And now Akwa Ibom, a state that for over a decade stood as the eastern corridor’s vanguard of growth, risks being lobotomized—its strategic edge dulled by party loyalty over public service. I’m genuinely alarmed.

Thank God Enugu, Abia, and Anambra haven’t bent the knee to the center cancer. That disalignment is a strange blessing—it keeps governors alert, uncomfortable, and thus accountable. Because when re-election isn't guaranteed by party machinery, performance becomes the only real currency.
