1. If Tinubu cared so much about a southern presidency, why did he connive with the north to remove a southern president?

2. If Tinubu really loved the south as this writer tries to portray, why did Tinubu support a northern president for 8 years while the southerners were being killed by northerners in their own land?

3. If Tinubu's presidency is actually a southern presidency as this writer tries to portray, why are northers still killing southerners in Tinubu's presidency and even gaining more grounds into the south ?

Imagine, Oyo state alone bigger than 5 states, yet the 5 states getting allocation for 5 states while Oyo still collects for one state. The military rulers kept changing local government areas to states, which kind of warped system is that?

Most especially you told them to employ reason and dialogue by involving their top polititicians in their agitations and do it peacefully, but know they have decided to tow the path of violence once again.

The funniest thing is that the yorubas are now the main focus of their hate campaigns despite our non connivance and involvement back then and right now.

I hope they backtrack and reconsider their stance before its too late hence history might repeat itself.

Gowon released Obafemi Awolowo unconditionally from Prison and gave him position in his government.. Man still went to Aburi to meet with Ojukwu on talks to avert the civil war but all pleas fell on deaf ears and Ojukwu still went ahead to commit treason by declaring the biafra republic.

We saw the jubilation after the war and how Nigerians quickly embraced Igbos back into their societies as if no war ever happened. Same Gowon introduced the NYSC scheme to unite all Nigerians.

Awolowo and the Acton Group (and indeed several other stakeholders) at the constitutional conference were unsure of the future of a new country put together by the British Colonislism and suggested a secession clause in the constitution to give guidelines and procedures for peaceful withdrawal from the Federation.

This was totally different from the civil war.
Awolowo was aversed to the civil war which was NOT about peaceful withdrawal from the Federation under any laid down rules (which a secession clause in the constitution would have achieved).

Where did Zik recommend that secession should be treasonable offense?
