2017/2018 POST-UTME SCREENING

 

The University of Port Harcourt hereby invites candidates who chose the University as First and/or Second choice in the 2017 Unified Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtained a minimum score of 180, to apply for Screening Exercise for admission into the University.

 

The University shall not admit candidates into Geology in the 2017/2018 session.  Candidates who chose Geology as their programme of study are hereby informed that they could be admitted into other/related areas of study, subject to acceptable performance.  They are to contact JAMB for change of course or change of Institution for admission into Geology.  The Schedule of the Screening Exercise is as indicated below:

IMPORTANT DATES AND SCREENING REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

 

Eligible First Choice candidates to input UTME Registration Number and confirm pre-loaded UTME details.  Second Choice candidates to complete Online Application Form.Print slip for paymentProceed to any of the following Banks (with e-Transact platform) and make payment of N2,000.00 (Excluding Bank and Access Charges, Processing Fee and Result checking) FIDELITY BANK PLC, UBA PLC, FIRST BANK PLC, ACCESS BANK PLC, ECOBANK PLC, FCMB AND UNIPORT-CHOBA MICROFINANCE BANK.Obtain an e-Transact receipt showing an access code from the Bank Teller confirming the payment.Proceed back online and Login with your UTME Registration Number and the Access Code on the payment slip, from Wednesday, 6thSeptember, 2017.Complete the Form online as requested.Upload your passport photograph with red background not more than 1 x 1 inch.Click on the “submit button” and print Photo Card for the Screening Exercise clearanceNote the date and time of Screening on the Photo Card.

 

CANDIDATES WHO FAIL TO REGISTER WITHIN THE REGISTRATION PERIOD WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SCREENING EXERCISE.



MATERIALS NEEDED FOR POST-UTME SCREENING EXERCISE

 

Candidates are required to come with the following:

A clear copy of the photo Card printed online and pen.A photocopy of O’Level Examination Certificate(s) (WASCE, GCE, NECO, NABTEB) and Birth Certificate or Affidavit of Age Declaration.

 

NOTE:

Inconsistency in name or picture on Photo Card will not be acceptable to the University and may lead to disqualification of affected candidates.  Candidates’ names on their O’Level Certificates, UTME results and other registration documents must be the same.Candidates must be sixteen (16) years of age and above by October, 2017 to be eligible for the exercise.Mobile Phones, Ipad, Ipod, Walkman and similar gadgets or any extraneous materials will not be allowed into the Screening Venue and its environs.Candidates must apply within the Registration period as the online link for the Application Form will be disabled at MID-NIGHT ON MONDAY, 11THSEPTEMBER, 2017.Candidates must report to the designated Screening Venues at the time scheduled on the Photo Card or risk disqualification.PARENTS AND GUARDIANS, AS WELL AS UNINVITED SECURITY AGENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE CAMPUS ON THE DAYS OF THE SCREENING EXERCISE.For Technical support services during registration, send an email to:This email address is being protected from spambots. OK, I have received calls from many Candidates within and outside Uniport to confirm if Uniport 2017 screening form is out!
Please beware of fraudsters, Uniport form is not yet out.

Although form may be out shortly, I advice you to be calm while waiting and avoid falling victim.

Nevertheless, It is worth noting that post utme is a thing of the past, hence admission is strictly based on your JAMB qualification and SSCE. Based on this, many who had lower scores have drawn my attention to inquire the possible course that would admit them with their jamb score and as much as possible, I have been able to give orientation to many on what they need to know before thinking of changing.

Your number one agenda should consider how you can change your life and extend the change to your younger ones

Developing your inbuilt abilities is one thing that can specify and give certainty to your days after graduation.

Many challenges lies ahead but what you do, where you live, where you go to, and the kind of friends you make are the major determinants of the kind of challenges you face aside academics and financial challenges.

what strategies have you put in place?

I was once here! Its not a surprise to me seeing different kinds of post, argument, threat, encouragement, & etc. One thing is sure! The truth is always the truth no matter what. Your post utme scores or admission status cannot be changed here, if u wil be admitted you wil see ur name in uniport list. So just belief on what God have to say about your admission not what uniport said beCause God can break the rules of uniport admission and somebody who do not pass the cutoff will gain admission.

Concerning tajud & soundtruth. The both of them have a point but something is just complicated. Concerning those who are going to admission office: one man will go and meet somebody who will tell him one and another will go who will meet another person who will also tell him another. My advice to all the aspirant is that, if you are still in doubt of your admission in uniport and you have an alternative, dont hesitate to go for it. Instead of putting your eggs in a basket that cannot carry them. In my own time which is last year. Second list was for first choice and high scoring second choice, which means it was for both. Things are changing......

Big thanks to u. Olucheye and winners for d advice. But now. Should i continue wit the physio, then switch in 200lv? If yes how do i go about it? What are d criterials. Is it 95% dat it wil work?. Or should i just wait for d next jamb. Cos there is no too much money to waste. Thank u once again cos people said experience is d best teacher. But i say: true information given by an experienced person is d best teacher. If not of this trend i would hav jump into fire all in d name of medical related course. O my God! What hav i caused myself? Cos of the fear of admission i went to change my course from pharmacy to physiology cos of my jamb score thinkin it would lead me to sometin. Now i was among d candidates dat did well in post utme which they would hav offer admission in pharmacy. But now i hav found myself in physio. What should i do now. I think i should better leave d admission and just wait for next jamb. I'm just too confused now.
