The relative of monkey
Jumping helter skelter
Landed in a wretched man's house
Turning around his misfortune into blessing
A rare set of children that commands undue honor and respect from their parents
To your stepmother, you are an unwelcome sight
But to your mother, you are both emperor's of two empires.

Power as healer; the power of healing is manifested when the"ibeji" emblem is washed in water and with certain plants which grow in water. A mixture of shea butter, water leaves, palm oil and juice of snails are made. The juice of the leaves is squeezed into the mixture and the leaves are used as sponges in washing the emblem. This water in which the ibeji has been washed would be poured in the bath and anyone who bathes there would be cured of their illness

Kehinde is supposed to be matured, intelligent, more wiser and displinced while Taiwo is believed to be vibrant, kind, sociable and indifferent.
The Orisha ibeji and, by association, the twins were attributed powers of fertility, prosperity, avenger, detector of thieves and rainmaker.
Power of fertility; although the cult of the twins is a kinship one, nevertheless, because of the power associated with it, because of the power associated with it.

The first born of the twin is known as Taiwo (tà-yé-wo)"go and have a taste of life" while the second one is called Kehinde (kéhin-dé).
In Yorúbá culture the second twin is considered the elder twin, the reason for this is that Taiwo is sent by Kehinde to judge if the world is fit and beautiful before he/she descends in accordance with Yorùbá beliefs.

And the parent take care of the Ere Ibeji figure as if,it were a real person. The Ere Ibeji is ritually washed, fed, clothed and carried in a cloth wrapper. Clothing made from cowrie shells,as well as beads, coins and paint.
Ere Ibeji figures are carved to represent an ideal type within the Yorùbá criteria of beauty and in the prime of life- neither a child not an old person.

The parent will seek consultantion with an Ifá diviner a Babalawo. If the Babalawo ascertains a spiritual cause,he will help the parent find a carver to create an Ere Ibeji figure to represent the deceased twin.

Ere Ibeji literally means Ere-scared image, Ibi-born, Eji-two. In Yorúbá culture and spirituality, twins are believed to be magical, and are granted protection by the Orisha Shango. If one twin should die,it represents bad fortune for the parents and the society to which they belong.

Owning to this, Olofin began instructing his followers to begin setting up a permanent settlement, but after 289 days(17*17) the plate began moving again. And when it did, only few followers joined the Olofin to follow the plate. The rest of the group decided to stay behind. They had only journeyed for two days when the plate stopped briefly at Iddo in Lagos.
It was at Idumota in central Lagos the mud plate sank into the bottom. After whirling on the water, when Olofin returned to his group at Iddo, they are said to asked him where the plate was. He answered "Awo ti ri" meaning the "plate has sunk" this is how the name Awori is said to have come into being.

Ifa instructed Olofin to sacrifice a black ram and ended up sacrifice a white ram which later turned to black.
He then used it to sacrifice before placing the sacred plate on the river, which he sailed after ifa directed Olofin, they should settle where the plate would finally sink. Several days after leaving Ile-Ife the plate suddenly stopped at Olokemeji near present-day Abeokuta.

Olofin is one of Oduduwa's son. Olofin had some family problems which made him to consult ifa,who advised him to vacate Ile-Ife to a distant land.
The oracle instructed Olofin to dig a portion in his father's house where he would found a mud plate and a beaded crown.
As instructed by the oracle, Olofin dug and found the items as predicted by the Ifa.

Religion / Do You Believe In Life After Death As A Christian? by Tyewolove(f): 2:30pm On Feb 05, 2021
I believe in after Death because of quotes of christ such as Mathew 10:28,mark 9:47, because of the resurrection of christ.
It wouldn't make any sense if there's no life after Death because of injustice of life,it would be difficult to believe that life is good,if we knew there was nothing beyond the grave to compensate for problems of inequality and fairness.
While some people seem destined for happiness, others are born into terrible relationship and circumstances. Many would have reasons to cursed the day, they were born for the way life has treated them ( job 3:13).
I could agree with King solomon who was at a low point in his life said "I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking places under the sun. I saw tears of the oppressed and they have no comforter; and power by the side of their oppressors and I declared that the dead who had already died are happier than the living who are still alive. Both he is,who has not yet seen any evil that is done under the sun".

Fellow Christian,I need your opinion on this.
