mrking3: bros!! Virtually all schools now have projectors and digital board! NO BIG DEAL About it! As far back as 2005 session, during prof. Mkpa's administration as the vice chancellor of ABSU, the school already got electronic Library, projectors in few of the classes then. I left that school in 2009. If I were still a student, would have bombarded this thread with massive impressive pictures! In terms of academics, Absu aint doing bad as well. Back then our mode of exam was MCQ marked electronically aimed at curbing exam malpractice! For pete's sake! Guys should stop using WEBOMETRICK ranking as yard stick to judge academic performance of uni's or which Uni is the best! That's the mistake most peeps do here! And please! Before saying your school is the best or whatever, make sure you have full knowledge of other schools before arriving at conclusion! Don't just sit your ass down in your room and come up with one crapy list. Before I filled my jamb form in 2003, I personally visited most universities like UNIJOS, ABU, UNICAL, LAG, MOUA, IMSU, UNIBEN, UI, LASU, before I finnaly settled for UNN and ABSU! There's nothing about this schools that I don't know!!! Digitally wise, I think UNILORIN is still ahead of any school for now! I just learnt freshers are even entitled to Free lecture Ipads and all that!
I chose FUTO over Unical and Unilag if u must know. Your point, am sorry to say is pointless. U've not been to Futo, and u still had to push it under? As for Absu, my sister graduated from absu, so I also visited the school quite often, and I can say most of you are basing your grading on few new or renovated buildings. Buildings don't only make a school, what's inside the building is very important. I remember rejecting a UniUyo admission to read computer engineering, cuz they had No computer in that dept. Hope u get my drift?
EducationRe: Top Five Universities In The South East by UcLloyd: 6:58am On Aug 15, 2014
FUTO should be 3rd on that list. Wch lecture hall look like shiit? Engineering lecture hall? Abi Sosc? Abi SMAT? Abi Hall Of Mercy? Kai! This list is full of sentiments. Imagine EBSU better than Futo? Even with the new buildings. As of this year, I was in FUTO to collect my cert, FUTO should be 3rd on that list. Is not about renovating 3 buildings oh. Asides UNN and. UNZIK, FUTO should have top the list. Been to UNN, heard scores of UNIZIK, been to EBSU. Abeg adjust that list and give FUTO it's rightful position before I vex.

PoliticsNanosilver, Ebola Cure Drug Sent To Nigeria by UcLloyd(op): 6:31pm On Aug 14, 2014
Ebola drug, Nanosilver,  arrives Nigeria today,  as brain behind drug writes Jonathan
A drug, called “Nanosilver” an  experimental drug for treatment of Ebola,  will arrive the country today, health minister Onyebuchi Chukwu, has said.

Meanwhile, it was gathered that Dr  (Mrs) Rima E. Laibow, the medical doctor behind ‘Nano Silver’  has written an open letter to President Goodluck Jonathan over the availability of the ‘cure’.

The drug, called “Nanosilver”, can now be used following the approval by the World Health Organisation (WHO) that experimental treatments are ethical in the case of the Ebola pandemic.
’.
Another experimental drug, ZMapp had been sent  to Liberia on Wednesday, while Canada has decided to donate 1,000 vaccines to the affected countries.

According to Chukwu, the experimental drug is a donation from a Nigerian scientist who was concerned about threat of Ebola in his home country. “The drug will reach Nigeria today,” he said. Chukwu disclosed that the 169 secondary contacts were still under surveillance, while in all Ebola 11 cases had been recorded, including the index case, Patrick Sawyer, and the two Nigerians who died of the disease. “
According to the founder of Nanosilver “through the use of small doses (½ teaspoonful three times per day) of 10 PPM Nano silver administered to Ebola victims, contacts and potential contacts, Ebola and other contagious diseases can be eliminated as the deadly scourges that they currently are. This potentially beneficial nutrient therapy is highly cost-effective. Nano Silver is inexpensive”.
Below is the full text of Laibows letter to Jonathan
Your Excellencies, Honorable Ministers and Esteemed Directors,

I am writing urgently to propose to you that there is good reason to believe that there already is a natural solution for, and prevention against, the terrifying novel Ebola virus for which, at this point, no effective treatment or counter measures are thought to exist. When I addressed 47 African Ministers of Health in Mombasa in 2007 I was deeply concerned about pathogens such as Avian Influenza, HIV and Ebola. At the request of the newly elected President of the organization of Ministers of Health I delivered a similar statement of hope at that time to the one that follows. There is, in fact, a well-established, non-toxic anti-microbial, without any known side effects, available at remarkably low cost which – • Requires no refrigeration • Is self-sterilizing. • Is readily available • Has a very long shelf life • Is not subject to degradation under temperature and humidity extremes. That nutrient substance is Nano Silver. The anti-viral effects of Nano Silver are well known and well established by numerous studies. The risks of Nano Silver to the environment are slim-to-none since it is comprised not of colloidal or ionic silver particles (which can show some minor toxicity) but very small metallic silver particles. Its efficacy as a non-toxic, novel anti-viral therapy which leaves normal biota intact is extremely promising: “Silver nanoparticles have mainly been studied for their antimicrobial potential against bacteria, but have also proven to be active against several types of viruses including human imuno-deficiency virus, hepatitis B virus, herpes simplex virus, respiratory syncytial virus, and monkey pox virus. The use of metal nanoparticles provides an interesting opportunity for novel antiviral therapies.” Nano silver particles interfere with binding and replication in ways which cannot lead to the development of resistant organisms: And “…silver nanoparticles exert anti-HIV activity at an early stage of viral replication, most likely as a virucidal agent or as an inhibitor of viral entry. Silver nanoparticles bind to gp120 in a manner that prevents CD4-dependent virion binding, fusion, and infectivity, acting as an effective virucidal agent against cell-free virus (laboratory strains, clinical isolates, T and M tropic strains, and resistant strains) and cell-associated virus. Besides, silver nanoparticles inhibit post-entry stages of the HIV-1 life cycle. Conclusions These properties make them a broad-spectrum agent not prone to inducing resistance that could be used preventively against a wide variety of circulating HIV-1 strains.” Silver does not induce resistance in microorganisms and this ability in Nano-size is stronger. These results have been replicated often against many organisms. In fact, no reports were found in a literature search for Nano Silver failures as a virucide. Nano Silver as a natural virucide offers the following advantages: • All evidence suggests that Nano Silver will work where vaccines do not exist or fail and are effective even when the immune system is impaired, such as in AIDS. • While there are some suggestions of mild risks to the environment, our research shows that they are unfounded and often associated with conflicts of interest since the widespread use and acceptance of Nano Silver directly threatens both the powerful vaccine and antibiotic industries. • Nano Silver is widely used around the world for its anti-microbial characteristics and is, in fact, approved by the United States FDA as a surface cleaner for hospitals, food service and other health-sensitive areas because of its notable efficacy and non-toxic profile. • Sufficient short term protection for an individual outbreak cluster is provided by the use of Nano Silver that an epidemic can be effectively prevented even after infection clusters have been established. • Therapy can be started after infection, and normal immune function, including GI flora, is left intact to assist in recovery and prevent opportunistic co-infection. • There is no longer any need to vaccinate whole world populations for control of a viral epidemic.16 • Nano Silver is stable at room temperature. • Nano Silver offers a potentially beneficial therapy against virtually all types of viruses, bacteria and other pathogens (including malaria and dengue), is self-sterilizing, reducing its cost and increasing its usefulness in challenging circumstances. • Nano Silver is a pro-immunity nutrient. Even nature uses Nano Silver, which is produced as a natural virucide by some organisms. The organism making it showed that “the viral inactivation process was increased with increasing the concentration”. The entire world grieves with you and watches in fear and hope as the terrible Ebola virus takes an increasing number of lives in your countries while your valiant people try to stem the tide. But without effective, inexpensive countermeasures, containment will, as we all know, be impossible. The recent kidnapping of an afflicted woman from a hospital in Freetown, her subsequent death, and the arrival of an Ebola victim at the airport in Lagos makes that all too apparent. Every nation on this planet is just one airplane away from a pandemic. But through the use of small doses (½ teaspoonful three times per day) of 10 PPM Nano silver administered to Ebola victims, contacts and potential contacts, Ebola and other contagious diseases can be eliminated as the deadly scourges that they currently are. This potentially beneficial nutrient therapy is highly cost-effective. Nano Silver is inexpensive. One final note: even if Nano Silver did have the minor toxic profile incorrectly imputed to it, the risks are so small compared to the dangers of a viral epidemic with a 90% mortality rate that they would be irrelevant in this context. Vaccine adverse effects are well characterized and are deemed irrelevant in public health schemes. Their dangers are vastly greater than that of Nano silver, if any such risks do exist for this nano-virucide. Happily, the toxic profile is virtually non-existent, as the millennia-long record of its safety in its uses foods and other sensitive areas shows. “Small particles of silver have a long history as general antiseptic and disinfectant.” The Natural Solutions Foundation, an international NGO with a history of projects in Benin, Panama, Chile and the United States, stands ready to assist you in your efforts in any way possible. Our Nano Silver Pro-Immunity Protocol is available upon request. I await your response.

Yours in health and freedom, Rima E. Laibow, MD  Medical Director,  Natural Solutions Foundation

hischoice: Jesus Christ of Nazareth!
How could anyone be so confidently gabbling trash?
Three of Nigeria's five first-generation universities award Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees in their faculties of Engineering (or Technology) - UI, OAU and UNILAG (ABU and UNN award B.Eng).

Is there any one university in Nigeria with more recent NUC and COREN accreditation than those three? OAU has 9 fully accredited academic programmes in that Faculty, UI has eight, UNILAG - nine with on-going accreditation for BSc Biomedical Engineering.

Haba, bros sufry sufry lie nah. And you did it with some distinctive and stylish elegance. On the positive side, you would most likely daze interviewers - with you confidence in ignorance.
U are the confused one here. Do u even know the full meaning of B.sc? How can u say an Engineering course of 5yrs is awarded B.sc after completion in Nigeria? I thought u're drunk or something till I read this post of urs. Haba! an accredited engineering dept graduate goes home with B.Eng mister. Stop confusing people cuz is no longer funny. If ur certificate says B.sc, u had better rush back to ur school for serious explanation. We have B.tech and B.Eng. Jesus Christ, wetin pesin no go see for nairaland ni! Wayo!!!!

Abagworo: Go to Owerri and say this nonsense inside a "Keke", then come back and report here. Chris Anyanwu's reputation has long been damaged in Owerri by her opponents (not Rochas). She is touted to have rented apartments for young boys who sleep with her for gifts. That alone is not recoverable in Igboland as it is considered abomination for a married woman. Nigeria is not America.
Keke riders? Seriously? Okada riders, as u know make up 80% of owerri keke driver. So that's where u base your info and judgement? onyem, people speculate and lie, who gives two fuc.ks kwanu.
PoliticsRe: Senator Chris Anyanwu Disgraced Today At 'oru Owerri' by UcLloyd: 4:12pm On Aug 03, 2014
berem: It is only on Nairaland that Rochas is being hated especially by Igbos who are not from Imo State.
My good friend who is from Owerri told me about this incident and I couldn't believe it not until I clicked on this thread.
Anyone who hates Rochas, its either because he joined APC or because they are not benefitting financially from his government.

Carry go Rochas,na only you we know for Imo State!! cool
Chris Anyawu will give rochas a run for his money. Have u forgotten what she did ohakim with Hot FM during the last election? If u know Chris and u can tell yourself the truth, u will know if that truly happened, is a rented crowd. Rochas will have to rig imo elections to win in 2015. The only gullible voters he will get fair and square are village old women, buh don't worry, other contestants will re-wash their heads when is time. Rochas is on the brink of leaving Douglas house. U better look for a new pay master.
PoliticsRe: Senator Chris Anyanwu Disgraced Today At 'oru Owerri' by UcLloyd: 4:05pm On Aug 03, 2014
If not for Imo Youths, Ohakim would have won last election with a wide margin like he boasted. They youths laid down their lives to protect their votes for rochas not knowing his a fraud. They same youths are ready to lay down their lives to make sure Rochas is not brought back. If u doubt me, go and do an opinion polls. Reason: fake imo youths must work jobs, fake free education up to university level, china roads. and his even opening routes, so he can loot more money with 100% China roads. Just to let u know am imo to the bones, I schooled in Police Children School Orlu Road n Futo Ihiagwa....and to berem, after Mbakwe, the best Gov we had was Udenwa, ask New Owerri, Orlu residents and Imo state civil servants.
PoliticsRe: Senator Chris Anyanwu Disgraced Today At 'oru Owerri' by UcLloyd: 3:49pm On Aug 03, 2014
Gozzzy: Whoever is thinking that Rochas is a fraud, is obviously delusional!!!! Rochas is so far, the best governor, that Imo State have gotten in recent time. He has the grass root support. Whenever he comes to okigwe, he fearlessly mingles with the crowd, as they troop to greet him. The best thing that can happen to a govt is to have the entire or majority of the populace in support of that govt. Haters can take a 21days trip to liberia!
Which okigwe? I be well rooted okigwe and u are a liar. If I tell u my surname, u will know am from okigwe. Okigwe can never root for rochas, they feel their mandate was stolen. So next time u want to lie, do your homework.
