Oga have you ever heard about America's 'New Deal'? The great infrastructure project that was enacted by FD Roosevelt, during the great depression that basically helped rescue Americans from poverty by creating jobs and stimulating their economy. That deal alone set a precedent for great infrastructural development in America.

All the billionaires in america are the biggest beneficiaries of good infrastructure directly /indirectly;

- Their employees use public roads to commute to and from work
- They themselves use public infrastructure (be it roads, rails, and airports)
- They use public infrastructure to transport their goods (Amazon definitely is grateful for good roads)
- Their customers wouldn't enjoy products too if it weren't for good infrastructure.

Infrastructure is possibly the fastest and easiest way to stimulate and grow an economy while also creating jobs. Checkout this video below about the US's crumbling infrastructure and former trump adviser Daniel Slanes' take on it. 3:17 mark

Focusing on infrastructure is like eating all your corn. Investing in people is like planting corn.

If you eat your corn it is finished. If you take seeds from it and plant, you continue having more corn.

This is where America gets money.

It was done with American Knowledge/Human Capital and Financial Capital, American steel, American power etc
They did not bankrupt themselves to do it

Today we are using almost all our revenue to pay debt and a lot of that is in foreign currency

America ONLY borrows in dollars which means their economy was STRONG ENOUGH to carry the debt
How much does twitter and Facebook generate from Nigeria?

Did they get here by road? Microsoft was created in a garage. Just computer, no road. America is wealthy today because or the people they invested in.

Those companies grew and are paying tax.

The road to from kaduna to Abuja is smooth, but people are scared to travel on that road, because of bandits.

Is it lack of infrastructure that created the bandits?

If those bandits had good education and were given grants after school, would they be bandits?

Its people that make a country and not q country that makes people.

Even the infrastructure you are talking about, isn't it education that enabled the manufacturers of those equipment used to build roads?

The tractors, caterpillar etc .

Every reason business man borrow to build infrastructure before take off of the commercial activities

Nigeria is a poor country because of lack of infrastructure that can drive and support SME to grow.

Thanks
The countries we borrow from, where did they get to build theirs?

Where did America get money for infrastructure?

Your understanding is shallow, educating you on the importance of infrastructure in economic stability wont be easy task

This has been my area of research over the years,

The discouraging factor to many investors in Nigeria and Africa is lack of infrastructure not market place or entrepreneurship mindset.

Critically reason this
You with high understanding. Those countries we go to borrow from to build infrastructure, where did they get the money to build theirs?

Isnt it from tax generated from company's that grew ?

Pls if there is no light to power your sms how are u going to growth, if there is no road how are going to moved your goods to market, and if you can't sell your goods how are you going to growth.if airport is not working how people will moved around.if rail is not work how are you going to meet up with important meating at abuja or lagos.infactructure first,China build there infacturcture first,India are building Brazil,Dubai all this countriess are building there infacturcture.AKwa ibom is good example of how infacturcture can build your economy....
You will have goods first before moving. If you have no goods, how do you pay back loans?

Agriculture did better when there was security. Now there is more infrastructure and the production is lowered.

Electricity is also part of the SME. Startups can be funded to generate electricity and supply their locality.

See how much has been borrowed and spent on electricity. Do we have steady power?

Here is a quote from former American president.....America has good roads not because America is rich, America is rich because it has good roads.

This sums it up.
Lol. How much of the roads did mark Zuckerberg use to become great? How much of the roads did bill gates use to develop Microsoft in his garage? If you build roads from lagos to sambisa forest, will that increase the number of cars on them?

Don't people still need money to buy cars to drive on the roads?

America has roads, yet the billionaires in America are not road contractors, but people that developed thier talents and ability.

Show me top 10 billionaires in America and lets see how many are road contractors.

America developed its people first before infrastructure.

Even this nairaland, is it a product of infrastructure or human development?
Politics › Re: If Not Infrastructure, Then What - Femi Adesina by udele1: 9:15am On Aug 13, 2021
He is 100 right. With the infrastructure in Northern Nigeria what did it produce? Terrorism, crippling the nations economy.

Why? Because the north did not invest in the people.

If the US government did not give grants to the likes of Bill gates during their startup, would Microsoft be generating such revenue for US today? Same goes with steve jobs, mark Zuckerberg, etc.

These individuals are worth more than Nigerias GDP, and national assets.

They ar3 generating more money in US than any infrastructure.

Have all the wonderful infrastructure and having people begging and rubbing on them is not wise.

Dont forget that in developed countries private sector even build and maintain infrastructure.

So who says government cant fund a small startup construction company ?

While startups grow to become world brands in developed countries, only government contractors and politicians become great in Nigeria.

Thats why our billionaires dont write books to inspire the youths. Because somewhere is the hiden corrupt hands of government in thier rise .

You must invest in education and SME. China generates so much from Export by SME's. Government then builds infrastructure from tax generated from the companies.

Let the Nigeria government allow a South East referendum so we can confirm those in the South East that needs Biafra.

All MAZI NNAMDI KANU is asking for is Biafra referendum
Go and conduct the one in SS first, before puting them in your Biafran Map.

Hustler,

Any body that disagrees with you is automatically an IPOB.

For your information I am not an IPOB member. I only believe in the self determination of the Biafran people, which MAZI NNAMDI KANU stands for.

You are nothing but a paid agent doing what he is paid to do
grin grin grin Ungrateful IPOB. This is the thank you, you will tell me for lecturing you.

Its this same foolish pride that got your supreme in trouble.

This is how Ike Ekweremadu them helped him come out, and they paid him back with beating.

Now he is here again looking for igbo leaders to come and bring him out again. Una go sit at home tire. grin grin

Hustler,

But did UK consider to grant IPOB asylum or not?
So you don't have any list. grin grin . You will pay me for all this lecture. Kanu will not damage your brain, and i will repair it for free.

The UK did not say if you are a member of IPOB come and live in UK .

If you are in UK seeking asylum, and you can prove that the Nigerian government is going to persecute you on return for being a member of IPOB, then your story can be considered with evidence.

Now kanu has even destroyed their chances with terrorism. He wants them to remain the thr camps and be sending him money. cheesy grin

They even become great with Migrants from other countries. But we can't manage just language and culture.

Its not the language, its the nature of the blackman. The more whites become rich, the more the go into charity. The more the blackman becomes rich, the more they want to intimidate others.

Waiting for Biafrans to come and tell us that Biafra will be a great nation with only Igbo's. Sorry Igbo's + Niger detla by force.

Telling us the reason they are not successful is because Nigeria hates them. Then they travel to countries that look like the paradise they claim Biafra will be. Then guess what they do.

Then come back and call Nigeria a zoo, saying Ghana is better than Nigeria. Ghananians travel to dubai visa free.
