and so?

So that people will begin to reach out to you for assistance quickly before they change their visa rules?

😏

And what is bad about that?
Is there anywhere it's against Nigerian constitution or is that the worst thing that has ever happened in Nigeria?
Please don't mention me again, if you want to sanitize Nigeria, go and join vigilante and start catching thieves.

Just some input...

I really don't know about the other countries you mentioned so I'll just speak for Vietnam.

When covid hit, things got bad for everyone but NES were hit the most. Why? Those guys are big flexers so do the maths.

But that's not even the issue.

In late 2021/2022 when the world started adjusting and opening their doors, that's when it became RED for teachers in Vietnam.

We were at HOME for ONE WHOLE YEAR. Guess who was affected again This time around, there was mass exodus of NES. Like the way you carry buckets to stream to fetch water, they left enmass. Also, guess who stayed strong?

To make matters worse, in that time, government started clamping down on fake visas, people entering as tourist and remaining to teach, people teaching without degrees and documents and this made both entering and return difficult for NES as well as continued exit.

My point, I honestly don't think other countries shutting down had much effect on this.

Yes experience counts. Yes accent counts (in the bigger cities), skin colour, yes ome centers will tell you that's what parents want. Others who have worked with both NES and NNES know quality and are indifferent. They look at what you have to offer and dedication which majority of them NES don't have

Also, sometimes, it's not about being paid well but about the cost of living and how much you're able to save afterwards.

Just my input

You are 100% right and I wouldn't have said it better.
God will help the incoming ones and am sure that things will be alright soon.
Thanks for your input.

NOBODY CARE ABOUT HANDSOME OR BEAUTIFUL IN VIETNAM, INASMUCH YOU ARE QUALIFIED FOR THE JOB, BUT MOST TIME WHITE SKIN PEOPLE GETS HIGHER HAND....BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN BLACK CANT TOO, AM A BLACK, I GOT PAID SAME SALARY AS WHITE, ALL NA LUCK

I read that Vietnam was better before 2021, probably before covid.
China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and most of those countries that pays Native speakers better are presently shut down and not employing and I THINK that's the reason for the high surge of NES in Vietnam, even the NES are much that there are no much spaces for the Non natives(black) but the good news is that China and those other countries that pays the NES better will soon start employing and most of the Natives will move over there.

I think you were in Vietnam when things were good and you have already had work experiences which also count for the black skin.

I read not experienced, so I stand to be corrected!

those were my dads words.he was never too comfortable with being too fast.My dad will say if u achieve what ppl should achieve at 70 while u r 30 u should also be ready to die when those that are 70 are dying. But it doesn’t really apply in all cases.

The statement is clearly making sense to me and I can now place the puzzle rightly.

My Dad died at 36 years, by then, he had us 5 children already, with assets that is so hard for most people of his age to achieve these days.
He was a good man and everybody testifies to that but he died at 36.

blame African/Nigerian society for that... so many broke legged useless married ignoramus quick to have children after marriage, even though they are not emotionally/physically/financially fit to care for these children the proper way.

i would also blame the foolish grandparents who accept to take care of these abandoned children... if it was me, i would not take care of these kids, even for one day. you had them, you take care of them! thats what BEING RESPONSIBLE tastes like.

Do you know if the aged parents/grannies are still depending on the kids' parents for a living?, if so, they will have no option than to do the Nanny/babysitting job while the kids' parents goes to look for money.
Are they expecting the kids' parents to shit out money from their nyash to be footing both their bills too?

As at now,the most educated people in Nigeria are still the Yorubas. They have been leading for decades.
They have the highest number of doctors, lawyers,Engineers etc.
Yorubas have three times the number of professors that Igbos have according to NUC.

According to the NUC website which can be accessed seamlessly by any interested researcher, there is now a shift and a takeover by the Northerners as the Igbos are pushed off the sidewalk of Professorship into the 3rd position in the rank of who has the higher number of Professors between the two educational gladiators.

SW still continues to be the stallion and champion of Education in Nigeria as the number of their Professors is almost triple that of the Igbos according to the Directory of full Professors in Nigerian Universities.
Kudos to the gallant Igbos just as the Northerners are also heralded into the second position of Professorial hierarchy in Nigeria.
Welcome.

This is the Nigeria University Commission website's link...

https://www.nuc.edu.ng/

Any news against Igbos, you guys will always use muscles to make it clear for others to see.
Igbos are poor in this, Igbos are the last in this... Kai!
So Igbos are not good in anything at all in this country according to you guys rating?
But na the same Igbos dey bring vibes and happiness in this country.

Leave story Oga,
Why was the letter still dated 2022 and the main address dated 2023?
Was it a mistake from the school?, if yes, that contributed to the rejection and you can still go back to the school today, show them the admission letter and the mistakes on it.
If the admission letter is real and there was a mistake from the school's side (which I doubt how incompetent the school would be to make such a foolish mistake), why not take the letter back to them, the way you collected it and let them do the needful.
Better leave story for another day abi you want Nairalanders to drag you, no think say because you dey Mautitius that you are out of reach bro.
