If that is done tourist will naturally flock in True....but tourists also help boost foreign exchange |

Business › The Alade Mall To Cost N13b, To Be Completed In 2018 by TTLHORLA(op): 12:33pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
The concessionaire of Alade Mall in Ikeja, Lagos State, Master Reality International Concept Limited, yesterday said the proposed mall would cost N13 billion and would be completed in December 2018.
The Group Managing Director, Lai Omotola, said 114 indigenous and foreign brands had shown commitment to renting spaces in the mall.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the structure of the old Alade market was in July dismantled, following government’s approval.
Its entire land area was fenced off, finally giving way for the construction of the proposed mall.
Omotola said the former occupiers had been relocated, adding that this was to pave way for a modern structure that would meet the state’s mega city status.
Upon completion, he said the mall would be the first 24-hour live, work, shop, eat and entertainment smart mall in Nigeria and West Africa.
He said the layout plan included two level basement parking lots for at least 700 cars, a ground floor and three floors.
Omotola said the mall would have 214 shop spaces, a metro hotel, cinema, walk in clinic, an aquarium occupying two levels of floors, restaurants, game shops, offices and common areas of entertainment.
“We have consciously taken our time not just to build a mall but to build a signature edifice that everybody from far and wide will want to come and do a little bit of tourism.
“It is our hope and aspiration that come December 2018, we will have unprecedented shoppers witnessing the opening of the Alade Mall,” Omotola said.
He said discussions were ongoing with the Ministry of Physical Planning to perfect traffic arrangement.
“If you look at our plan, we deliberately shifted the mall backward to create a service lane for the people coming into the mall and then we have three exits,” he said. http://thenationonlineng.net/alade-mall-completed-2018/

Celebrities › Re: Tekno Flaunts All His Awards In 2016 [PICS] by TTLHORLA: 6:00pm On Dec 30, 2016 |
Vickiweezy: One headies award is worth more than 5 soundcity mvp awards, so tekno should not be flaunting shit. No offense NL admin, but Soundcity's mvp award is almost the same thing as receiving award from nairaland . The entire show was wack, nobody came to receive their awards except tekno. There were no special guest to even present the award that Nollywood actor, Ramsey noah had to present an award 2 times. Other special guests (except Banky W & Adesua) who presented awards were total amatuers as most of them forgot which category they were presenting award to and were just stammering on stage. The sound effect + coverage of the event was too poor, DJ Neptune was just adjusting the volume anyhow like he was playing with his remote in his house. People keep talking about the turn-up at the festival, Scity use packaging wash everybody. They combined an award ceremony and xmas festival (award festival) to get such an audience. Just in one category you'll get up to 10 nominees... imagine putting CDQ & Cassper Nyovest in the same category for Best Hip Hop MVP? Only in scity, you'll see categories like; Listener's choice award, Viewers choice award, Digital artiste of the year award, etc So, tekno stop bragging with 3 Scity mvps cos the award is no comparism to Headies award. Though I feel for u after the impartial treatment given to you by the headies dis year, just don't try to show-off with an award of lesser value. Odeh...shut up! Wizkid and olamide were they, dnt say wat u dont knw....its bad!! |
