My Experience with a High Level Girl

On Sunday, in the morning while I was coming from a football field heading home, so I decided to rizz a girl before I got home. While walking I looked at some girls but due to either their levels or classiness made me took my eyes off them. Then I noticed this girl coming my way and I opted to stay, but unlucky for me she met someone she knew before she got to where I was. I did not relent with the believe that when she's done with the guy she was going to pass beside me. While waiting another lady caught my attention. She was coming towards my direction. when she got to where I was standing, I broke the ice by saying, "Good morning." This is how our conversation goes.

Me: Good morning.
Pelumi: Good morning.
Me : I saw you from over there and I found you really beautiful, I would really be, I would be mad at my self if I didn't come talk to you.
Would you mind if we be friends?
Pelumi: Huh?
Me: Would you mind if we become friends?
Pelumi: Huh?
Me: I don't know if you would mind if we become friends.
Pelumi: What do you want?
Me: I just want us to be friends basically.
What's your name?
Pelumi : aghdghj.
Me: what did you say?
Pelumi: ayudwvmo.
ME: I did not hear that.
Pelumi: Pelumi.
Me: You are even a Yoruba girl.
Can I just get your number may be can continue our conversation.
Pelumi: 070
Me: Wait.
*She continued walking while I try to unlock my phone (You know how Itel does with it hanging issue.).
Pelumi: Call your number.
Me : 0917658990
Would you message me?
Pelumi: Yes.

Honestly, after I left her, I felt unintelligent with the way I said, "Would you mind if we become friends?" thinking it was wrong till I got home and checked online before I realized it was actually correct. Except for the become that will change to became, and if I was to use "be" it will change to were which is the past tense. She was not even helping matter with the attitude she was giving. I had not taken up to 50 steps when I saw this short, dark skinned girl. She is bless with huge boobs and buttock. I greeted her and she responded back. I asked her if she could give me a minute, to which she replied in the negative. I let her go and continue my walk home.

How It Went Down Between Amaka and I

This beautiful evening, while I was heading home from work, I saw this pretty, dark-skinned, chubby lady. She's around 5 feets tall. She was just coming out of her street when I noticed her. She wore this native adire gown with her ears being pierced thrice on each side.

We were both walking in the same direction, but I was on the other side of the road. I crossed to meet her and said, "Good evening!" I then walked past her a little bit, because I noticed she was older than me. I stopped and waited for her to move closer before I asked her "Where did you get that?" she was just starring at me and wondering what I was talking about. I had to ask her the same question again before she replied with, "What?" I said, "Your beauty. I mean, you look stunning." She moved her eyes away from me trying to concentrate on her walk. I continued by asking her name twice before she said it is, "Amaka." I said, "Can I get your number? may be can talk." she replied with, " I don't have a phone. (Someone who was holding her phone together with her power bank.)" I just said, " Alright." That was how I left her and went on with my walk.

My Experience with Having My hair Shaped the Third time This Year

I went to a barber's shop on Monday to have my hair shaped as usual. When I got there, I entered and was welcomed by the chilled AC. The shop was well designed with a perfect tiles fixed on the floor. I don't know may be because it is new, seeing that it has all the necessary tools and quiet as well. I saw a lady lieing on the sofa. It's a unisex salon, so I think she works there as well. She seemed cool. I said "I want to shape my hair." She stood up immediately, and was about to step out of the shop when I said "Should I? (I wanted to say should I stay outside. ) So I won't be left alone inside, but I was cut short by her saying if she can use my phone to call the barber. I said "Yes," and gave her my phone. The barber came in while she was trying to call him, and she handed my phone back to me.

The barber Welcomed me, and I asked how much they charge for shaping of hair. He said it is 1,000 Naira. Due to the way the shop was set, I was thinking he was going to say either 1,500 or 2,000 Naira. Even though I knew that I was not going to pay that amount. I will just walk out and look for another barber's shop. So when he said it is 1,000 Naira, I said "Okay." Because that was my actual budget. When he was about to start, I told him I want to trim and shape my hair. He did not respond, but I knew he heard me. He did well with the shaping and trimming.

When he was done, I asked for his bank name and told him to call his account number. I said "Can you snap me?" He brought out his phone and said "He has received the money." It was not even up to a minute that I asked for his account number. I just laughed, and told him that I was just asking him to take my snap. If I had it mind that I was going to do a fake transfer. I would have just stood up and left. I gave him my phone, and he took my picture. While I was trying to do the transfer, I asked for his account number and I also call out his name for confirmation. I told him I had transferred it and he said "Okay." I stood up and left the shop.

My Experience Getting a New Polo

A day after I received my salary, based on the plan I have in changing my wardrobe, I decided to get a new top. I have two favorites boutique I usually patronize. When I got to the first vendor, we exchanged greetings. I told her I want an extra large polo, black to be precise. She said she doesn't have, and started showing me round neck top of different colors. I let her know I wasn't interested in what she was showing me, and asked her if she could get me a white trousers. She said white trousers is hard to get, that she has arch color trousers. I told her no. White color trousers is what I want. Since I couldn't get anything I want from her. I just left her place and went straight to the second boutique I like to patronize.

On getting to the second boutique, I found out that she had not opened yet. At that moment I was just weakened and tired. I left there and headed home. My plan was to check out other boutique tomorrow since I'll be free, but as I was about to get to the bus stop of my street, I saw this boutique and chose to check it out. As I entered, I told them I want a black extra large top, either round neck or polo. He started showing me different designs of black top. I finally settled for one and asked for the price. He said it is 15,000 Naira. I asked if I could pay 9,000, then 12,000 but he rejected the two prices. I asked if he was expecting me to pay the exact 15,000 Naira he was asking for. He said it's the price. I know I won't be paying 15,000 for it, so I left his place and went home.

When I got home, I slept for few hours and woke up. I asked one of my siblings if she has opened, to which they reply in the affirmative. As at the time that I got there, she was sleeping. I greeted her and she woke up and greeted me back. I asked if I could get a polo or round neck top. She showed me the ones she has, and one polo actually caught my eyes, I asked for the price and she said it is 22,000 Naira. I asked if I could give her 15,000. She said I should pay 19,000 Naira. I let her know the last price I'm willing to pay is 17,000 Naira. I turned back leaving her shop she called me back. Explaining if I pay 17,000 Naira, that she won't be making any profit. I said I will add 500 Naira to make it 17,500 Naira. She said it's fine. I transferred the money to her account, she handed me the clothe, and I left.

How I Terminated My Resignation Letter in the Last Minute

Last year, due to pressure from home, getting an apartment close to Unilag, and also the plan on learning how to skate in a professional training center. I decided to get a new job with accommodation at Ojuelegba/Yaba axis. I contacted a recruitment agency. I got her number from a stranger I met at my former place of work.
I let her know that I want a Kitchen Assistant job at Ojuelegba /Yaba area with accommodation. She connected me with one at Ojuelegba with a salary of 30,000 Naira. I told her the salary is low. She responded back that feeding is not an issue, that I should not despise the days of little beginning. I insisted that I still don't want the job. That was when she said I should wait for her to contact some of her colleagues that she would get back to me. To cut it short, she wasn't able to get a replacement all in the name of if I want a better job, I will need to exercise patience. At that point I knew she was not someone I can count on.

I realized I needed a backup plan when the first recruitment agency told me this kind of thing are not done in a hurry. I expected the second recruitment agency to be able to get me a job in my preferred location. He told me that currently he doesn't have a Kitchen Assistant job at Ojuelegba /Yaba area, but there is one available at Ikorodu. I told him even if he's not going to be able to get me a job at Ojuelegba area, at least he should get me a job in the town. Sadly, that did not come through. Knowing fully well that I don't have up to a week in my current job, I have to accept the one at Ikorodu. The salary is 50,000 with accommodation which is manageable. To be honest, I felt relieved for once.

I was to resume work on Monday, 3rd of February. The night before Monday I put my MTN line in my small phone, because that would be my browsing Sim when I get to Ikorodu. An hour later, I saw a credit alert of 80,000 Naira. I checked where the money was from, and discovered it was my salary. We were informed that our salary would be increased, but no one knew how much the increment would be. I was just shocked and started to compare the difference between 50,000 Naira and 80,000 Naira.

I messaged the HR of where I'm currently working and asked her if I could terminate my resignation, to which she replied in the affirmative and inquire if I am staying. I replied "Yes, I am." That was when she said "Okay." I then express my gratitude by saying "Thanks a lot. The following day, I got a message from Valley ( the second recruitment agency) asking if I go for the job. I told him something came up up unexpectedly that need my presence, that I will contact him when I'm ready again. To be honest, I feel bad for not going for the job, because I know how disappointed Valley is going to feel.

In all honesty, apart from the salary nothing else interest me in this job. Although, I'm happy that I was allowed to stay. In life, never say say never.

How my Day Went Briefly

Nothing much really happen today.

• There's this Manchester United jersey I bought last year, and I decided to wear it today. To be honest, it looks good on me. I'm not even going to lie. No compliment from anyone because I did not go out, apart from going to mosque and salon to have my shaped. As a Manchester United fan, I'm happy to wear the club jersey, but the funny thing happen when I checked premier league result for today, and I found out that We lost against Crystal Palace. I just burst out of laughter, knowing fully well people would have been looking at me as someone who support losing team. It's all good though, that doesn't remove the fact that the clothes looks good on me.

• I shaped my hair at the salon today, unlike the previous one that I trim and shape. I said something the last time time I trimmed my hair on how the barber did not trim my hair properly. That I wouldn't be going to his salon any longer, but the barber I have as my back up plan moved away from his shop. It's not only him though, the three other shops that were with him also moved as well. It seems like they wanted to renovate the place, and that left me with no other choice than the one I decided not to go back to. Anyway, I would say his service was a bit better, except for the fact that I still have to pay 1,000 Naira just to shape my hair. I'm looking out for replacement though, I am not relying only on one barber, incase of emergency.
I would say that is all that happened today.

My Early Morning Rizz with Ayomide

I was heading home from work. Everywhere was still dark. It was early in the morning around six AM. Just few vehicles moving, and not so many people on the road. The road is as quiet as the graveyard. I was walking on the right side of the road, when I noticed this tall, slim and dark-skinned beautiful girl. Walking on the left side of the road, but in opposite direction. I was thinking should if I give it a try or not? Considering the fact that it is still very early, and it might be awkward. I just summoned courage and said to myself "Let's do it." She already noticed I was staring at her, and she kept looking back when I crossed to her side and started following her. When I got to her, I greeted her "Good morning," and she replied back with good morning as well. She seemed friendly with her smiling face as she responded to my greeting. Our conversation went this way.

Me: Good morning.
Ayomide: Good morning.
Me: I know it's kind of early, but I think this is the only chance that I have. I think you're kind of beautiful.

She smiled a little.

Me: What's your name?
Ayomide: Ayomide
Me: I'm Adebayo, I think we are kind of like a match. Can I just put my number on your phone, because I'm not with my phone now.
Ayomide : My phone is at the bottom of my bag.
Me: How are we going to connect?

She kept mute and staring at me.

Me: Just give me this chance. Please.

She brought out her phone in her bag.

Ayomide: Oya. (Which means I can start calling my number.)

Me: 0901 234 1234. Call it.

She dialed the number
Me: Is it ringing?

Ayomide: it's ringing.
Me: Okay.

That was we ended our conversation and left each other.

When I got home, I went straight to my phone and checked if there was any missed call on it. Sadly there was no single missed call on it. I just felt disappointed that moment, and realized I was never going to see this girl. I saw her dialed the number, but I was not sure if it rings or not. On a second thought, may be I gave out a wrong number. I'm not really expecting much after this.

My Wife to Be Specifications

Dear future wife, This is how I would want you to be like.
I know in life anything can happen, nonetheless I'm still hoping for the best. Let me dive into it.

Height: Dear future wife, I want you to be tall in height. The least I'm expecting from you is five feet tall, nothing less.

Complexion: Dear future wife, as someone who is dark in complexion, being fair would be a great mixed. Just so you know, I don't tolerate bleaching of skin. It's better I get married to a dark-skinned damsel, instead of a bleaching girl. So my preferable kind of girl when it comes to skin color is fair, or let me say light-skinned.

Background: Dear future wife, it's either your native language is Yoruba language, or you can speak it fluently. I'm not accepting anything other than that.

Religion: Dear future wife, you should be a Muslimah, even better than I am. I can't compromise when it comes to this.

Dressing: Dear future wife, first and foremost, I wouldn't want to get married to someone who loves wearing skin-tights clothes. You have to cover yourself from hair to toe, except your face and your hands.

Education level: I don't care about this, as long as you understand and can communicate in English, that's all I ask for. Anything below this is unacceptable.

Personality: Dear future wife, I would really be glad if you can be an introvert, although extrovert is accepted.

Body Type: Dear future wife, average sized is my preferable body type. If I'm to choose between the two, I'm choosing slim definitely.

Just like I said earlier, this is life, and in life anything happens.

My Highlight of Sunday Evening

I left home some minutes to six PM, while I was heading to work. I was out of my street now walking on the road side, and noticed this girl that I talked to some weeks back.
.

Comfort

I saw comfort walking with her friend, I thought she was out to get something. Comfort is a tall, light-skinned and slim girl. I walked towards her and called her.

Me: Comfort.
*Comfort still walking, but trying to look at who is calling her. *
Me: Do you still remember me?
Comfort: Kind of.
Me: I was the one that talked to you at the road the other day. You said you were going to give me your number, is it the time?
Comfort: Now my phone is spoilt.
Me: We're friends now.
Comfort: Sure.
Me: Comfort, right?
Comfort:Yeah.

Oyindamola

That was how our conversation ended, and I continued with my walk when I saw Oyindamola walking towards me.

Me: Good evening.
Oyindamola: Good evening. What's up?
Me: I'm good. Let me put my number in your phone.
Oyindamola: I'm not with my phone.
Me: I'm not with my phone too.
Oyindamola:May be next time, when we see. Where are you going?
Me: I'm going to work.

Pelumi

That was how we departed, and I continued walking till I get to work. After doing all the necessary things, like signing in and all that. I called this girl name Pelumi, telling her that I want to tell her something. She said she was coming. She came back but not to me. She was trying to finish her remaining work before she close. I had to remind her, and she said "What's that?"

Me: You look very beautiful.

• She smiled and left.*

Me: I still want to tell you something.

• She came back to where I was staying.

Me: Are you in a relationship?
Pelumi:Yes.
Me: Is the person here?
Pelumi: No.
Me: The thing is you look like my spec.
Pelumi: Thank you.

Temi

She left. Work started and I was busy. At a time I was sitting alone in the company's compound, when this girl came out as well to use the rest room. After she was done, I called her telling her that I want to see her. She came saying "What is that?"

Me: I told someone you are the most beautiful girl, and the person said it's a lie.

Temi: Even me I don't believe it.
Me: I think you're beautiful.
Temi: I don't believe it.
Me: have you heard the saying that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder."

• She smiled a little bit. *

Temi: Thank you.

That was it, and it was fun for me.

Getting a Weird Reaction from a Pretty Girl

I was at the bank today. After I was done with the transaction I was at the bank for, I decided to leave. On stepping out of the bank, I headed to the bus-stop where I would get a bus home. I saw this lady standing on the road side, wearing a green mini gown, with her hair braided at the back. She's slim, fair skinned, and not very tall. Around four feets seven inches. She caught my attention with her beautiful look.

After passing her, I had to make a turn back to where she was. By this time she had started walking and stopped at a snacks shop. When I got to where she was standing, I greeted her by saying "Good afternoon." she responded back. I continued by saying "Rephrase this in a grammatical standard way

bus home, I saw this lady standing on the road side, wearing a green mini gown, with her hair plaited to the back. She's slim, fair, and not too tall. Let's say 4 feets seven inches. She caught my attention with her beautiful look.I just walked past you, and I think you look beautiful." while I was saying this she was trying to make an order for the snacks she wanted. I knew she didn't hear what I said so I repeated my self by saying, " I said 'I just walked past you, and I think you look beautiful.'" she responded by just shaking her head sideways, and at the same time, saying "mmm-mmm!" I asked her "Why?" but she did not say anything. I just said "Have a nice day." she replied back "And you too" and I left.

This is how I felt about her reaction. I'm well dressed to my best of knowledge, I just thought may be I'm kind of younger than her, not up to her standard, or she has a boyfriend. My approach was pretty good, so I'm sure it is not the way I approached her. I wish myself good luck on my next try.

My Encounter with Adeola

I never thought such a rejection from a girl could ever be done to me in such a ridiculous manner. I was just trying to get know her, but I think she wasn't having it at all, even after giving it a second trial.

I was heading home from work on Saturday evening, when I saw this girl walking towards me putting on a hat, a palazzo trousers, with an extra-large polo. She had this AirPod in her ear. I was thinking of whether or not I should talk to her, but I wasn't able to make a decision till she passed me. I continued with my walk, when I got home I picked my phones and left for mosque .

On my way to the mosque, I saw this girl right beside me, walking in the same direction as mine, but she's a little bit faster than me. I tried talking to her, but making it seems like I'm not actually talking to her, for people that might be looking at us.I said hi and excuse me for like 10 times before she looked at me and trying to pause whatever she was listening to. I can't remember her response right now, I said "Can I know you more, may be we can be friends," at first she said she can't hear what I was saying. I repeated the same thing, but she did not reply and kept on moving. I was just confused when I got to the street where the mosque I was going to is. I left her and make a turn into the street.

After walking a few step into the street, I just made a turn back to make a second try. I walked up to her the second time. I said "Can I talk to you for a second?" she said she's on call. I said "Should I wait till you end the call or what?" she did not say anything. I said "Can I at least know your name?" she said "Adeola, " and I left her and take it as a loss.

I'm still finding it hard to understand why all I've been doing in the last 48-hours is sleeping and nothing more. I was at work yesterday, but we were told not to produce any bread. That gave me more than enough time to sleep. Let me enjoy this while it last, because it doesn't always happen.

Update on What Is Going on between Jessica And I

It has started again; what happened last year is about to repeat itself again this year.

I met Jessica earlier this month. I messaged her a day after we met which she did not respond to. I have to message her the following day, before I could get a response from her. We chatted a bit that night, and then she said something nice about me. I replied by saying "Thank you ma, I'll take that as a compliment." Expecting her to reply back to the message, but she never did. I later sent "Good night, talk to you tomorrow." and slept off that night.

The following morning, I didn't get any text from her until 10 Am. She said she couldn't reply me because she was busy studying. I let her know that it was better that she was telling me. After that I asked her How her day has been, and I didn't get a response that day. The next day I messaged her again, still no response. The funny thing was I usually get this double tick after I sent each message. Which usually makes me confused as to why she's not replying. Two days after that I texted, "Hey! How're you doing?" To be honest I wasn't expecting an instant reply. So I decided to sleep. I woke up the next morning seeing a message from her saying she was sorry. This time around, her excuse was that she has not been active.

I told her that I understand, and asked how long it will take for her to be active. Her response was "I'm fully back. I lost a loved one. It hurts and has thrown me down a tunnel of darkness." I asked who the person was, and also how her sleep was. No response till this moment. I ain't going to stress it. If I didn't get a response as soon as possible, I will delete her number and act like she never exist.

How my Peaceful Sleep Was Interrupted.

I was about to fulfill my 8-hour-sleep, when I was cut short by this unwanted call that came from one of my recruitment agents. Her company name is Elsy which is what I call her.

My sibling woke me up, telling me that I have a call. The number is not saved, so I don't know who the person was at first. I answered and said "Hello." Apparently it's Elsy calling me, talking about how she's found a new place for me at Victoria Island, and the salary is 50,000 Naira. In my mind I was really angry. Like "Is this why you called me so early in the morning." I asked her what happened to Ojuelegba that I told her about, and she said "Since you don't want to do a 30,000 Naira job, and you want to work in Ojuelegba because it's closer to your place. " At that point I just said "Okay." She said I should call the person and resume today, before she hung up.

This is how I feel about the whole thing. First, I hired you not because I'm unemployed or not well-paid, but because I needed a specific place with accommodation. I told her this from the onset. I don't think she understands English, because I've lost count on how many times I told her the place and the kind of job looking for. I don't know why she's still calling me that she's got a job for me on the Island. If that's where I want, wouldn't I have told her? We'll I'm going to call the number she gave to me, and listen to whatever the person has to say. I'm sure I'm still not going.

How I've Spent my Tuesday Night.

I started to sleep around 4 PM, and I woke up at exactly 6:21 PM. I was feeling better now, compared to when I haven't slept. I'm still feeling kind of weak due to the sleep, so I just stood up and left the room to pee. I came in back, and I started to think of what I'm going to do in the evening. I decided I was going to watch movie, at the same time update my diary, I was conteplating on whether to eat before watching movie, or eat while watching. I didn't make any decision, and left it hanging. After that, I also planned on learning more about verb, then watch a little bit of TikTok before I sleep. Which is the only thing I haven't done while typing this.

This is how it all goes down, I started watching movie at the same time updating my diary. I wanted to eat as well, but my stomach is kind of full. I just decided that after watching movie I'll have my dinner. I watched movie for like an hour before I stopped, then went ahead to eat dinner. After eating. I was feeling heat inside of me, so I just decided to stay in the compound, and receive some fresh air. When I got to the compound, I took a bottle of water plus a snacks with me to feed on. I ate the snacks before drinking water. After that I began to study more about verb, and that took me another hour. After I was done studying, I just decided to write down how my night went, before I go to bed.

The Uncertainty about My Job Status in The Nearest Future.

I don't know if this is the right decision to make at this point, but anyway, I tendered the resignation letter. In two weeks time, I will no longer be a staff in where I'm working currently.

That's not the issue, what's really bothering is the fact that the only job I got is the 30,000 Naira Kitchen Assistant job. Well I'm trying to get some other recruitment agent, but that hasn't been giving me any positive result. I'm just kind of stuck between getting a low paid job or just be an unemployed dude. Only days will tell.

How my Job Hunting Has Been So Far

My plan for the year concerning job aspect is to get a new job at Surulere/Ojuelegba axis. I know it'd be kind of difficult. Considering the fact that I don't know anyone there, and as well not familiar with the area.

I contacted this work agent. I told her the kind of job I'm looking for, and the location I'd want it to be. She gave me the assurance that she can get it for me. I registered under her; she connected me to this 30k job, in my preferred location. I won't even lie, the salary is too low. Although I've contacted them, and let them know I'd be starting next month.

But right now, I'm looking for an alternative. Because, why would someone like me be earning 30k as salary, in this current economy. Well I'm talking to this new agent, whom someone gave me his number. At the moment, I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

My First Rizz of The Year with Jessica

This year shouldn't end without me getting into a serious relationship, for real! My last relationship was 2021. That's close to 4 years now, and I've stayed single ever since then. I tried one or two out, but all ended in talking stage. Some didn't get to that stage before everything went south. This year I'm going to put all my possible best in getting into one.

When it comes to walking up to a girl and getting their attention, out of 100 percent, I can guarantee a success of 87 percent. One the other hand, I usually find it hard to turn it into an actual relationship.

As we started this year, I have it in mind that, out of the first three girls that I try to get to know. One of them should be the one. Luckily for me, if I can use the word now. The first girl seems to have the vibe. And that's like a sign that she might be the one.

On this fateful Friday morning, I went out to get a food for myself. On my way going, I saw this brown skinned, slim girl, with an average height. She's also well dressed, with her natural dark hair being packed at the end. I was walking on the left side of the road, while she was at the other side. I was thinking about talking to her, but later decided to let it go. After getting the food, on my coming back. I saw this same girl walking towards me, now in the same side of the road. I said to myself that "No, I have to talk to this girl this time around." As we were about to cross each other's path, I just said "Good morning," and this is how the rest of the conversation went.

Me: Good Morning.
Jessica: Good morning.
Me: Can I talk to you for a second?

*Jessica paused for a moment, then began to walk slowly.*

Me: What's your name?
Jessica: I'm Jessica.

Me: Do you stay around here?
Jessica: Yes, I came to give my brother something.
Me: I'd like to be your friend, like get to know you.

*Jessica nodded in affirmation.*

Me: Can I get your number?
Jessica: Is it my WhatsApp number?
Me: Yeah, sure.

*Jessica called out her number.*

*I called out the number again for confirmation.*

Me: What's your name?
Jessica: Jessica!
*Trying to leave.*
Me: if I may ask, how old are you ?
Jessica: I'm 19
Me: Are you in a relationship?

*Jessica laughing, at the same time trying to avoid the question.*

Me: Say something.
Jessica: No. (which means she's not in a relationship.)

I won't even lie, the girl actually made my morning. I hope she's actually the answer of what I'm looking for. I'd be texting her tomorrow.

My Fun Game with AI

I just did something really great this evening. Which I think it'd be good to share it with you my diary. I just played a question and answer game with AI, and I never thought I'd get the answer right, but I eventually did. Which is making me feel happy at the moment. Picture is attached below.

How I Survived Been Sacked at Work

On Friday, I was with my friend at work chatting. We were standing beside this machine called chiller; the chiller is connected to a pipe which takes water to the bakery. Apart from the one connected to the bakery, there's also another pipe at the base of the chiller which water can be taken out from. The only difference between the two outlets is that, the on at the base of the chiller is usually colder than the one inside. Even though we've been warned to stop taking water the base of the chiller, some of us still do.

So on this day, while having a conversation with this colleague of mine. He took water from the chiller. As I was looking at him drinking the water, he made me wanted to drink water too; I stood up to take mine. Immediately I finished taking water from the chiller, I stood up to go back to where I was sitting. When this maintenance guy came and told me to follow him.

When we got to the entrance of manager's office, he told me to stay outside, while he went in. He came out back, went to call the supervisor. When the supervisor arrived, the manager asked him if we have been warned cornering taking water from the chiller, and the supervisor direct the question back to me. Which I replied positively. That moment, the manager told me to leave the work and go home

I was on my way to the locker room, when he said I should go and see the HR, I went to the locker room, where this colleague of mine who I was talking to asked what transpired. I said I was told to go and see the HR. The following day I went to the HR office, and I was told she's not around for the day. Already I knew she won't be coming on Sunday, which is the day after. I just decided I'd be going there on Monday.

On Monday, when I got to her office. I met people standing and asked if they were waiting for her. Which they replied in the affirmative. I then asked if she's in the office, but they said she's in the mall. I waited till she came back. When she was, I followed her in, and asked her if I can enter or I should stay outside. She said I should wait for her outside. After a while she called me and said I should follow her.

She was with her laptop when she entered another office, which we both enter. I asked her if I could sit and she said "It's fine,"

She said I've been reported to her, and asked why I did such. I said "I did so, because water wasn't coming out from inside that I had to quick take water from the chiller, and I admit that I did something wrong." She typed and printed out a letter, and told me to sign and write "Original copy received by me," with my name under it. I read what was in the letter, and it was about me tampering with their machine, and to promise never to let that happen.

Honestly, I was really happy that it didn't lead to me getting fired, but because I was feeling sleepy and hungry at that moment; I couldn't express it. I stood up and left. When I got to work on Tuesday, as I stepped in; the way they shouted my name. I was really shocked. I was like "What's going on here?" one girl out of nowhere, even ran to give me a a hug. Coincidentally the maintenance guy was there while all this was happening. They all thought I've been sacked. I was just overwhelmed with joy, and started to explain how it all happened. That I was only given an undertaken letter to sign.

PS:
Yeah, I'm back. Even though I'm planning to quit this month. It's not certain yet, because cause I've not gotten another job yet.

How My Visit to My Former Place Of Work Went

Yomi: Come and take your things from my place, I'm renovating my shop.
Me: I'll come next year, January.

January

Me: I'll come next week, on Wednesday, Thursday or Saturday. Is the locker still locked? Just asking if there will be a need for me to bring the key along.
Yomi: it's still locked. Come with your key.

I used to work as a phone repairer, but not anymore. I stopped due to lack of funds. A customer brought an iPhone X; in the process of repairing it, the phone broke down completely and wouldn't come up again. Long story short, he told me to provide 80,000 Naira, or get the phone done. I wasn't able to raise the mone, which made him to threatened me with soldiers and thugs, that I had to run for my life.

Some months later, the owner of the Shop that I'm managing a space with, paid the money on my behalf; asked me to pay him back. I didn't know this, until a day that he texted me to come and pack my things. I told him I was scared of those thugs, before telling me he had taken care of it. I'll only pay him a sum of 70,000 Naira, which I agreed to. I sent him 20,000 Naira in November, but I didn't go there to pack my things; he texted me in December that I should come and pack my thing. I told him I'm coming by January which is this month.

On Wednesday which was two days ago. I left home past 8 in the morning and got there an hour later. I met a guy who's learning from him in the shop. I asked for Yomi; he said he hasn't come. I took a stroll around the place, when a man I see as my boss saw me. I greeted him and he replied back;he asked where I am now. I just told him that I'm doing a salary job. He said "Okay," and I left. Continued with my stroll and greeted few people I know, before I walked back to Yomi's shop while waiting for him. When it was 12 PM, I called him. He said he's on his way and I hung up.

Not long after he arrived. We exchanged greetings and I gave him time to relax for a while. While waiting for him to relax, I saw this guy who usually buys phone board and I sold two phone boards to him. He gave me six thousand Naira for the two. That was the money I used for my transport fare back home. I bought launch and Bagco Bag from it as well. I went back to Yomi, and told him about what he said. He said I can start packing; that he is not stopping me. I told him about the 70K he said I should pay, that at least he should reduce it to 50k. He said he can only accept 60K, which I also agreed to and told me to bring the dead iPhone X. I packed my things from the locker into a Bagco Bag, and gave him the iPhone X. I also gave one of the guys working with him his IPhone 6s plus that's with me. While doing that I remembered a phone that was with me, HTC.

I took it out and gave it to the owner. When I got to his place, he was surprised that I came, and asked why I stopped. I told him everything; he said "What should he, himself do?" I told him his own case is different from mine, and he said "okay." I dropped off the phone and left.
When I got to where my things was I wanted to pack both the table and chair along with the things I packed from the locker. One of the guys working for him just said I should drop the table. They can help me to sell it, so as to avoid the stress of carrying it. I just told Yomi about it, and he said "Okay." I left the table there; took the chair plus the things I packed in the Bagco Bag and left. After I said bye to everyone.

The Stress I Passed Through in Receiving My Last Month Salary

For you to make money, you gotta have a business or get a job. I have a job I'm doing, but still, I felt like a 9 year-old-boy who is being spoon feed at home. I can't do anything independently. This happened because I'm broke, and I've not gotten my last month salary.

I was expecting to get my last month salary which is December, latest on the 4th of January. I and my colleagues kept asking each other, "what's causing the delay?" Some people said it's because of the bonus they paid in December, while others said they're having issues with their system. They were saying we should be receiving our salary, anytime from now. But all to no positive avail. There's this thing that's common in my working place; whenever it's time that we're expecting salary, someone will just shouted unexpectedly " I've seen my money," gaining everyone's attention. He or she will start getting questions like, "Is it true?" "When did you see it?" "How much did you get?" and so on. Which is very frustrating and annoying, because it's not true. But at first, everyone will believe it, and it's because that's the purpose of doing the job.

I was on night shift yesterday. Wh ile I was in the locker room trying to relax, I just heard this sudden noise from inside. Everyone was shouting they've paid! They've paid!! Chorusly. I quickly ran inside to confirm what's really going on. When I saw people with their phones, checking their money. This time around it's true. I was also happy, because I knew I was going to see mine as well when I got home.

Some minutes later, people's mood started to change, because they didn't get their full salary. It seems like it affected everyone. I was also scared of course, but I'm sure everyone is going to their money back. That is if it's a mistake. Immediately I closed from work, I went home straight. I changed my dress and pack my clothes to wash. I didn't pick my phone first, because if I had done so, I might just weaked from doing anything.

I just packed my clothes to the washing area, before checking my phone. at this time I started to feel worried. If mine were not complete as well, It's definitely going to make feel bad. I unlocked my phone. Tapped on Messages, then voila! I saw 57,553.33 Naira. I got my full salary. I was just smiling on the inside, as I washed my clothes with joy and happiness.

How my first haircut in 2025 went.

I planned on leaving my hair uncut for six months, which is from July to December. After then, I'll start shaping it from January. I was able to do this with help of durag; by putting it on, all the time. I'm doing this just to have sporting wave on my hair. I can't actually say it doesn't work, because after every bath, I always make sure my hair is being brush before putting on durag. Still, it didn't yield any positive result.

I would've had my hair cut on the first of January, but doing so would make it seems like I'm cutting my hair for the New Year. So I just decided to cut it on the sixth, which was yesterday.

There are two barbers close to where I'm staying, whom I can confidently trust my hair with. I chose to go to one of them, and I had it in mind that if I didn't met him in the shop, I'll go for the second barber. As I got to the first barber's shop; I met him cutting someone's hair, with two of his apprentice standing beside him. I greeted him and sat down, while receiving the fan blowing towards me. A guy came in and told me to sit on another chair, so he could have my hair cut. I just pointed to his boss, and he understood what I meant by that. But as at that time, I didn't knew what I was into.

His phone rang and he answered the call, while still on the customer's hair. Apparently he was talking to a delivery guy who seems not to get the direction of his shop. As he was trying to direct the delivery guy, he stepped out of the shop. He told one of his apprentices to dust the customer's face and remove the cape. As his apprentice was trying to dust the customer's face, the customer just said "My hair is not well trimmed, let him trim it well for me.", when he was done with the call, he came in and the customer repeated what he had said earlier, concerning his hair not been trimmed properly. He took the clipper, and retrimmed the customer's hair.

As he was finishing the customer's hair, the delivery guy came in, and dropped off a POS machine. He paid him for the delivery, and went for his sit, trying to keep the POS machine. That was when a pregnant lady asked his apprentice if the barber was around, which he said "Yes.".

She went straight to where the barber was sitting, and said something like "You just withheld my money all this while." It looked like she came to withdraw money from him, but had issue with the transaction. I was sitting and waiting for him to attend to me, but he seemed not to be concerned about me. He kept discussing with the pregnant lady. One of his apprentices just said "sorry, he would soon be done." I just said "Okay."
Even though in my mind, I was thinking it's not his fault. I was the one waiting for the best. If I had chosen the random guy that approached me earlier, he wouldn't have the chance to be doing all this. I thought he remembered I was sitting, when he said that I shouldn't be annoyed. I told him I was not, what was he expecting me to say.

He finished what he was doing with the pregnant lady. He stood up and came to where I was sitting, before he asked "what style do I want to cut? ". I told him I just wanted to shape and trim my hair. I asked him for price. He looked at me and said 1,500 Naira, I asked if he could do it for 1,000 Naira. He just nodded his head. The moment he combed my hair up, I was shocked seeing how long my hair has grown in six months.

After shaping and trimming my hair, I handed his apprentice the money and look at the mirror to see what he had done, I was not even impressed a bit. It looked like the trimming wasn't done properly, and the shape he did wasn't visible and straight. To bet honest, I was disappointed to what he did. I was planning to shape it again in two weeks time; but with this, I'd have to wait for a month to recover my lost hairline. And I won't be doing it in his place, for sure.

My first rizz for the year.

Nairaland GeneralRe: My Stay in Utah by TyroneKyle(op): 6:01pm On Jan 02, 2025
How I spent the first day of the year

I already knew I'll be going to work on the first of January. I've put the things I'll need in place, and set my alarm at 5:25 am, before I slept off and woke up at 5:01 am, slept back again, until 5:25 am when the alarm rang I stopped the alarm, and stood up to brush my teeth, and take my bath before I dressed up for work, and left home at 6:06 am.

I looked around the street and everywhere was quiet. It doesn't look like they did anything called cross over night. I kept walking till I get to work, and went straight to the locker room to change for work. I came out of the locker to pick up the hair net we use in covering our hair, when this security guy said Happy new year. I just replied same here bro! I was thinking so this guy would be the first person to wish me happy new year. I didn't want to answer because as a Muslim I shouldn't participate in such, but at the same time we gotta give respect to others, as that is what we expect from them.

Upon entering the bakery, I greeted everyone and they did the same as well, I just went to the sack where damaged bread are being kept and picked one that's when one of the guys who's doing night shift just said I should assist them, I told him to wait, that he should let me drop the bread with me. I left, and came back to assist them, till they finished their work, before we took over from them.

We started our work as usual, but today being the first day of the year we were allowed to close early, instead of 6pm the actual closing time, we closed by 3pm. I was happy of course that we did close early. We didn't work that much, it's just like I came to work to sleep, and there's one thing I did which I've never done since I started working in the bakery, they said taking out of bread is not allowed if you are a staff, some people people I've been sneaking out bread, while some of them are caught, but were never reported to the manager. Because of the damaged bread I took in the morning I was unable to eat the bread they give us. I tried and successfully sneaked out the bread with the help of a friend. Even though I don't plan on eating the bread today, because my stomach is full, and I couldn't take anything in. When I got home I just looked for a place to keep it, and was thinking about what to do next between going to mosque, and washing my clothes at night. Or washing my clothes first before going to mosque, I decided to wash my clothes first before I left for mosque.

My to-do list for the year 2025:

I think the biggest mistake I made last year was not having a plan. Thinking everything is going to be alright at the end, but instead everything went south. I was like what is really happening this year! I didn't realize this until when it's remaining 3 months to end the year. Which means I can only try, but there's nothing tangible I can actually do. In order for me not to repeat the same mistake, it's better I plan ahead, which give birth to the To-Do list and Not-To-Do list. These are the lists of things I'm planning to do this year.

Moving to the urban part of Lagos : I've always been in Lagos since childhood till this moment. The thing is, I spent the most in the rural area. Living in the outskirt of Lagos has it's own benefits, but there are some things that is lacking here. Just imagine me spending 1,500 Naira, just to get to the nearest bank, and I'm still in Lagos.

Not only that, I'm planning to start delivery with skating shoes next year. The road in my area is nothing to write home about, apart from the road connecting to the town, there's no other tarred road here. That's going to definitely affect my movement with skating shoes. Even if there's good road, no restaurants, just one supermarket, no club and standard hotel. These things I mentioned are the ones that will bring me customer to deliver for.

I'm even tired of people asking for where I'm staying, because after telling them, it's certain they are going to ask where that is. I'd start explaining to them the nearest place to where I'm staying which I'm tired of. Take for example, if I tell someone I'm staying at Apapa, I'm sure they wouldn't have asked where Apapa is, except of course the person is not staying in Lagos.

Having a savings of 300,000 Naira : when I say I want to save 300,000 Naira. It's not that I'll be saving it once, I might save 50,000 Naira for one particular course and then another 70,000 Naira for a different thing. But and the end of the year I should be able to calculate a total savings of 300,000 Naira. I hope I'll be able to see this through.

Getting a new skating shoes: I'm planning on saving 70,000 Naira and I've been able to saved 50,000 Naira . 20,000 Naira shouldn't be hard for me to save. I've actually had skating shoes in the past that was in 2020 during Covid-19 period, which lasted for a year and it was a good experience.

The last time I tried skating with someone else's skating shoes, it was as if I'm a beginner, like someone who's just getting started to learn how to skate. I was shocked that day, I started feeling like is this really me. The guy who lend me his skating shoes was with his friends, who were also with their skating shoes. There's this look that they give me, like this one is just a beginner. That day was really funny, anyways I'll be getting a new one by August.

Get some new wears for myself: I'm not a fan of of getting new clothes. it's not like I don't like it or want it, rather, I don't prioritize it enough for me to start buying new ones. This reminds me of a girl, actually a colleague of mine at work, that advice me that it's not necessary that I get all the polos and trousers in a month, I can be getting at least one polo or trousers in a month, because before I knew it , I would have my wardrobe filled with new clothes, which is exactly what I'm doing now.

I started buying new clothes in May last year, though I wasn't consistent until October. By the end of last year I've bought four new top and two trousers, that could pass as a win for someone who hasn't bought any new clothes in the last two years. This year I'm planning to get at least 4 tops and trousers. Nothing is impossible.

My not-do-list of the year 2025

This is me planning the year not with a to-do list, but rather not-to-do list. I hope I'll be able to abide by it, because I'm not going to be questioned if I didn't keep to my promise. I'm thinking of doing a review after 6 month. Let's see how it goes.

Watching movies: ain't gon lie, I spent most of my time last year watching movies, to the extent that I start to think if there's anything else I could do with my life. It's not like I wasn't able to learn some things from it, don't get me wrong. It's just that why would someone wake up and the first thing he is doing is turning on the TV to watch movie like what the heck is that? Don't you have any meaningful thing to do with your life? It's not like I'm just going to watch it for an hour or so, as I'm watching it, I'm eating breakfast, lunch at the same time dinner. I'm actually enjoying it. The problem is that there are some things that it stopping me from doing, and I know for me to start doing it back, I have to stop totally or reduce the time I use in watching movie.
