Thanks a lot for the reply. And you said the truth :

I’ve been thinking I’m too old to apply for a bachelor’s degree.

But here’s why I didn’t want to go straight to a masters :

I studied chemistry, but ended up a self taught software engineer. It was my hatred for chemistry that pushed me to learn development. ( Thank God I did ) cos I almost dropped out.

Now I’m done schooling but I won’t be able to access my transcript and the likes for atleast the next one year. I attended a federal school and the backlog is crazy. So applying for a masters right away is far fetched for me atm, cos I don’t even have my credentials at hand.

My plan was to attempt going for a second degree and my argument this time would be cos of my change in career. But wasn’t sure that’s why I again considered the visit route

I’ve been working as a software engineer for like the last 22 months plus and this is what I want to build my career around not chemistry.

So I don’t know if this will make sense for me to apply for a second bachelors but this time for software engineering major because that’s something I’m sure I want to build my career around now. I’ve been working in the field for the last almost 2 years. ( I was working while schooling) so I’m certain this what I want to do for another 10 years to come.

So what would you suggest I do

Hey !

The numbers of time you have been denied has nothing to do with every new application because circumstances and intention or purposes changes .

If i were you and i have the resources , at age 26 i will stay put on the route of the F1 visa and apply for MSc ..or Bsc if you only have WAEC. don't bother about age 26 going for Bsc ..purpose and gimmicks are the important things ...But your best alternative for F1 visa is MSc in a Public Research University.

2. If going for F1 student will be financially expensive for you or you just don't want to do the wahala of an F1 visa again, then FIND A GOOD CONFERENCE IN YOUR AREA OF WORK and apply to . IT IS BETTER THAN ANYONE SENDING YOU AN INVITATION LETTER ESPECIALLY NON FAMILY MEMBER OR NON BUSINESS PARTNER .

The rest remains on how well you input your info on DS 160. Your sponsor . Your ties to Nigeria . And how well you prepare for your interview Q and Answers.

There is God..Don't give up.
Cheers .

Is this open to just anyone. Like I can try it myself and it could work for me ?

Also I have a question that’ll need your advice on :

Here’s a brief about me :

I’m 26 y/o now. I traveled to India in 2009 and Ghana in like 2015 or so. So in my DS-160 it’s obvious I can’t put I’ve been outside the country cos I can’t fill I’ve been anywhere in the last 5 years

Now I’ve been denied 3 times at the US embassy. 2 happened in 2014 for a B1/B2 visa that I went with my mum, tho I was under 18. I only got questioned in one of the interviews and I messed it up big time. Then the other one, they didn’t ask me anything.

The final one was in 2021 for F1 visa. I was denied again I applied for an undergrad course sha.

Now I want to try the visit route again and I want to do it myself. I work as a Software engineer and I’m thinking of the best way I can do this. I don’t have any direct relative in the US, but I’m in talks with some distant relatives and I don’t know if I should be asking them for an invitation. I definitely need hand holding and from your experience I don’t know if I can get that from you or if there’s anyone you can point me to.

I understand to a large extent how these things work but I need guidance on how I can put forward a stronger application altogether.

Hi. Guys, please I'm going for an undergraduate degree and I'm using a company acct- it's actually a family business that my dad and his brother started, But my uncle runs the company now. Please what follow up questions can come in relation to my sponsor and also documents that prove it's a family business
