It's your Bible. Everyone has their own interpretations to suit whatever aids their interest. For me, if I were still a Chrisitian, I'd be more bothered about Obadiah's exegesis than whatever gay Christians may be up to.

sKeetz when something is wrong, it's wrong. The church today may be open to change and reforms, but that doesn't suddenly make 'sin' ok and it's insulting to more emotional people who don't want to identified by the same word with people who 'sin' and are comfortable in that state.

We have 20 rules guiding every nairaland member and these rules are meant to help achieve the objectives of both members and management. Careful scrutiny of those rules would reveal that they do not offend any religion or irreligion whether directly or indirectly.

The religion section as you already know is not just for Christians and as such it would be inappropriate to see it as a 'Christian only' section. I don't think you were made a mod of this section by mistake. I am quite sure that God wanted you to be mod.

Leaving would only mean that you are refusing to do the work God has entrusted to you. Where would Christianity be today if Paul had rejected the call of Christ to preach to the gentiles?

I know that God can raise stones from the ground to do his bidding but the point here is that he chose YOU to do it. Allowing Justice, equity and fairness to guide you here is not the same as turning your back on God.

Remember that Christ had to mingle with the so called "Sinners" to get to understand their ways and be better able to evangelize them. If you see any direct and genuine insult on the person of Christ, it is your job to hide that post and warn the culprit.

Allowing Gay threads is not against the rules and I am very sure that Christ would want us to show love to them. If we kick them out, how then do we show them the errors in their ways?? Please, I ask you as a friend and a brother to reconsider your position and allow God be your guide.

I agree with this. Inasmuch as I consider homosexuality a sin, Christians have been called to love both sinners and godly people alike. Chasing 'sinners' away won't save their soul you know but loving them will. I don't like the idea of that thread bearing the name 'Christian Gay' cos I believe there's nothing Christian-ly about being gay, but then it's a community forum and if Seun says this is a religious section then anyone here can decide to give themselves some wacky title and still co-exist with others.

Honestly if Ajibam can't stand what this section is turning into, then he should be allowed to quit in peace. It's more sinful to believe something as iniquity and yet constantly deliberately behold it in the name of moderating. #Myonekobo
