ALSO, WHILE YOU ARE WAITING FOR CUSTOMERS TO BUY UP THE 900PIECES THAT CAME THROUGH, IT COULD TAKE EXTRA 1 MONTH, AND YOU WILL STILL BE FEEDING THEM WHILE YOU WAIT .

ITS EVEN LESS PROFITABLE THAN I ESTIMATED, ITS A TYPE OF BUSINESS THAT YOU WILL HAVE TO INVEST HEAVILY INTO TO MAKE MONEY OUT OF IT, OR YOU DO IT IN YOU BACHYARD FOR YOUR OWN USE.

SO NEXT TIME A YOUNG HUSTLING NIGERIAN SAYS HE HAS 500K AND LOOKING FOR WHAT TO INVEST IN , PLEASE LET THEM KNOW HOW MUCH THEY WILL MAKE IN THE FIRST 6MONTHS OF THEIR BUSINESS ASSUMING THEY INVESTED THAT 500K IN FISH FARMING. TELL THEM THAT THEY MIGHT NOT MAKE UP TO 20K IN THE FIRST 6 MONTHS.

Alright sir. So when are they likely to make the profit? Cos am a victim of this already. I raised 500 fishes in 3 months and made N10,000.

I remember we had a chat on whatsapp, first of all wash the pond thoroughly the picture of the pond you sent to me showed the pond is too dirty, increasing your water level a bit to give the fishes more space. More so stop throwing the feed on all four corners of the pond it pollutes the water hence the smell and also reduces dissolve oxygen. Apply spot feeding choose a particular spot to feed the feed. Am pretty sure the offensive smell will reduce drastically. Cheers boss

When I started, i was changing water once in two weeks cos the water wasn't even smelling annd the fishes were comfortable.
After one month, I decided to roof the pond with zink and chicken net. Since then, I now change water every 4 days cos of the offensive smell that disturb the next compound where I stay.
So I want to know if it's the roofing that has caused this problem or do fishes normally Smell this way?

just for clearity, frm d original post, was he saying he is stocking each of the 6 pond 10*10*4ft wt 1000 fish or its total stocking for all d ponds?

He's said each of the six ponds will contain 1000 fishes from fingerlings to table size
