I don't think you are a graduate of any tertiary institution. If you are you won't be asking me this question.

Chapter 1 is always reserved for Introduction, background, scope, limitation, aim and objective etc. No university has put Literature review to Chapter 1 before.

If you write rubbish, do you expect the lecturer to accept it as presented? Is he doing you any favour? It is called mentoring. Most often, chapter one is always literature review and most students know next to nothing about this aspect of literary until they are faced with their project. I blame lecturers for this. I will only consider that laziness on the side of the lecturer if the he does not direct you on what to do each time he requests that you re-write a chapter anyway. If you have ever looked at an article you wrote some years back without anyone's input, you will understand the importance of mentoring or peer review as the case may be. They are not sadists. They also get frustrated when you write the same thing each time and expect them to accept it

I understand that some lecturers feel like gods...

For God's sake Chapter 1 is not Literature Review. Literature Review is written in Chapter 2 of any project.

@tundesto, Pls is it true that a new intake into the Federal Civl Service will only be paid basic salary for the first two years of appointment?

I just into one of the River Basin Devpt Authorities, a parastatal in the Fed. Min. of Water Resources. GL 08, III. The monthly basic is around 59k+, but I like to know if I am also entitled to allowances now or until after confirmation of appointment.

How soon can I expect my first salary arrears? I'm already on month 3 now but we haven't been 'captured' yet.

Under FCS, all allowances be it rent, transport, meal and utilities have been lumped into that Basic salary. Expect your first salary as soon as you are captured. Apply to your Head of Parastatal for your arrears. That way it will be slow cos they will forward your arrears to budget office and it can take 6months or more. If you know somebody at Accountant General, you can go directly to the guys and they will do it within a month.

Documenting officer is different from IPPIS officer. Yes it is done online. You will wait till your data is captured.

Kk4: Thanks. Its been two months now and I have not been posted. I spoke with some one in thesame ministry and he said his posting took about 4 months and the pay starts coming about 6 months. I just want to know so that I will properly plan my budget.

Some postings take more than 5 months and salary may take close to 1year depending on your Ministry. For your information, your first salary and arrears are not paid together. Salary 1st and arrears later usually with November/December salary.

Hmmmmmm

All Federal MDAs earn the same salary. However some parastatals earn additional allowance.

Wait till the ICAN release the Study Pack for Mgt Gov&Ethics but as par PSAF, you can use the existing Study Pack.

Wrote 3 papers in Intermediate having passed one before. Failed one-BCRM-which has already been rendered useless by the new syllabus. I have known that before exams that is why I concentrated on the Auditing and Assurance and I passed. Never read CQT and BCRM at all. I was surprised I passed CQT with 60% and failed BCRM 48%.
