Politics / Re: Matawalle Rejects Emefiele’s 'Study Leave', Says He Must Give Account To Tinubu by tungamaje: 11:18am On May 16, 2023

Emefiele is Igbo. He must pay for the sins of President Buhari's decision to swap the Naira.
The people of the Matawalles see Igbo as enemy rivals in Nigeria. Igbo is the buffer zone for the oil producing areas in the SS. Without the buffer zone, the people of the Matawalles would easily grab the remaining oil blocks in the SS, control proceeds from crude oil and gas, pay no compensation for oil pollution in the oil producing areas; keep their environment in the arid region of Nigeria clean.
Him, I don't know what to say. But it wasn't only the Matawalles who put the blame on Emefiele. Even most Yorubas feel like seeing him shot live on national television

The conclusion, given the unique convocation of Nigerian governance, is very simple. I.e Nigerian leaders are corrupt dictators with vested interest yet it is left to their appointees with integrity to defy them, when their agenda is bad for the interest of Nigeria, or resign.

A meritoriously employed CBN governor must be an individual of unimpeachable integrity, which all CBN Governors worldwide must personify, who automatically understands the sacrosanct duty of being the incorruptible voice of our monetary policy.

No man or vested interest must compromise the integrity of our monetary policy because such is meant to be above cynical hijacking by anyone.

Most CBN Governors worldwide will therefore resign before allowing themselves be used as tool of internal sabotage against their own nation via abuse of office.

Wakefield was too much of a criminal posing as a CBN governor. He even tried to contest to be President for God sake. I am not one of those who hides. Hindi and his group cornered Emefiele for use as their tool of massive and unfair enrichment of the North punitive of the rest of Nigeria.

The fall of the value of the naira that Emefiele supervised seriously devastated the South because we host the most businesses that trade with the West and this need sensible exchange rate to operate profitable and beneficially for Nigeria be it through employment of Nigerians or payment of tax.

Conversely, the North would have been creating billionaires daily, via control of the flex trade, the worse the value of Hairs becomes.

Emefiele had no decency to resist being used for such a wicked plot , with devastating long term effects, because he was only greedily focused on the money he is amassing illegally and the enormous power he is abusing.

Those trying to blame the overlords of Emefiele do not see the big picture which is that common decency should have stopped Emefiele from being someone others can use so destructively.
If I understand what you are saying, Emefiele out of greediness allowed himself to be used by the northern oligarchs to cripple the southern economy by killing their businesses. But my question is why people avoid blaming the president over the disastrous naira redesign and swapping policy whereas both of them worked together. Why only Emefiele who received authorization from the president?
Politics / Re: Matawalle Rejects Emefiele’s 'Study Leave', Says He Must Give Account To Tinubu by tungamaje: 11:02am On May 16, 2023
omohayek:

Contrary to what the Emefiele apologists would like you to believe, he is not in fact at the beck and call of Buhari. The CBN is statutorily independent: once Buhari appointed Emefiele to a second term, he lost any real control over what Emefiele could or should do. As such, any decision by Emefiele to go along with Buhari's preferences would simply have been due to a lack of backbone on Emefiele's part, not because the law compelled him to do so.

https://businessday.ng/news/legal-business/article/what-does-the-cbns-independence-really-mean/

It is quite telling that so many can be found trying to shift blame from Emefiele onto Buhari despite all of the above. Even more telling is that every single one of them happens to share the same ethnicity as the feckless CBN governor who has single-handedly done more damage to the Nigerian economy than even the utterly useless Buhari. Worse yet, these are the very same people who make a big show of supporting the mediocre Peter Obi because they value "competence", even as they rally round a kinsman who has been the most spectacularly incompetent person to hold high office in Nigeria for the last 30 years. They are quick to accuse others of tribalism, yet exemplify it in their inability to acknowledge any flaws whatsoever in their own ranks.

However, there are three issues for which the CBN, in the discharge of its functions, is required to seek external authorization, and only from the President of Nigeria: any alterations to the legal tender (the Naira);
At the bolded, if there is any negative outcome from the naira redesign and swapping policy, why should Emefiele alone be held responsible whereas I believe he must have sought an authorization from the president before embarking on it?

Please, I need an explanation on this Emefiele saga. Is the CBN Governor accountable to the Commander in Chief of our country or not? If he is, what was our President's position on the cash swap policy that brought a lot of suffering on the citizens? I am asking this because we are making it look like Emefiele the culprit should be crucified while the boss, the president should be exonerated

Stop comparing yourself to foreign direct investors that came in with money and pay taxes. You people are refugees in peace time, because of poverty in your region, accept the fact. What about all your women doing prostitution everywhere... Igbo girls make up 75% of prostitutes in Nigeria, Igbo men make up 80% if drug peddlers in foreign jails. You people are scums and parasite to nation and society. I laugh when you people brag with criminal and dirty money.
Please find a publisher to publish this long epistle you wrote all because of your jealousy toward the Igbos. I've stayed in Abidjan. I was able to get a Nigerian ID card within 2 hours from Yoruba Oluwole guys. I once bought a bottle of fake TCP antiseptic liquid which tasted like sheep urine from a Yoruba hawker. If you talk about selling fake products, Yorubas are masters. But wait, all those on death row in Saudi prisons awaiting their blood to fertilize the Arabian desert, are they Igbos too?

Igbos are the dumbest education or sense wise. Your poor people moving up and down to survive is refugee syndrome, nothing to be proud about going to other states, sleeping on streets, shops and selling in go slow.
You lack sense. Go to Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo and so on and see Chinese and Lebanese nationals opening their shops to harvest all the little coins in those countries. Does it mean the Chinese are poor? Jealousy won't allow you to know that those Igbos which you believe are refugees and poor are making a lot of money in your place and sending them back to their region.

Unfortunately the mother out of the quest for riches acted on the instruction. Even the baba would be shocked

If an elder disrespects himself, he would be embarrassed. That is common sense. So come off this Yorubas respect elders bullshit.
