If you’re looking for the best laptop for programming, you should keep in mind the features you’ll actually need while working. For example, the best laptops for programmers will feature the latest and best processors – you’ll need that extra juice to quickly and efficiently compile your code. Fortunately, most modern laptop processors feature plenty of threads and high clock speeds, which will make looking for the best laptop for programming as easy as saying ‘hello world’.

You’ll also need a good amount of RAM – at least 8GB. And, if you’re running complex code, you’ll need a lots of storage space too. If a laptop features one of the best SSDs, that’s even better – it’ll save you time when coding, and time is money.

Computers / Read This Before Buying Your Next Laptop - Avoid This Mistake by Two5tech: 2:36pm On Aug 22, 2018
Whether you’re looking for a new computer from an online retailer or standing in line at a brick and mortar electronics store the day after Thanksgiving, these 10 tips are exactly what you’ll need to know while sorting through the dozens (or hundreds) of available laptop PCs.

1) Windows or Mac: It doesn’t matter.
Despite what you might have heard in the latest TV commercials from Microsoft and Apple, the old argument of “Mac vs. PC” is about as pointless as “Honda vs. Toyota”; either choice will provide essentially the same functionality. The biggest difference between a PC running Windows 7 and a Mac running OS X Lion will be the user experience … and even that will be largely similar between the two.

The main reason that it doesn’t matter whether you buy a Windows 7 PC or an Apple MacBook is that the web browsers and most popular software work very similarly on both. Yes, there are differences to the user interface, but the majority of consumers looking for a new home computer won’t have a drastically different experience … particularly if all they do is browse the web or check email.

There is no denying that Apple makes some beautiful, well-built products with elegant designs, but you can find some impressive Windows PCs on store shelves as well. The only “Mac vs. PC” argument that might hold water today is that Macs are still less vulnerable to viruses or other malware (unless you go searching for free Mac software on shady websites). That said, free antivirus programs like Microsoft Security Essentials does a great job protecting your Windows PC as long as you aren’t visiting strange websites and clicking on things you shouldn’t.

Art, Graphics & Video / How To Make Money From Youtube Within 2 Months by Two5tech: 10:09am On Aug 22, 2018
There are ten steps you need to take ..
lets get started

Set up and build your YouTube channel. Your channel is your personal presence on YouTube. Each YouTube account has one channel attached to it. A YouTube account is the same as a Google account, and creating a YouTube account will grant you access to other Google products, such as Gmail and Drive.

Create your account or use your existing one. Add keywords to help people find your channel. You can add keywords by navigating to the Advanced section of your Channel Settings. Make sure that your keywords are relevant to your content.
Your user name can also work for or against you. If it’s short, easy to remember, and original, people will be more apt to remember you. However if you are using an existing account, you can always change your username by editing it on your Google+ account.

Add content. Try to upload content that is high quality, and isn’t super long. (This option can vary depending on what type of content you decide to upload) Also try to upload regularly and stay consistent with your uploads.

Even if your content isn’t great at first, keep at it. Practice makes perfect. Try to make each video better than the last. You will often learn as you go.
Improve your content by either using a better camera or trying better editing software or techniques. Also try to improve the way things are filmed. Use a tripod, have a friend help you or light your scenes better. It all helps for a better end product which in turn helps you get a better audience.
By uploading regularly you can help hold an audience. People are more likely to subscribe if you add content on regular schedule, and maintain that schedule as much as possible.
Make sure to tag your videos with key words that describe the content, as well as an eye-catching description. These will help drive people to your video from YouTube searches.

Programming / How To Create Twitter Bots - It's Very Easy by Two5tech: 10:04pm On Aug 21, 2018
I have worked on developing Chat Bots in the past few months as part of my pet projects. I have also sold multiple bots on Fiverr. I believe teaching is one of the best ways of learning and this post is my humble attempt to it. I intent to keep this tutorial updated over time.

Chat bots are growing in power with the increase in social media users and advancement in technology. They will be the app of the future and heck they probably already are. They can be useful in many aspects of the customer experience, including providing customer service, presenting product recommendations and engaging customers through targeted marketing campaigns. Although chat bots have still a long way to go in terms of AI, they’re still powerful.

This tutorial doesn’t require you to be a programmer although having a prior programming experience will definitely come in handy to understand the codes a lot better. We’ll code our Twitter Bot in JavaScript and run it in a Node JS environment. I have tried my best to be as detailed as possible and I hope you won’t have any trouble following along.

Before we start writing any code let us first set up all these requirements

Webmasters / How To Start A Blog And Make Good Cash From It by Two5tech: 8:00am On Aug 21, 2018
Here’s how to start a blog..
The goal of this post is to help you get started the right way. From years of coaching and helping people with their blogs, I’ve found that many people make mistakes when starting a blog, sometimes resulting in them abandoning the project altogether. We don’t want that to happen.

Step 1: Choose the right blogging platform (WordPress)
Before you can even start worrying about how your blog will look like, you’ll need to choose your blogging platform. WordPress, Tumblr and blogger market share

There’s a lot to choose from. You are able to create a blog with many different blogging platforms, such as WordPress, Tumblr, Blogger and more…

However, given that there are over 72 million active usersusing WordPress today, it’s clear which platform is the boss. Even my own blogs and sites are built with the WordPress blogging platform. Here’s why:

It’s FREE for everyone to use (including themes, layouts, and add-ons that many other blogging platforms don’t provide).
It’s super easy to set up.
It’s secure; WordPress is always updating their software and keeping everything sound and secure, so there’s rarely a worry of having your blog come under hacking attacks. No wonder Facebook, NASA, and even university blogs are using WordPress.
It’s HIGHLY customizable. There are hundreds of free themes and plugins that add more functionality to your blog, from contact and subscribe boxes to plugins that improve blog performance and more.
While the other blogging platforms are generally all pretty OK, nothing, in my opinion, has ever come close to matching the freedom and customization options that WordPress offers. So without a doubt, go with WordPress. Especially when you are just starting out

Why you shouldn’t create a blog on a free blogging platform

Without a doubt, you need to self-host your WordPress blog.

Think about it – what famous, successful blogger you know is using a free blogging website like “startbloggingonline.freeblogs.com” instead of their own domain name like “StartBloggingOnline.com”, for example?

It’s not just that – free blogging platforms have other problems too – including…

You don’t control your content – the blogging platform does. They could shut you down anytime, and for any reason. Don’t believe me?
The web address of your blog will be long and hard to remember (like yourfreeblog..com) instead of a catchy, branded address you choose.
You’re not allowed to advertise on most free blogging platforms, making it much harder to ever make money from blogging.
All of these limitations apply to the blogs. What you really want is to self-host a WordPress blog – it’s the same software without all the limitations!

If I were you, I’d start with a self-hosted blog on my own domain from day one. Setting up a blog like this is WAY easier and less expensive than you think.

Finding a domain name and web hosting provider
Now to the exciting part! To set up a self-hosted blog on your own domain name, you’ll need two things:

Literature / Ghosts In Corpers Lodge - Best Story So Far by Two5tech: 3:03am On Aug 21, 2018
# *Best Story on Booktree*

For a moment I could see myself smiling and amused, I was going to visit a new environment; a new state, a new local government, an entirely new settlement. All thanks to NYSC. For a young man that had spent all his years in a particular environment, you know stepping into new territories would feel like making heaven. For once one is going to stay away entirely from mom and dad, no close-marking…how nice.

In the midst of this excitement, I must confess, there was a great load of anxiety and panic. I heard the community I’d been posted to was quite a diabolic one. I just decided to accept it in good fate, like the defeat of Barcelona in the champions league.

Programming / Join Bot Programming Class Here. It's Easy And Fun by Two5tech: 12:36pm On Aug 20, 2018
It's very easy to create a bot...

How to create your own bot
In this post, I’ll walk you through steps that I’ve used to created my own bot that could understand natural language and response accordingly. The bot work with text message, slack, facebook messenger, skype, web chat etc.

The bot was built from Microsoft Bot framework , using microsoft cognitive services to understand the conversations (There are many other cool API from cognitive services too such as Computer Vision, Face API, Speech recognition, translation, recommendation, etc.). For now, I’m just using Language Understanding Intelligent Service to handle users input.

I’m using NodeJS to stand up a quick service for my bot and deploy that to Heroku.

So let’s start building our first bot!

Programming / Digital Marketing Made Simple: A Step-by-step Guide by Two5tech: 8:24am On Aug 14, 2018
Digital marketing. Just another one of those new, fancy buzzwords you should use to sound smart in meetings or is it the real deal?

Maybe a better question is: What is it?

This digital marketing guide will show you what’s what.

First popularized as a term in the early 2000’s, digital marketing has actually been around much longer.

Like, WAY longer. About 100 years longer, to be exact.

His name: Guglielmo Marconi.

What? Marconi?

Yup. In 1896 he was the first human to demonstrate a, “public transmission of wireless signals.”

This dude invented the radio.

Shortly after his little demonstration in England, morse signals were transmitted across open water.

And, while it would take another 10 years for the radio to reach the general public, it sure didn’t take the creators long to realize they could use it to sell stuff.

The first live broadcast was from an opera performance at the Met and guess what people did after it?

They bought show tickets!

Digital marketing strategy was born.

I bet you’re surprised. I didn’t mention smartphones, apps, Facebook ads or blogs at all.

That’s because digital marketing has nothing to do with the internet.

Definition
As usual, Wikipedia does a crappy job at explaining: Digital marketing is an umbrella term for the targeted, measurable and interactive marketing of products or services using…

Ugh!

I want an easy definition that I can remember! Here’s one: Digital marketing is any form of marketing products or services that involves electronic devices.

That’s the reason it has been around for decades (because electronics have) and why it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with content marketing, Google ads, social media or retargeting.

Digital marketing can be done both online and offline.

And, both kinds matter for a well-rounded digital marketing strategy.

Why digital marketing matters
Remember billboards?

I do.

As a young kid in California, my experiences from the back seat of our car mostly alternated between: “Mom, when are we there?” and “Uh, look, McDonalds, can we go?”, whenever one of those 10 foot billboards popped up on the side of the road.

Growing up with Indian parents, the answer to both of those would, most times, be the same: “Not yet.”

Sometimes, big brands would even start a billboard war, like this one between Audi and BMW, which got quite a few laughs:

Phones / The First 5G Phone - 8 Times Faster Than 4g by Two5tech: 8:23am On Aug 09, 2018
The race to 5G is on with every carrier promising big rollouts of next-generation networks in the coming year, but what about the phones? The first wave of consumer 5G devices are likely to be Wi-Fi hotspots, but Motorola thinks it has a way to offer the world's first 5G phone with the recently announced 5G Moto Mod. It's a strange device that will require certain compromises, but it's still probably better than the way we transitioned to 4G. Remember the Thunderbolt? Yeah, that's a low bar, but still.

A trio of modems
Motorola's latest smartphone will launch soon on Verizon, but the Z3 will be a very ordinary phone until next year when the 5G Moto Mod launches. When you snap that slab of high-speed network technology onto the back of your device, you'll go from just one to three modems. The way these modems interact is rather odd, based on my discussions with Motorola engineers.

Inside the Moto Z3, you'll have the Qualcomm X16 LTE modem that's part of the Snapdragon 835 package. The Mod contains an improved X24 LTE modem and the new X50 5G modem. You need all these modems because of limitations in Verizon's upcoming 5G network and Moto's Mod platform.

When the Mod is connected, your Moto Z3 will only get data from the Mod's modems. Thus, the internal X16 can go to sleep. Ideally, the 5G modem will connect to Verizon's network and deliver as much as 5Gbps of bandwidth (theoretically). The network can tell your Mod if the connection is too weak, allowing it to switch over to the X24 LTE modem. However, that means the second Mod modem needs to remain active at all times so it can be ready to jump in and take over. This is a Cat 20 modem, which Verizon says can deliver up to 2Gbps of bandwidth. Again, that's theoretical.

The internal LTE modem still has a job to do—it handles all your voice calls. VoLTE on Verizon needs to go through the modem in the SoC, and even if there was a workaround for that, Motorola says there's too much voice latency when decoding audio in the Mod and then passing it into the phone. So, there could be instances when you have all three modems active simultaneously for quite a while. Hello, battery drain.

A quartet of antennas
Verizon's initial 5G rollout will be in the millimeter wave spectrum, specifically around 28GHz for most of Verizon's network. By comparison, most current LTE bands are 2.5GHz or under, and the sub-1GHz frequencies are the most coveted because they transmit over longer distances and can pass through obstacles. Millimeter wave bands don't go as far, and something as insignificant as your hand can block them, but you can cram a lot more data in those waves.

In Motorola's testing facility (which I was not allowed to photograph), engineers demonstrated with a prototype 5G tower antenna and Mod how fast the data transfer over 5G could be. One of the engineers also demonstrated how easy it would be to interrupt the signal by waving a hand between the phone Mod and antenna—the signal dropped dramatically the instant his hand passed in front of the Mod.

I have yet to get a satisfactory answer as to how well Verizon's 5G will work indoors, but the actual 5G towers will support technologies like beam steering to at least limit your hand's interference. On the phone side, the 5G Mod will have four separate antenna modules inside to help maintain a connection. There will be two near the top (including one that peeks over the top of the phone in an antenna hump) and one each on the left and right sides.

The antennas inside the Mod are apparently a smushed version of the one Qualcomm recently announced with much fanfare. You can see the previously announced model above. On the underside (which I was also not allowed to photograph) are four small dots that are actually individual steerable antennas.

And a battery
The one thing that may make the 5G Mod viable is that it will come with a built-in 2,000mAh battery. Owners of the HTC Thunderbolt are probably still traumatized by the abhorrent battery life caused by that first-gen LTE modem. Early 5G devices probably won't be much better, but the Mod will bring its own power to the party. It's necessary but also makes the Mod clunky. I was only able to try a non-functional prototype, but it made the phone uncomfortably thick and heavy.

Motorola didn't have details on how long the Mod would run on internal power, but you won't lose 5G connectivity when the battery runs dry. The phone's 3,000mAh battery will supply power to the Mod to keep its radios alive, which will no doubt affect your battery life. You can, however, remove the 5G Mod if you want to go back to LTE and save your battery. The Mod has a USB Type-C port of its own for recharging, so it doesn't need to be attached to the phone when you plug it in at night.

Importantly, the 5G Mod is not a battery pack to charge your phone. Power only flows from the phone to the Mod, and never the other way around.

The very exclusive 5G upgrade
When the 5G Mod launches next year, it will only support the Moto Z3. The Mod connector is identical on this phone to all the other Moto Z phones so far, but software support will only be live on the Z3. The 5G Mod has its own internal (non-removable) SIM card, so nothing is stopping it from working with other Moto Z devices. This is merely a business decision from Moto and Verizon. Even Verizon's Moto Z2 Force will be left out.
