Igbo = drug pushing

Yoruba = card fraud, yahooze, general 419     (Yorubas too have extensive drug trafficking networks a la the Isale Eko connection)

Malo = street begging (almajirci) suicide bombing, perpetration of violent religious conflict as a means of political control, divine authority stealing (in the name of religion, like, 'Allah put him there, it is Allah's will' when everyone knows the dude in question is incompetent, at the same time busy stealing his people blind)

Edo = Commercial 'to.to' industry (Italo, Central European theatre of operations)

Feel free to bash me all you want, as long as we cannot examine ourselves objectively because we are politically correct, we cant even start solving the existing problems.

Police methods at Zurich airport are now under scrutiny

Switzerland has halted special flights to deport asylum seekers after a Nigerian man on hunger strike died on the tarmac at Zurich airport.

Swiss police say they had shackled the 29-year-old man, who was being forcibly deported along with 15 other Nigerians whose asylum bids had been rejected.

When he fell ill on Wednesday the police took off his shackles and a doctor tried in vain to revive him.

Swiss authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.

Police said they had shackled the man because he had resisted deportation.

Two Nigerian witnesses quoted by the Swissinfo news website accused the police of inhumane treatment.

"They treated us like animals," said one, called Emmanuel.

"They shackled our feet, knees, hands, hips, arms and torso and made us wear a helmet like those worn by boxers. It was simply impossible to move," he said.

The man who died was a drug-dealer who had been on hunger strike for several days.

It is the third such death in Switzerland since 1999.

Last year there were 43 special repatriation flights from Switzerland, deporting some 360 people, mostly to the Balkans or Africa, Swissinfo reports.

Hi all,

New to nairaland and really have been impressed with how enterprising Nigerians can be.

Since the banks there are just rip ups charging ridiculous aprs as much as 20%, I wanna partner with people who have solid ideas.

I reside in UK and if you have the ideas to bring the dough, we could all partner and reason together to rake in the cash.

Realistic ideas will be welcome and this is open to discussion, I am taking my cue from startups.co.uk.

i can't believe you guys talking about drug dealing can't see what really happened here.

Those guys were being deported in inhumane conditions, shackled head, arms, feet and hips, and also made to wear a helmet. The unfortunate 29 year old who had enough dignity to protest that kind of treatment died along the way.

The drug dealer thing was to smear his person, and to cast public eyes off the things they have been doing.

This kind of treatment is inexcusable.
