Oh yes, this helps a lot, thank you so much for always responding promptly and extensively. I have purchased 2 courses, child care and kitchen management, got the discount coupon as well and paid for the PDF certificates, thank you.

Please any chance you know about any legit online academy I could get the 1 year post high school certificate (diploma) that will be accepted by WES for evaluation?
Thanks always for your help
Happy to be of help.

Online academy most definitely won't be Nigerian and if its not Nigerian, expect to pay a lot of money. If you have cash to spare i would suggest Canadian online schools, that way you wouldnt even need an ECA anymore because ECA are for people with foreign credentials.
For cheap non canadian online schools that WES can assess that will require a little research.

Hi

Thank you for this thread, I'll love to give this a shot, but I have a question. When an employer say she willing to sponsor you, what does it mean? Is it your travel fund ? Also, the live in Long term job hunt, does it mean the employer must be will to accommodate you and your family? Thanks in advance
Firstly, to get into Canada to work as a caregiver, you have 2 options:
1. Work outside the province of Quebec:
The only way here if you are applying from outside Canada is through the home child care or home support worker immigration pilot. Requires: ielts clb 5, 1 year post secondary and a job offer. No LMIA required. Live in may not be neccessary. You can arrive Canada with your family

2. Work in the province of quebec;
The only way here is through the temporary foreign worker program for live in caregiver and it requires that your employer submits an LMIA to hire you. Requires 9 months caregiver training or 1 year paid caregiver work experience. You may not be able to arrive Canada with your family because all you will be getting is a temporary work permit that will expire in 2 years and you will need to show that you have something or someone that ties you back to your home country or convice the Visa officer that you will return back to your country at the expiration of your work permit. Though its possible to extend it or apply for permanent residence in Quebec after at least 1 year of working in Canada.
Live in may not be mandatory.

If an employer wants to sponsor or pay for your relocation costs, they will tell you or it will be spelt out in the job contract.
Live in arrangement for a caregiver arriving with family...you may have to find out from your employer what type of arrangement they have for you...cos it could be just a room in their house or a basement apartment. But its something your employer has to clarify themself.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, an idea struck me. If I'm able to implement it fully, I'll become so rich in less than 1 year that people will think I did money ritual.

May God help us to contain it.
Maybe a CPD can help

Do you know that the day your colleaques at work or the new hire/junior staff have more to say or contribute to projects in your team, it is signalling that burnout is waiting by the corner for you.
Burn out does not neccessarily mean that you hate your job or that job is not for you. It simply means that you are loosing touch with whats current in your field. You need to hone your skills, you need get relevant again and regain your public confidence.
I am still preaching Continous Professional Development (CPD). Get on your laptop or smart phone right now and do some thing about your career now...at least you wont have to study at night this season curtesy of COVID 19 lockdown.
There are so many courses to choose from, in a wide variety of industry; healthcare, IT/coding, teaching, business/management, etc

The world has been shut down by COVID 19. Many cities have been shut down, people have been forced to stay at home for weeks.
Many are even forcasting a global depression or economic downturn after all this.

Eventually, this disease is going to be contained, doesn't matter how long it takes. The question though is what happens next, when all the industries that have been shut down because of this war begins to try to start up again, when countries and companies begin to look at how to get up and running again, to recover what was lost (at least financially) to COVID 19?
Where will you and i be left?

I have read of multinationals that have sent workers on unpaid leave, or slashed salaries even some outright retrenchment. The world is definitely going to change post COVID 19, the question is by how much?

One major character of species that have been able to survive and thrive better than other related species is the ability to evolve and adapt to change.

So, we need to be thinking of ways to adapt to changes that will most definitely come post this pandemic.
How do i continue to remain competitive and relevant in my field post COVID 19. And way 1 good way i can think of now is CPD.

CPD means continous professional development. It simply means learning activities that a professional undertakes to enhance their skills and remain up to date in their chosen profession.
My advice to all at this time is this....even as we are taking precautions by staying home to avoid getting infected by this virus or to slow/stop the spread of the disease. We should engage ourselves in gainful activities like acquiring CPD.

There are a host of courses to choose from, in a diverse range of industry: IT, healthcare, safety, administration, business/entrepreneurship, accounting, food safety/food handling, photography, etc theres so much we can learn and add to what we already know that has the potential of standing us out from the competition if it eventually comes to that.

Check out this blog:

I will be updating a list of cheap and credible sources of cpd courses.

Thank u

I wrote IELTs GT for the first time in December 2019. My score: listening 9, reading 8, writing 8, speaking 7.5

I should have scored 8 in the speaking part but i had a glitch..the topic i was given to speak on had 2 options, the option i spoke on was something i personally didnt have much interest in. So it messed up my flow in the test.

I had just 1 week to prepare for the test and most of the practice material i used was from this website:
ieltadvantage.com

Theres no passing or failing of IELTs, rather theres achieving of the score you need for your purpose. I needed to write the ielts and score CLB 5 for the new Canada home support worker immigration pilot. I have a blog here that explains the process:
https://caregiverimmigration..com/?m=1

Maybe you might be interested. Its an easier way to immigrate to Canada: it has a low IELTs score, low educational qualification and no settlement funds.

All the best
FamilyRe: Things I Saw In A Coded Bar/motel, Bothering Me About Marriage! by Twinkleberyl: 4:47pm On Feb 17, 2020
How many people that have commented on this post are actually married? Marriage is hard work..for real.

First and foremost...it was ordained by God to be a partnership. Although women have been blessed to have that ability to take care of the kids and the home, its not just an african thing...its been like that for a long time. If you ask me...it produces children that become shining examples in the society.

On the other hand, let us also realise that times are changing...people want better quality of life and if the income coming in from one source (the husband) is not giving the family the type of life they want, the woman needs to start doing something too to help the man out while the man on his own part starts to learn to help his wife out too in the home.

But in all these things, 2 things will be the down fall of us young people in this generation:
1. Selfishness and pride: nobody wants to think of what it is like being in the other person's shoes whether its the hisband or the wife. The guy wants to be the one that landed the most sought after lady in the area, likewise the ladies. Such stories never end well

2. Social media: people want to live the kind of life they see people display on social media...many of which are just lies. Men want the prettiest ladies..so they pursue them with money. The ladies want the designer bags, hairs, cars and houses their friends display on social media without thinking of what it will cost them and their families.

Its just terrible. I pray God remembers the man if not for anything for the sake of the little girl that has been left at the mercy of wolves in the bar where this man lives now.
