Thanks bro, you are a life saver. I have been trying to sell my fishes for about a month now and it seems the buyers connived to try and cheat me with ridiculously low prices. I will construct this and dry my fishes. Thanks a million. I will ask questions about this as the need arises.
Emmafly:
no . its the coal cover. that's the first layer mesh. but its not necessary if the oven is properly constructed. I don't use it.
the deck one is just a flat iron with about three iron rods joined in between to withstand the weight of the deck load.
thanks

Top feed is good. I tink u can sort d fishes with ur hands. Feeding them 2 times daily is good, but, if d fishes r still about 1 month nd below, den 3 times daily is better. U don't weigh d quantity of the feed, u just feed dem till dey r satiated, dats is u feed dem till dey stop eating. But u ll av to b observant not to over feed dem, so dat d water won't get polluted.
Thanks bro, please one last question.
How do you improve the oxygen content of the pond.
I don't know where to buy an aerator in Nigeria and what type.
AgricultureRe: Hidden Truths About Catfish Business!!! by ubreeze(m): 10:54pm On Apr 06, 2017
Hello guys, i just joined this thread yesterday and trying to read everything is going to take a while before i get answers.
I am a newbie in fish farming. I stocked my ponds with 1500 fingerlings and i have been feeding them with Coppens (N12,800 per bag over here).
The fishes are 1 month and 3 weeks in the pond and feeding them is getting really expensive. I swapped to SARB feed (N10,000) and I feed them 3 times daily.
They are eating 1 bag in 3 days right now, it is still expensive. I am feeding them 3mm, about to move to 4mm.
Please house, kindly assist with the following concerns:
1. I want to swap to Nigerian feed and I have been hearing a lot about Vital feed in this forum but its not readily available here. Is Topfeed a good or better option?
2. I want to start feeding them twice a day, is this okay? If it is okay, what times shd the feeding be done.
3. I heard someone talking about weighing the quantity of feed before giving to the feed, pls what is ur advice on this?
4. Currently my workers use their hands while sorting the fish, is this a good practice or there is a better way.
I am in Uyo/Eket in Akwa Ibom state, is there anyone in this forum who has a farm around me? I would love to learn from that person practically.
I will very much appreciate any advice or contribution.

PoliticsRe: Buhari, Not Jonathan, Responsible For Refineries Resuming Production by ubreeze(m): 11:49am On Aug 02, 2015
1. Yes that is true
2. Also true
3.Also true but here you got it wrong. That report stated that FG signed Heads of agreement and not CONTRACT. There is a world of difference between the 2. A heads of agreement is a non-binding document outlining the main issues relevant to a tentative (partnership or other) agreement.[1] A heads of agreement document will only be enforceable when it is adopted into a parent contract and subsequently agreed upon. Until that point, a heads of agreement will not be legally binding. So in a lay man's term, they were still in discussions.
4. U used the word plans. I actually see the issue you have here, u think signing a Million Dollar contract is the same as contracting someone to supply sand to your bulding site.
5. Your source ofinformationhere is not credible, its just a blog and we all know theirstock in trade SENSATIONALISM. The more sensational the story, the more readership. But for the sake of arguement, the TAM was phased and production was not meant to be improved until the final stages, i hope u are now clear on that.
6. What is the case here? Anyone who followed the TAM process knew that the Original Refineries Builders ORB refused to carry out the TAM, they instead recommended SAIPEM. SAIPEM's bill was outrageous and NNPC had to opt for the Original Equipment Manufacturers. These guys were to work with indeginoues Engineers to carry out the TAM. So i ask again, what point are youy making here. The Group Executive Director, Refining and Petrochemicals, NNPC, Mr. Ian Udoh spoke during a press briefing organised by the corporation to refute claims that it was indicted by the report of the forensic audit carried out on its operations by PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Thatdoes not mean that it was in Feb 2015 that indeginous Engineers were contracted for the TAM. You shared the link, i thought u would av taken time to read and comprehend it yourself.
7. lol, my guy u are really confused. Kindly tell me the date of this publication. You are just mixing up events.
8. Let me quote the opening statement of the link u posted, "Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, yesterday assured that the nation’s four refineries would be fully back on stream in the first quarter of 2016." Let me draw emphasis to two parts in that statement, FOUR REFINERIES and FULLY. I now ask, are the FOUR REFINERIES FULLY back onsream? I rest my case.
In the second link you pasted, 3 of the refineries are to RESUME PRODUCTION but was it mentioned that it will be MAXIMUM production? Reading comes easy but comprehension does not.
to answer your quest5ions
1. The TAM was not carried out in secrecy, every major newspaper in Nigeria reported it but then we only read blogs. The TAM has even been a subject of controversy and has been coming up on the news because Nigerians felt NNPC actualling went ahead with the $1.6bn bid presented by the companies recommended by the ORBs. NNPC has been defending its actions letting Nigerians know that the total costing will amount to $550M
2. I dont have that answer right now but i will in 2 days.
3. It was paid by GEJ's administration. In the link u used to lend credence to your N99BN indeginous engineers point, it was stated clearly that NNPC held a press conference in Feb 2015 to clear allegations that it was indicted by the PriceWaterhouseCoopers audit report. If i may quote the report, “Even the $550m is quite much. So, we amortised it over 18 months so that we will be able to swallow it in bits more easily. The 18 months started since last October and this means that early next year, the refineries should be in shape.”
So bro, the TAM started in October 2014, was in phases, is still ongoing, has nothing to do with Buhari.
I now throw a challenge to anyone saying Buhari has a hand in the TAM to tell me how.
PoliticsRe: A Police Out Station In Kwali-abuja by ubreeze(m): 12:25pm On Feb 25, 2015
For the records, i'm not saying this is the best that could have been done, but did we really take a look at the signage? it said OUT STATION. Your dictionary will clearly tell you that an out station means a station in a remote or sparsely populated location. It could have been better like i said but is it GEJ's fault? Don't we have citizens there, no Representatives in the state and federal houses? No LG chairman? We are quick to apportion blame but what have we done ourselves to improve our lots but complain? When have we demanded performance from our political leaders? We are quick to blame the president for everything when the people we are meant to hold accountable are messing us up. Lets grow up.
PoliticsRe: BREAKING: Sarkin Baka Adamawa Arrested For Leading Vigilantes To Recapture Terri by ubreeze(m): 11:07am On Nov 18, 2014
arsetalks:
This is so shameful. Those that defeated the evil group known as Boko Haram that the Army was not able to defeat? I guess thats the national recognition they deserve for their gallantry?

This government is getting to a point whereby it be criminal to call it a JOKE but whats happening is way more than a joke. How can someone defend this madness.

Yet some people who are blinded by sentiments - regional and religion sentiments will come here and shout GEJ till whenever they in their myopic thinking want.

How can you blame anyone for believing GEJ has a hand in Boko haram's increasing wickedness?
This report was generated by one Dr. Peregrino Brimah and not by any reputable news source. However in the earlier reports about the recapture of Mubi, this Sarkin Mawa adamawa was not mentioned, so who the is he? If he was arrested, where is he being held? which security outfit has him? For the sake of argument, i am of the view that The Police IG is 100% right to order for a screening, Dr Peregrino of all people should know this. If we allow the hunters go into theses territories by themselves, what then happens when we have another "army" with guns allowed to roam the territory? Who is to tell what they may turn to tomorrow. Today they are hunters getting back their homeland, what stops them from wanting to rule the territory they 'recaptured'. What stops them from dividing the lands among themselves and driving out the original landowners? what stops them from making demands from the Govt. and in turn becoming another militia force that will wreck more havoc in the North east? , You don't allow untrained civilians with arms to gather in such large numbers without proper screening and supervision. Let the hunters reclaim their lands, i am not against that but let them do it the right way. And the right way is this, we want to be sure THEY ARE WHO THEY CLAIM THEY ARE, we want to know where they live, what their backgrounds are, who they are sympathetic to and we also want them to be protected by trained army personnel. Afterall at this point, who will be able to differentiate between a hunter and a BH member, becos for a fact they are mixed up in their midst. Taking time to do the right thing does not mean time is being wasted, let the hunters go through the screening( im sure they will receive some level of training too) then they will be better equipped to reclaim their lands.
