CFCfan: The PDP are also holding their national convention at Eagle Square. So the APC had to look for an alternative venue. Oh, now I see. But could have been moved to another day cus the idea of Lagos makes the party look like a regional party. Well, let the best candidate win! |

This is someone APC is now looking up to as a father for advice, I wonder what would be of them if they take over power with an adviser like baba.

If jonathan hadn't brought in ethnoreligious politicking, we wouldn't have been having this conversation.
Jonathan is a total disaster. You sir is the disaster here. A simple google search should have helped u but no, you rather start shouting Jonathan this, Jonathan that, just for the desperation of power you lot dont mind if people get killed due to the incitive comment made by this deluded group. Anything is fine once Jonathan name is seen in bad light for you. I wonder what hole you emanate from. |

omenka: Can we all see the depth of division and religious cynicism Jonathan has entrenched in this country??
Jonathan has caused such huge trauma to the Nigerian psyche its gonna take eons to heal!! These were things that pre-date this administration but were totally inconsequential in the scheme of things.
We've had leaders of both faiths before Jonathan, NO ONE ever talked about things like these, now, they've become the only things talked about simply because we landed ourselves a president too naiive to understand that politics and religion are two volatile elements that shouldn't be mixed!!
Jonathan came in and has done every single thing infuse into every Nigerian the consciousness of the difference between a Northerner and a Southerner, a Christian and a Muslim, an Igbo man and a Hausa or Yoruba man!! He has NEVER DONE ANYTHING to make people see the ties that bind them!! This is Jonathan's LEGACY!!
Woe unto anyone who supports the continuation of such glaring disaster!! You are pathetic!!! Can you pls tell what is the meaning of that symbol in Jew? Just cus your co traveller called it a jewish symbol makes it one. If at all it is one, what is the meaning? That is not even Star of David to start with... Anumanu |

If this is how and what you understand by the dollar rise against naira then your economic clueless has no rival and it makes me wonder who truly should be called clueless all the names your laptop gang call the President.

This is simple economics matrices. We are in a season when importation is at its peak and more people are going into importation business, this does not help our foreign exchange, its simple demand and supply from basic economics coupled with the oil price dive

A7: Why y'all bums all crazy on rushing to create redundant threads about GmB lately? That's stupi.d you know.
What makes it even more stupid is the dullard that started this thread have no idea on what he just pasted, even though the message was written in simple english he still can't comprehend kwankwaso's statement. Funny you. It is very acceptable to open a thread about GEJ and the PDP but once its about the manipulations going on in APC it gets to your silly nerves. GMB just declared for presidency, he should get ready for more scrutiny. He should get a lil dose of what GEJ has been getting, that should be fair. Then on the issue at hand, Kwankwaso is a very stubborn man that can't be rode like other sheep at the APC, if Shekarau could stand up to GMB and make him abandon ANPP to form CPC, Kwankwaso would give him more heat. Don't underate Kano politicians. |

barcanista: What is the government trying to keep away from public eyes? How much more low can you go? Quoting an article of March 2012? Ndume and his Northern cronies are sinking men that wants all man down with them. The government is already in a volatile situation, in as much as I want Ndume and whoever that is involved in this mess prosecuted openly, we have to be analyse their statements and testimonies critically. Also from this quote “It is becoming apparent that the recent replacement of Service Chiefs is part of President Jonathan’s plan to use state apparatus to scale the 2011 presidential hurdle. “Anything short of a Northern President is tantamount to stealing our Presidency. Jonathan has to go and he will go. Even if he uses the incumbency power to get his nomination on the platform of the PDP, he would be frustrated out.” “The North is determined, if that happens, to make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan or any other Southerner who finds his way to the seat of power on the platform of the PDP against the principle of the party’s zoning policy.". I think it is safe to say that the North knows much more about Boko haram than GEJ do right? Then again you call Kaita a PDP founding father all in your effort to link GEJ to the mess but you conveniently forgot that OBJ who is more prominent in PDP than Kaita can ever be in his whole misery is now a sympathizer of APC, Atiku also an APC card carrying member and thousands of them? So, what is then the difference between both? I see you have tagged all your follow foot soldiers to help you out. Get a hate therapy son! |

I don't get it, is it that reading is now too difficult or understanding a mirage? Even mynd44 a supposed mod and some supposed intellectuals that don't miss the opportunity to call a sitting president names can move on this lane. Jezz! You lot need to read the article again and slowly this time. Funny most commentators just read first two comments and make conclusions. Let me help out here: TheIndustrialist: South African authorities have seized another US$5.7 million arms money from Nigeria, just three weeks after the $9.3 million cash transported by two Nigerians and an Israeli for arms purchase, South Africa-based City Express reported Monday. . As with the first deal, South Africa’s Asset Forfeiture Unit of the National Prosecuting Authority seized the $5.7 million (about N952 million) for allegedly being the proceeds of illegal transactions, the paper said. The news came more than two weeks after two Nigerians and an Israeli national were arrested in South Africa after they attempted to smuggle US$9.3 million apparently meant for buying arms for the Nigerian intelligence service. . The men landed at Lanseria International Airport, Johannesburg, on September 5 in a private jet from Abuja with the money stashed in three suitcases. At the time, the South Africa Revenue Service, SARS, said customs officers became suspicious when the passengers’ luggage were unloaded and put through the scanners. . The National Prosecuting Authority, NPA, in South Africa said there was an invoice for helicopters and armaments intended to be used in Nigeria. Two black plastic suitcases, filled with 90 blocks each containing US$100,000 in notes, with combination locks, were seized, as well as two pieces of hand luggage also containing US currency, according to City Press. The Israeli national, Eyal Mesika, had the combination to open the locks. Under South African laws, a person entering or leaving the country is expected to carry cash not exceeding US$2,300, or the equivalent in foreign currency notes. .
The South African newspaper, City Press, said documents in its possession show that the first consignment was personally signed off by the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who issued the end-user certificate for the transaction. An entire “shopping list” was supplied with the certificate, which included everything from helicopters to unmanned aircraft, rockets and ammunition, it said. The latest transaction, according to the paper, was between Cerberus Risk Solutions, an arms broker in Cape Town, and Societe D’Equipments Internationaux, said to be a Nigerian company based in Abuja. The paper said the deal fell apart after Cerberus which had earlier received from Nigeria R60 million (N1.02 billion) in its account at Standard Bank, tried to repay the money as it it could not resolve its registration formalities with the South African authorities. “Cerberus was previously registered as a broker with the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC), but the registration expired in May this year,” City Press said. “The marketing and contracting permits also expired at the same time. The company has since applied for re- registration, but the application lay in the NCACC’s mailbox for more than two months.
“Sources told Rapport that Cerberus apparently tried to pay the money back to the Nigerian company, after which the bank became suspicious,” the paper reported.
The paper added that while the NPA’s Asset Forfeiture Unit subsequently obtained a court order in the South Gauteng High Court to seize the money, the NPA spokesperson Nathi Mncube, said there were no indications the two transactions were related. “However, both are now the subject of a criminal investigation and all possible information and connections are being investigated,” Mr. Mncube was quoted as saying.
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/10/south-africa-seizes-another-5-7-m-nigerian-arms-deal/ There is a huge difference between the first deal which Dasuki issued a certificate and "shopping list" for and which involved two Nigerians and an Isreali which they carried cash into the SA and this deal in which the money was paid to the SA company Cerberus RiskSolutions, an arms broker in Cape Town, money was wired into their Standard Bank account by Societe D’Equipments Internationaux, said to be a Nigerian company based in Abuja. The arm dealer had a problem with the renewal of licence according to the paper "The paper said the deal fell apart afterCerberus which had earlier received from Nigeria R60 million (N1.02 billion) in its account at Standard Bank, tried to repay the money as it it could not resolve its registration formalities with the South African authorities. “Cerberus was previously registered as a broker with the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC), but the registration expired in May this year,” City Press said Its a shame that even a mod would get involved in this spread of falsehood. God bless Nigeria |
