybody dont agree with you,you call them afonja and deny them their identity...

you people vote fee dee fee,we vote apc....sooo whats the problem now..huh?...if nigeria is that bad according to una, then una can leave...nobody is forcing una to stay....

Our over reliance on importation really affected our local production, manufacturing, agriculture & made industries moribund.

No country develops with so much importation, hence we need to encourage/support local production.

Happy Sunday all.
you could import everything,if you are that rich...but nigeria is not that rich.....thats the problem...

nigeria could say, okay we import everything and no school fees,no tax, subsidies petrol, homes free, social help, free electricity and so on....but we are not that rich....

just facts....

Also LAKE rice sells for 12,000 (bought half bag a while back).. Just go to LTV blue roof or other designated outlets in Lagos to buy from next week.
that SalamRushdie guy is a noise maker...he doesnt care about others...only about himself....na playing oga stuff....

many nigerians have that mentality...they dont want others to be ogas too...

example is the libyan slave trade...who do you think dey lure gullible nigerians to libya...??...not the same nigerians...huh?

sars is hurting their business to stay ogas alone....thats why they want sars gone....
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Popularity Rises As Price Of Bag Of Rice Falls To N13,500 by tsdarkside(m): 9:00am On Dec 10, 2017
importing everything is a good idea...things are cheaper to produce abroad, but it can backfaire too....only the importers will be employed...

the rest will get nothing...we used sooo long to destroy local production...so teyy you have to teach nigerians again how to produce things theirselfs...if una loose una patience then una will return back to what una had before....goverment employing everybody...

thats not gonna work...nigeria is not that rich to play saudi arabia....
