Unilorin lecturers like a lot of lecturers in the country are well known for this and many other corrupt practices including sex for marks! And their fellow colleagues do what ever they can to cover up.

One thing I know is that if you call him he will always pretend to be kind, but please ask him how many Pgd, Msc or Phd that has finished has been able to claim statement of result or certificatr fore the last 2 years that he has been HOD

Statistics Department of University of Ilorin had been the most efficient, productive, and enviable department of University of Ilorin before late 2015 when Prof. B. L. Adeleke (08055401457) became its Head of Department (HOD). Postgraduate Student especially Msc student who enrolled in the department before this said time finished, obtained their certificate and and convocation within a year of enrollment provided no more than one carry-over courses (and if there were, they make it up the following year). please if you have benefited such privileged from this department comment to praise your HOD then. In fact, this department has shown the glory of the university in such a way that if you think of enrolling for Postgraduate course in Statistics in Nigeria and its environs, every finger pointed to the department.

But now that Prof. B. L. Adeleke (08055401457) became the HOD He has change the story of the Department of Statistics in University of Ilorin mess, I mean mess based on the following reasons:

1. He has only forwarded one Msc candidate (AHMED Ibrahim) within his more than 2 years of been the HOD. any body can check the order of proceeding of the just concluded convocation ceremony and that of last year to confirm.

2. He brought out list of 14 Msc students that successfully finished their program in 2016 But will he has never signed the certification pages of their thesis and also their clearance form as the HOD for them to proceed their clearance up till now.

3. He purposely the assignment of supervisors for the Pgd Statistics student of 2015/2016 section towards September that made their programe to extend to 2 year program instead of 1, if no carry over costing all of them complete school fees for the second year.

4. Yes, the Pgd Statistics student of 2015/2016 section had to pay extra school fees by November 2016 yet their result and clearance sheet are all still on the HOD table up till now without forwarding it to necessary office to make their results available for them to use either for further study, or for better placement at work places.

5. He has caused delay for the Msc Statistics student of 2015/2016 section (a program that should ordinarily should have ended by May 2017 is still on) by not scheduling both internal and external defense for the student until after the second year and up till now some still pending.

6. He scheduled internal defense and external defense for some the Pgd Statistics student of 2015/2016 section on 26th and 27th of September 2017 up till now he has not released the thesis for correction and to continue for clearance.

7. He keep mute on the rest of the Msc Statistics student of 2015/2016 section on their internal and external thesis defense claiming they failed some course while they did not (every one has checked his courses results only 3 student out of 22 students he stopped from this examination did not pass). When ever the students approach him he shout on them that they have bad lock and that is all.

8. He has over 70 Msc and over 40 Pgd students' files on his table since been HOD pilling up which he has not cleared even 1 since 2 years.

One would think the the PG coordinator of the department have in it but it is not true, He has even sidelined the PG coordinator and entrusts his accomplice one Dr Oyeyemi (08068241885) in the same department to handle the duties of the coordinator only to take every valid document that needs be signed to the real coordinator.

Please give suggestion that can liberate people from this man and his his accomplice, one Dr Oyeyemi (08068241885) in the same department because he will always brag that we have to wait till he finish his tenure which is about a year more. As far as I wish, I WISH HE CEASE TO BE THE HOD OF THAT DEPARTMENT HENCE FORTH (the two of them can never change) because we need to tender the certificate for better job placement or for further studies, But the way to achieve this is hard.

If you call their phone they will claim innocence and pretend to be 9ice but they are never, it is a purported act of wickedness.

Please if you know how to get this as petition without revealing the writer the Vic Chancellor of the University of Ilorin or to the best autority that will bring result without delay (you all know corruption fight back) please suggest or do.

The department of Statistics University of Ilorin is great but Prof. B. L. Adeleke (08055401457) the Head of Department of Statistics Department of University of Ilorin and his accomplice, one Dr Oyeyemi (08068241885) in the same department need to be caution or removed from been HOD (because they can never change)
