MY MESSAGE OF TRANSIT INTO A NEW YEAR I sit here in an overwhelmed state, thinking about what this New Year holds for us. I believe our expectations preponderates the expectations we've had in the past. Last year was indeed blissful enough, owing to our different approaches into it. Although, our goals, aspirations, visions, expectations, desires were not fully achieved. Some errors where made in the series of events to produce a desired result. Nevertheless, we won't want to cast the aforementioned into oblivion, because the future is radiant for those who strive to achieve their set goals. Although, in the past, our families have shown good health despite some crises in our nation. We have been able to achieve a peaceful and non-violent election. Our businesses and our different endeavors, be it education, marketing, rendering services in different organizations has helped to ameliorate our socio-economic conditions. All these were made possible by one person; GOD. God has been there for us in the past, HE has seen our leaders through successful elections, he has made our businesses flourish, HE has put food on our tables, HE has made Nigeria a home for all, irrespective of religious differences and most especially, HE has not allowed us to run out of Oxygen. I believe that irrespective of who you are, irrespective of your socio-economic status, irrespective of the religious group you find yourself, you are accountable to a creator that created everything you can see, feel, including the ones that cannot be imagined. Let's see ourselves in everybody we meet, let loose religious differences, because there's always a reason for all things which is known only by our creator. I am a member of ECKANKAR, you being a Christian, Muslim, Pagan or even an Atheist makes no difference because there's a reason for finding ourselves in different religions. We should not feel superior to others and think we're most fortunate to be in a particular religious group. Conclusively, I enjoin everybody to make LOVE his/her priority in this New Year. Every religion teaches love, because GOD is LOVE and LOVE is GOD. Let's give this love to animals, plants, humans in form, ourselves and most especially GOD. I believe that a start in this New Year with love is a start of Joy, I believe that a start in this New Year with love is a start of Success, Spiritual Upliftment and most pertinent, Good Health. Let's learn from the lessons of our past and focus on what the future holds for us. Be that change you want to see in all ramifications and let's serve with a loving heart and might always, so that the labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain, which is to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign. Finally, I want to say a big "HAPPY NEW YEAR" to you reading this post. I am in the same shoes as you... I rep UNN (Medicine and Surgery)... we have already resumed for 2015/2015 session.... I know you're a UITE, right? |
