How To Receive

Anyone who wants them must first and foremost be genuinely saved, live Holy and be thirsty. Do not merely imitate those who are already gifted. Rather, yield your entire being to the Holy Spirit. Sometimes, a believer finds out that he has the gift(s) only by a dramatic unexpected expression and manifestation. For others, it could be more “normal”: Mk.16:17-20; 1 Cor.12:31; Jn.15:17; Jn.7:37-39; 2 Tim.1:6; 1Tim.4:14.

Every miracle we receive, will always lead to another miracle. Miracles are not absolutes, as a miracle of Land will require another miracle of provision to develop the Land. Our lives have been structured to continuously trust in God. Faith is the imperative for down – loading God’s miracles and intervention into our lives. JESUS said repeatedly that, “according to your faith let it be done unto you.” All things are possible to those who believe. There is deficiency ratio in every one of us. No matter the level of your own deficiency or limitation, trust in God is the leverage for mitigating our deficiencies. Today, turn your impossibilities to God and you will experience God’s conspicuous miracles. Believe ONLY, you will see the manifested glory of God.

PRAYER: Father God, You are the GOD OF MIRACLES. Nothing is impossible with You. Today, I bring the impossibilities in my life to You. I turnover to You, the impossibilities in my career, finances, marriage, etc.

A Colorado man convicted of kidnapping a toddler from a couple he was staying with in California and sexually abusing the child to produce pornography that he shared online was sentenced to life in prison on Tuesday, prosecutors said.
A federal jury found Shawn McCormack, 31, of Colorado Springs guilty on four counts of sexual exploitation of a child and two counts of kidnapping during a four-day trial in Fresno, California, the U.S. Department of Justice said in a statement.
Senior U.S. District Court Judge Anthony W. Ishii presided over those proceedings in April, and on Tuesday he imposed the sentence on McCormack, the statement said.
The trial heard how McCormack, under the pretense of befriending the child's parents, stayed as an overnight guest on multiple occasions at their home in Bakersfield, California.
Several times, the statement said, he snuck their toddler out of the home in the middle of the night and recorded himself sexually abusing the child at locations including his truck and a nearby motel.
He then returned to the house before the couple awakened in the morning, it said.
Leslie Caldwell, Assistant U.S. Attorney General for the Justice Department's criminal division, called McCormack's crimes "depraved ... the stuff of nightmares."
"While posing as a trusted friend and house guest, McCormack kidnapped his hosts' toddler child and sexually abused the child in local motels and parked cars," Caldwell said.
McCormack shared the pornographic images online, where they were seen by an undercover investigator with the Toronto Police Services, prosecutors said. McCormack also recorded and distributed his sexual abuse of a second child, they said.
He was identified after Homeland Security Investigations agents in Boston, while carrying out a forensic analysis of a computer belonging to another person, viewed copies it held of the recordings and images distributed by McCormack.
"After the agents identified the date, time and motel room in which one of the videos had been produced, they learned that McCormack had rented that motel room on the night when the recording was created," prosecutors said.
U.S. Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner of the Eastern District of California said McCormack's "vile and heart-breaking" acts might have continued undetected for years, if not for the "imaginative, dogged, and painstaking work" of investigators

The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) Regional Director for Africa, Dr Matshidiso Moeti, has disclosed that one out of every six people in Africa suffers from some form of mental disorder.

In a statement commemorating this year’s World Mental Health Day yesterday, Moeti said it was unfortunate that in the course of treatment, some of these patients are subjected to undignified treatment, such as being chained to trees or beds, locked in a cage, left without food for many hours, deprived from family support and inadequate personal hygiene.

“Mental health patients deserve respect and compassion as they cope with their disease, as it is expected of those who suffer from any other disease,” he said.

He state that this year’s theme- Dignity in Mental Hee- Dignity in Mental Health, draws attention to the crucial need to ensure that dignity is preserved in all aspects of mental health, ranging from care for patients to the attitudes of the general public.

Some countries in the African Region have implemented a range of measures to improve awareness, restore dignity, and access to mental health services at all levels of the health care system.

This includes revision of their mental health legislation in order to protect the rights and dignity of persons affected by the condition.

Bassey’s entry SolarKobo is an innovation that will provide solar power systems with zero-upfront financing in Nigeria as a cheaper, more reliable and cleaner electricity source than the private gasoline generators which are widely used to supplement the insufficient public electricity supply.

The innovation will also allow small businesses and families to benefit from solar systems for relatively low monthly fees and will use single board devices for remote monitoring and customer payment systems.

Succor seems to be on the way for the Lagos State Government as the United Nation’s agency, the UN- Habitat, has revealed its plan to partner the state on initiatives that would promote a livable and sustainable city. Speaking during the commemoration of World Habitat Day 2015 in Lagos, UN-Habitat Programme Manager for Nigeria, Mr. Kabir Yari, said that the agency was ready for more robust collaborations with the state government in order to achieve its collective dream of a safer city. He said: “UN-Habitat is ready to support the state government at formulating strategies toward delivering the mandate of a sustainable urbanization and adequate shelter for all.”
The theme of this year celebration is “Public Spaces For All”. World Habitat Day celebration is a United Nations programme with the purpose of reflecting on the state of towns and cities and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. Reflecting on the theme of the celebration, Yari, noted that as more people flock to the cities and human scales become increasingly smaller, avenues for social, cultural and other forms of public interaction have become progressively fewer.
