RomanceRead This Post Patiently And Agree Or Disagree by ubiqly(op): 2:26pm On Nov 12, 2017
Most of us grew up with the false belief (my opinion) that you will only find the right woman, the one who would love you genuinely when you don't have a dime or when you're not yet sound financially. I held unto this idea for a very long time till I got to a point in life where I could no longer struggle with reality; I had to face it.

I have come to a stage in life where I no longer entertain ideas that are not practical or are not in touch with realities. True-life experiences will sometimes teach you that ideas like the one this post revolves around are nothing but mere abstract craps which people use to give themselves hopes.

Let me tell you today, having money and even excess of it will not stop you from finding a woman who suits you and who loves you dearly. It depends on your class and what you want. I strongly believe that holding onto the idea that you will only find a woman who will love you genuinely, when you have not achieved financial success, is a mentality that is seriously laced with inferiority complex! It is like saying no comfortable or financially successful young man will marry a woman who will love him genuinely. If money will not make a woman love you genuinely, then you can try poverty. I believe it will help! Being broke as ceramics is not a guarantee that genuine love awaits you whenever a girl agrees to date you. People date for different reasons. Among the super rich, rich, comfortable, struggling, broke, poor and poorest, there are honest people, so also there are deceitful people too.

The number of marriages or homes that get broken every now and then in our society due to lack of money far outnumbers the number that get broken due to the existence of money and much money. You might want to think otherwise considering the the rate at which you read or hear about broken marriages in the news. It is so because the people involved are mostly celebrities. Whatever they do is news. It is even news if they go to the restroom! You don't know the high number that get broken everyday among broke people who 'genuinely' loved themselves because they are not popular. It is hardly news when theirs happen.

What's the essence of having a wife that loves you 'genuinely' because she met you struggling, when there's a high possibility that she can cheat on you because you don't have money? Or isn't it the present society we live in again? Why do we always throw away the issue of financial compatibility when the woman is at the receiving end but embrace it strongly when the man is at the receiving end because he's probably broke?

I'm not suggesting that one should not marry when he's not comfortable. A man can marry whenever it suits him; be it in riches or in poverty. What I'm saying is that the idea that you will only find a woman who will love you genuinely when you're not comfortable doesn't hold weight. What if she happens to have achieved more financial success than you? Would she still be a gold-digger who doesn't love you genuinely? A comfortable guy should go for a comfortable girl so that financial appreciation could be a mutual thing. You will only attract leeches and parasites when you go for broke girls who would have looked down on you years back when you were broke even if they, themselves were carrying poverty on their heads as if they were hawking it.

Whether you like it or not, financial success gives you a wider room to make choices when it comes to women. That's the same reason why a broke guy always begs his girlfriend not to leave him...because his choices are highly limited. No woman is perfect. In Nigeria, money gives you the opportunity to get closer to your choice woman. Young Nigerian women nowadays are allergic to long stories of how bright your prospects are; face it!!! I don't hustle to impress ladies. I hustle so that I can give the mother of my kids and my kids the best. Whether she loves me genuinely or not is nothing but a headache for the idealists!

Foreign AffairsMartin Luther King Had All-night Sex Orgy At Workshop For Church Ministers by ubiqly(op): 5:46am On Nov 07, 2017
An FBI report has been declassified as part of the newly released John F. Kennedy assassination files, and claims Martin Luther King Jr had an ‘all-night sex orgy’ at a training workshop.

The report released on Friday was written just weeks before the revered civil rights leader was assassinated in 1968, and details allegations about a workshop King held earlier that year in Miami.

The FBI’s sex smears against King have been well known for years, but the newly released 20-page report offers new insight into the harsh portrait the Bureau attempted to paint of him as he campaigned for civil rights and economic reforms.

It is not clear whether the FBI was able to confirm any of the salacious claims it included in the analysis, and they could not be independently verified.

The report, dated March 12, 1968, explains in the introduction that it had been prepared to offer officials insights into King’s ‘views, goals, objectives, tactics and the reasons therefor’. King was assassinated in Memphis on April 4, 1968.

‘The course King chooses to follow at this critical time could have momentous impact on the future of race relations in the United States,’ the introduction said.

A section in the report titled ‘King’s Personal Conduct’ begins: ‘With funds that he had received from the Ford Foundation, King held the first of two workshops in Miami, Florida in February, 1968, to train Negro ministers in urban leadership.’

‘One Negro minister in attendance later expressed his disgust with the behind-the-scene drinking, fornication, and homosexuality that went on at the conference,’ the document reads.

‘Several Negro and white prostitutes were brought in from the Miami area. An all night-sex orgy was held with these prostitutes and some of the delegates in attendance,’ it goes on.

The report claims that a large table at the event was filled with whiskey, and ‘two Negro prostitutes were paid $50.00 to put on a sex show for the entertainment of guests.’

‘A variety of sex acts deviating from the normal were observed,’ the report said, going on to claim this kind of activity was regular for King.

Sports6 Things We Learned From Super Sunday by ubiqly(op): 10:39pm On Nov 06, 2017
It was a festival of football in the English Premiership yesterday as four very enthralling games took place with lots of talking points. We saw Tottenham struggle to a win over Crystal Palace, while Everton made a fighting comeback from two goals down to defeat Watford. However, the biggest games of the day happened in London and Manchester as Chelsea defeated Mournho and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, while Manchester City outclassed Arsenal at the Etihad. Here are six things we learned from both heavyweight clashes.

David Silva and Kevin de Bruyne are wizards

Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva are truly beautiful footballers to watch. Their blend of control and creativity at the heart of the midfield, both playing with equal balance of game-controlling passing, and piercing, pressure-inducing play, is orgasmic. They dance their way in and out of pockets of space, drifting in between the cracks of the game, interplaying with one another, effortlessly changing the angle of attack, always moving the opposition defenders, pulling and pushing them out of position with deadly frequency and running them in circles. They make ‘The Beautiful Game’ beautiful and pleasing to the eye with all that aesthetics. They carved Arsenal open repeatedly, were always on the move, consistently finding space in and around Granit Xhaka, receiving the ball on the half-turn and pinging the ball in and out of the midfield third with great pace and precision. The spaces that they opened up were vast and advanced. Arsenal could, simply, not contain. They were just too much to handle for the gunners and were hugely instrumental in getting all three points for City.

Kante in Chelsea’s most important player

The month of October wasn’t favourable for Chelsea as they were without N’Golo Kante. In the six games they played without him last month, they only kept one clean sheet. Kante returned from a hamstring injury yesterday and dominated the midfield. The diminutive French international was everywhere, snapping at the heels of Lukaku and Rashford whenever they dropped back and stepping into defensive gaps when Gary Cahill or Azpilicueta surged forward. He also kept Nemanja Matic, who has been a pivotal figure for United since he transfer from Chelsea, quiet as the combative Frenchman dominated in midfield. Chelsea are a completely different team with Kante in midfield and their defensive solidity is down to him. No one player makes a team but one player can make a heck of a difference and that player is N’golo Kante.

Arsenal should let go of Mesut Ozil

It would have been very painful for Arsenal fans to have watched Kevin de Bruyne and David Silva work their magic, while their own ‘magician’ was only able to perform his most famous trick, disappearing. Mesut Ozil was on the periphery of the match, only showing his quality in fleeting glimpses and when Arsenal needed him most, he was nowhere to be seen. That has been the criticism leveled at the German for many years and he still does not do nearly enough to shut the critics down and impress himself on the big games, especially away from home. When he does receive possession, it is often deep in his own half, a long way from offering any threat, and under immediate pressure from an opponent. These games do not suit Ozil. He does not like them; he does not command them. Against City, he went missing again. Perhaps the time to let him move on has come.....

Foreign AffairsIncumbent Kenyatta Declared Winner Of Repeat Kenyan Poll by ubiqly(op): 8:24pm On Oct 30, 2017
Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta has been declared winner of the recent Kenyan election re-run after garnering 98.27 per cent of the valid votes cast.

Kenyatta mobilized about 7,483,895 votes beating his main rival Raila Amollo Odinga of the National Super Alliance.

Odinga had earlier on called on his supporters to boycott the polls that were characterized by low turnout compared to the previous election held in August.

In his calls for boycott, Odinga had called for electoral reforms before any other elections could conducted, following the nullification by the earlier results by the country’s Supreme Court.

Despite this however, his name appeared on the ballot papers as he had not signed a withdrawal form as the country’s constitution mandate.

While declaring the winner, the Chairperson of the Independent Elections and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), Wafula Chebukati said that they were satisfied that the election had met all conditions necessary to be termed as free, fair and credible.

“I am satisfied that we were able to meet these conditions to deliver what to us, and I believe, observers, was a free, fair and credible election,” he said.

The election did not take place in 25 of the 290 constituencies in the country due to what the chairman of the electoral commission termed as voter intimidation and security risks the election officials were exposed to.

In his acceptance speech, Uhuru said that he was ready to abide by the country’s constitution if his win was challenged in a court of law.

"My victory today is just part of a process that is likely to once again be subjected to a constitutional test through our courts, he said, adding “I will submit to this constitutional path regardless of the outcome."

He however called on citizens to avoid engaging in violence and actions that could disrupt the stability of the country to enable the country get back on track.

In the first round of elections held on August 8, Kenyatta had won by 54.2 per cent of votes with 8,203,290 votes while his main rival Odinga got 6,762,224 votes.

The previous election were later nullified by the Supreme Court after a petition by the official opposition party National Super Alliance (NASA) on the basis that it did not comply with constitutional provisions.

CareerTop 5 Job Secrets Hrs Don't Want You To Know by ubiqly(op): 12:14am On Aug 22, 2017
What are those 5 job secrets they will never tell you? Have you ever wondered while some people are getting and changing jobs with ease, some others are still at home prayerfully tapping into other people’s blessings?

Or you are probably wondering how some people change jobs like they own the firms, while others are scared to leave their jobs like a little puppy hiding from the rain. There are some secrets you don’t know and right now, I am about to expose some of these secrets.

Application gets you an interview, recommendations gives you the job.

This is what people call “connection”. Instead of applying endlessly to all job roles on the internet, spend time networking. Applying for a job you are qualified for, might land you an interview but it doesn’t guarantee you the job. All you need is just a recommendation from anyone who is an insider in that firm and BOOOM you have that job! I have worked in three different organizations and two of them came without stress - but with recommendation.

There is always that special candidate among the invitees for an interview

Because of the fact that the above point exists, therefore this point should also be in existence. I remember applying for a job that I was recommended for. Most of them saw me as the underdog as they continued to discuss among themselves. They never knew that I already had a pre-discussion with the man that was to interview us, and the reason for me being with them was just to show face.

You see a large number of people who are waiting for that interview; there is someone who knows that he has the job already. You might ask yourself “So why the need to conduct the interview?”

It is because they want to know if there is someone who is actually far better than the “special” candidate. Once all of you perform within the same range in the interview, the candidate is chosen with ease.

The person with an extra skill gets the job

When next you are invited for an interview, always ask yourself “what can I offer aside from my job role?” Don’t bother thinking about “team player, analytical skills". All those are jack and bull skills.

Companies are looking to cut down on labor cost, and they are willing to hire someone who possesses various skills in his armory. If can’t answer the above question, no need hoping and waiting when they tell you “We will get back to you.” I hope you have known this job secret

RomanceHow To Announce A Pregnancy To Your Boyfriend. by ubiqly(op): 10:19pm On Jul 16, 2017
Especially after one night stands, announcing a pregnancy to a man that is not married to you might seem very difficult. Before the announcement, ensure that you have confirmed the pregnancy first. Sometimes, you might think that you are pregnant yet you are not even pregnant. Ensure you go to a clinic and take tests

After that, take the time to reflect so as to be sure of the owner of the pregnancy especially in cases of multiple sexual partners. You also do not need to tell the person right away. One thing that you can do is to speak to someone you can trust to advise you on how to go about it. Depending on your location, consider the options that you have. In some places, abortion may be legal. In order places, you might be able to give your child for adoption after birth.

Plan your communication strategy. Know what to say and the way to say it to the person. Be very audible in your communication. Also, ensure that you meet the person in a place that is quite convenient too so that if a misunderstanding ensues, you can still be safe.

PoliticsNigerians And Politics by ubiqly(op): 9:48pm On Jul 13, 2017
Nigerians are one set of humans in the world that can easily fall for political lies. If you follow the Nigerian political scene closely, you would realize that an ordinary Nigerian can be easily tricked into endorsing a popular candidate. The most embarrassing of all is that majority of these Nigerians do not even understand politics.

Try this. Wake up very early on a Saturday and walk towards a nearby newspaper stand. You will be surprised at how very many of them will go on an endless rant on the situation of a particular news story. Although some of them might have some knowledge about the story, the majority of them actually do not understand the story but would happily give their own thoughts and opinions.

I often advise people that before they make a stand in a political situation, it's best that they read every available literature on the story, watch the news regularly, listen to other people's interpretation of the story before giving their judgments.

The majority of these folks that know nothing about politics and go ahead to rant are some of the people that have a microscopic understanding about what a political atmosphere should look like. They just contribute more problems in the society with yeye talk.

EducationThings I Loved About Secondary School by ubiqly(op): 8:39pm On Jul 13, 2017
A lot of Nigerians agree that their time in secondary school was among the best days of their life. I agree too. I enjoyed every bit of my secondary school such that sometimes I wish to be young again, start all over again and be struck there forever. Okay, I am lying. I am incredibly happy that I have passed that stage. However, here are some of the few things I loved about secondary school.

a. Copying Homework: If you ever did all your secondary school assignments on your own without copying any other student's homework, you are a boss. In fact, you deserve plenty awards. Copying was the norm then because nobody was ready to stress them to think. We would wait for the most brilliant person to finish their own and then we will copy!

b. Getting Punished: If you got regularly punished while in secondary school, it means you were a gangster and everyone wanted to be a gangster except all the mummy's kids who were scared of their parents sha!

c. Not crying after being canned: This one was called "odeshi." If you ever shed a single tear when being beaten in school, you were automatically tagged as a baby. To be strong, you must never cry when beaten!

HealthWhy Do Most Nigerian Private Hospitals Treat Every Illness As Malaria? by ubiqly(op): 5:44pm On Jul 12, 2017
Ever walked into a private hospital to complain about some pains and other signs of illness and the physician just concluded that it is malaria? Then after a few days or weeks and your illness persist, they then say it is something else? If you haven’t experienced that, well I have.

It seems all Nigerian private hospital doctors have a meeting regularly where they talk about the illness to treat for the month or year. Maybe that’s why everybody that’s sick in a particular month is usually being treated for the same medical case. So sometimes if you do notice, in a week, almost everyone who is sick is being treated for malaria, and you begin to wonder if Malaria was the only sickness that exists in Nigeria.

My friend described a time that she went to the hospital, made complaints and was diagnosed with malaria. She was even given drugs, drip, had to do a blood test, etc, and the doctor still said it was malaria only for them to check her high blood pressure and discover that all that was wrong was that she was stressing herself too much! She just needed to rest and eat healthily! Wow!

Nigerian private hospital doctors need to calm down with slamming every major illness symptoms with malaria. Although, I'm not a doctor, sometimes, it might just be stomach pain, fatigue or reaction to the weather!

PoliticsA Writer Bares His Take On The Lekki Flooding Issue - The Shame Of Lekki by ubiqly(op): 12:33am On Jul 10, 2017
Don't get me wrong. Lekki, like VGC is one of the nicest places anyone will want to reside in Lagos. It is an enclave of the high and mighty, the abode of the rich and wealthy.

Houses, (sorry I mean mansions) here are tastefully furnished with exquisite finishings. They are valued in multiples of millions. Like Ikoyi and its lush green waterfront foreshore - that is Banana Island, Lekki Peninsula l ,II and Victoria Garden City boasts of having one of the largest clusters of crème de la crème individuals in its neighborhood.

Most of them have properties here, while expatriates without a second thought will choose to live here, than settle elsewhere.

If you want to draw your conclusion from the above paragraphs, you will be forgiven to think that Lekki Peninsula boasts of the best, smoothly paved road network, the most efficient drainage system, a general independent power plant that supplies constant electricity, potable water and other basic amenities.

But I was full of utmost disappointment and utter disbelief when I toured VGC and the streets of Lekki and found most of its passages in state of absolute disrepair. A large portion of the interlocking blocks used in place of asphalt in the construction of the roads have been washed off, resulting in undulating terrains and uneven surfaces.

The drainages are an eyesore, most are blocked with stagnant water turned breeding grounds for microorganism.

The water table level of Lekki soil is understandably high because of its proximity to the Antarctic circle.

This explains why after a minimal rainfall, flooding will occur. The probability is high. It is an open secret. It now leaves you pondering why with all these facts, a functional drainage system is yet to be put in place in most streets.

Longing for a stable electricity in Lekki is like asking for the impossible. Residents usually spend more money to power their generators, (it probably triples) what they pay as electricity bills monthly. Electricity comes on and off intermittently.

It is quite unbelievable that this community can't boast of an independent power plant that ensures steady electricity supply and may be contribute a few Mw to the national grid. (do they have one I don't know of?).

You bet, it's the same in VGC.

I think Lekki and VGC elitist residents - while waiting for government to come to their aid - should on their own swing to action and accentuate a joint community effort with an avowed determination to consciously arrest these public infrastructural decay.

This will in the long run bring these areas back to its prime place among choicest destinations around here, while restoring it's waning glory.

Nollywood actors; the likes of Babatunde Omidina aka Baba suwe, Funsho Adeolu who are based in Ikorodu have expressed their fears about the Badoo cult.

Speaking with newsmen, the Nollywood actors said they are scared with the cult, they don’t move around like before and if they do, they leave early in the morning.

One of the actors, Babatunde Omidina aka Baba suwe, who was not ashamed to admit that he is really afraid, that he has never encountered something like this for the past 10 years he is been staying in Ikorodu.

He admitted thus;

"I was born and bred in Lagos but I have been living in Ikorodu for over ten years. Since I have been here, nothing like this has happened before. Personally I am very afraid of these boys and my prayer is that I should never encounter them in my life. With all that I have heard about their activities, I am scared of them.

Their activities have hindered my movement because it is no longer advisable to move around at night. In fact you would be shocked at the number of vigilante groups you would meet on the way. Ikorodu is now hot and a lot of people do not want to come here. It is so bad that lots of landlords have vacated their homes for fear of these boys. They ran for their lives...

Romance5 Traits That Will Make You More Attractive To Women by ubiqly(op): 9:57am On Jul 08, 2017
What features do women like about men?

Could it be that they cannot resist the men’s strength and confidence, or, on the contrary, softness, and sensitivity. There are five answers to the question: “What does make a man so attractive to women?” Using them you’ll be able to attract a woman you always wanted!

Women like when you treat them with respect.

A respective attitude is top among things women like about men. If a man treats a woman with respect, then she will always appreciate it, no matter whether she is a prudish lady in a supermarket, a giggly beautiful neighbor or a beloved true life partner. Do you really want to get acquainted with such an ideal woman? Then you should behave (and think) appropriately....

Women like your sense of humor.

The wittiest joke will hardly make a woman’s heartbeat speeds up. Women really prefer men who can treat many situations with humor, who do not take life’s troubles to heart, and are able to laugh well, including on themselves. Frankly speaking, it can be explained this way: a good sense of humor shows that a person is smart. So (somewhere in the depths of her consciousness), a woman understands that with this man’s help she can pass excellent genes to her children.

Women like when you always give them attention.

A woman especially appreciates the moments when the man’s attention is completely given to her. Being attentive is one of the distinctive features women like about men.
If a woman has to repeat her question several times before her man answers it, or if a man considers attention signs superfluous, such relations are doomed. Women like and especially appreciate the moments when men devote their attention only to them.

Women like grateful listeners.

Women are well aware of the lack of interest on the part of the companion. It is important for them to see the eyes of a man and feel that they are not talking “into the void.” The main mistake men make which often leads to into this situations is that they try to start a conversation on topics that they may be feminine to them or they do not know much about: clothes, cosmetics, shops, gossip. When you do this, it is unlikely that you will become an interesting company (women have girlfriends for this purpose), and when she is engaged in it with you and you are not listening or showing enough interest, it becomes a turn off.

Women like real men.

Well, in the end, regardless of every feature women like about men, it will be fair to admit that women just love men. They love them as they are: sensitive and understanding, generous and successful, courageous and strong, attentive and grateful, romantic and above all, loving. Men cannot live without women, and women cannot live without men. Both sex groups should learn patience and understanding, and in this case, love will prevail in their relationships.
