Literature / Being A Lamb And A Wolf - A Short Story On Hypocrisy by UnchoppableEba: 10:58pm On Jan 16, 2018
He let his eyes follow him into the dark, lonely alley, shaking his head at the disapproval of the 'abomination'.

The taboo.

The symbol of moral decadence.

The emblem crested on town by the devil to attract the wrath of God upon the land.

Why should a guy sashay, chatter and dress like a lady with a hole inbetween her thighs? Why? He puzzled, his eyes still fixed on 'abomination' who is now slowly disappearing into a silhouette as he walked deeper into the alley.

He's a lesion on the divine blessing of this holy town.
And what do you do to a lesion? Treat it. But this particular one is beyond treatment. They've been news of him laying around with fellow men.

He has worsened into a full blown tumor.
And what do you do to tumor?
Cut it off or it will exacerbate into cancer.

"Yes I must" he concluded, hurriedly closing his 'chemist shop' with eyes still fixed on the moving silhouette of 'abomination' whose jewelries jingled to every stride he took.

"This malady must end today" he mumbled as crept after 'abomination'.

He quietly unsheathed his dagger and synchronized his footsteps with those of 'abomination', stretching and contracting his legs quickly to make up for the distance between them.

Should he slit his throat or stab him?
Which one is more rewarding?
He contemplated as he sneaked up on 'abomination'.
He settled for stab and immediately sank the dagger into the neck of 'abomination''. He watched as 'abomination' collapsed to the ground, eyes widened in shock with blood splurting from the opening as he tried speaking.

"God's justice be done. I've saved you from your sinful ways, go and come back a real man" he said, crouching to retrieve his dagger. He wiped the blood trickling down the dagger with the cloth of the writhing body. He sheathed it and with a quick surveillance of the alley, he scurried home.

He barged into the house. Ignored his praying mother and stormed off into his room. He reached for his holy book and started reading with his blood-stained hands.

Knock Knock Knock!

A little girl entered with a tray of food at hand.

"Madam said I should bring your food inside for you" the little girl said dropping the tray on the center table.

He closed the holy book, flinged it onto the table.

"Come back here!"

"Drop your pant and climb the bed!".

Six of one and half a dozen of the other, not anybody would admit.
