Nigerian popstar, David Adeleke, better known as "Davido", has been hit with a fresh scandal. This time, the popular singer allegedly issued a dud cheque to an auto dealer for the purpose of paying the sum of N7.4million as a balance for a Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 he purchased.

Documents showed that the auto dealer, Mr. Anekwu Chika Valentine of Prestige Autonet Limited, has already contracted a Lagos-law firm to assist him to recover the debt.

A letter of instruction addressed to the law firm of W.K Shittu and Co., stated that the law firm will take 10 per cent of the sum owed by Davido if it is recovered.

On February 10, Davido issued two Zenith Bank (account number 100424****) cheques of N10million and N1.4million respectively.

However, the latter, which apparently was to pay a part of the N7.4million was not honored by Zenith Bank, where the auto dealer is also a customer.

Giving a dud cheque is a criminal offense punishable by a two-year jail term.

According to reports revealed to us the singing duo coughed out several millions of dollars to pick this private airbus from an undisclosed Arabian.

A judge of a the Federal High Court in Lagos, Justice Ibrahim Buba, has issued an Anton Piller order, directing the seizure of a film titled “Okafor’s Law” directed by Nollywood Producer, Omoni Oboli.

The court also issued an interim order, suspending the release and launch of the film, in any movie theatre or cinema house on March 31, pending the determination of a motion on notice before the court.

The judge ordered the seizure of all copies, materials, projections or infringing materials, relating to the subject matter.

The orders followed an ex parte application filed by a company, Rancoteur Productions Ltd, on behalf of a Canada based script writer, Jude Idada.

Idada lays claim to the film “Okafor’s Law” as his intellectual property.
The plaintiff had filed the suit through Anthony Idigbe, seeking an order, halting the premiere and release of the said “Okafor’s Law”, pending the determination of a copyright infringement suit filed against Oboli.

The court thereafter, fixed March 29 for hearing of the motion on notice. Idada had accused Oboli of copyright infringement on the “Okafor’s Law” movie, adding that she had stolen his story idea for the movie in September 2016.

He alleged that Oboli took the work he had done regarding “Okafor’s Law”, and developed it without giving him due credit.

The 'Busty Queen' of Nollywood will soon be exposing sexual escapades of some of her colleagues in her coming book. Cossy Orjiakor has been on fire, venting her anger on her Instagram handle on how some actresses had betrayed her trust in the past.

In a chat with Potpourri, the actress refused to mention real names of her characters from her IG posts but affirmed that all the gossips she had been sharing on her Instagram handle were true life stories.

“I am only after people who hurt my reputation. They have talked bad about me already. They believe I am bad, so, I am showing them how bad I can be. Other people are involved, in fact, plenty. I have revealed a bit but the rest they can read in my book,”

Popular nollywood actress Kemi Afolabi has being hospitalized after she got attacked by area boys at a movie location in Ikorodu, Lagos.

Afolabi has reportedly lost her pregnancy after the encounter with the hoodlums who also attacked the movie director Azeez Ijaduade and fractured his legs for not giving them money.

The attack on the movie practioners which happened on the afternoon of Sunday, March 13, also affected the cameraman and some of the crew members who suffered injuries.

Kemi who was expecting her second baby but lost it got admitted at a hospital on Victoria Island, Lagos after one of the hoodlums hit the actress in her stomach.

The loss of the pregnancy is said to have devastated not only the actress but also her UK-based baby daddy Wale Adesipe.

TripleMG boss, Ubi Franklin has been accused of stealing a movie script from a Nigerian Actress turned Filmmaker, known as Chinneylove Eze.

Chinney Eze took to her official social media page to call out the music mogul for allegedly ‘stealing’ the script for her movie, ‘Bruised’ and not giving her credit for it.

She narrated how she ‘allowed’ Ubi Franklin to produce her project ‘Bruised’ as the 'Executive Producer' only for the MMMG boss to allegedly claim the project as his own.


“I repeat, BRUISED is my script, copyrighted and owned by me. I only agreed to let you execute produce it, cos I was supp to be a part of it,” the filmmaker said.

“You think you are smart, you might have been in the entertainment industry before me, but I would show you that Ive been in Nollywood b4 you.”

The call out which is fast gaining on the internet is being viewed as awkward by many seeing that Ubi is mainly focuser on the musical aspect of the entertainment industry. This will also be the first time a music inclined entertainer will be called out for nollywood based project.

This time last year, Wizkid caused a stare on social media after he announced his new crib in Los Angeles, United States.

Tho the singer didn't share photos of his new home, a few of his friends and colleagues have been sharing snapshots of different parts of the house. One of the such friend, South African music star, Dj Maphorisa has shared more shots of the magnificent edifice.

Nigerian pop star, Davido is reportedly expecting his second child with his Atlanta-based lover, Amanda fondly called Mandy by close associates.

Media reports claims that Amanda, who is part, Cape Verdean and Togolese is expected to deliver her bundle of joy in April or May.

Amanda is a 24-year-old student of Georgia State University, but she is currently hanging with Davido and his big brother Adewale Adeleke in Atlanta. Even days ago they all stepped out together for a bowling game, which the DMW chief shared clips of on his social media page.

Davido’s management is yet to respond to the report, as his new manager, Asa Asika is also yet to respond to calls at press time.

This will be the singers second child, after he welcomed his daughter, Imade with Sophia Momodu in 2015.

Popular Nigerian movie star, Hanks Anuku has switched nationality as he is now fully based in Ghana and waiting patiently for his family who are based in London to join him.

Hanks has finally embraced Ghana as his adopted country, Ghana Link reports.

The actor who has relocated to Accra has now become a naturalized citizen of Ghana. The actors decision was said to have been influenced by the economic situation of Nigeria which has made life difficult for the average citizens and worse for the low class ones. The actor in a recent interview said the crisis in Nigeria forced him to leave the country and send his family to London while he hustle in Accra Ghana. He said; "I had to leave Nigeria because of all the troubles, turmoils, crisis, anarchy."

To show how serious he was about his decision, a change of name also followed as he is now addressed as, Nana Kwame Fiifi Kakra Anuku.

Bishop David Oyedepo, the man of God at Living Faith Church worldwide also known as Winners Chapel, wasn't by all the blings and swags of Nigeria music star, Dapo Oyebanji popularly known as D’banj when they came in contact.

D’banj was recently contacted to perform at a Youth Programme in Covenant University where the Bishop was also a special guest of honour.

According to eye witness account, the Bishop’s gesture took everyone by surprise when he ordered the ‘Fall in Love’ crooner to stop his performance.
