hello mama, your best bet is to apply for an interview instead of the drop box cause they might ask you to come for the interview anyways...

Omodadi2:
Good evening mamas, I am about applying for dropbox, and I think i should ask here if theres any legal way to avoid bin invited for interview. Can one send all receipts/zero balance letters when sending passport? since i read here that they only want to be sure that we paid our bills.

I applied and got my B1/B2 in January 2016 with my hubby, went for childbirth, paid bills and came back home jejely without overstaying or any illegal drama. The time to travel if invited is really an issue for me, this is why i want to explore options if available.

usually they ask you to schedule a follow up appiontment cause they just want to see all your receipts to be sure you paid your bills and didnt use any aid....just make sure you go with all your documents, am sure you will be fine...goodluck!!

ugoguchy:
I applied for renewal of visa via dropbox and i was told to schedule a follow appointment;my question is why was i asked to come for an interview, when i got the visa i was asked if i was going to use the visa for childbirth purpose and i said yes and d VO even gave me a form that had all the requirment needed for medical purpose,i used the visa to travel 3 times, vacation first and 2 childbirth and also i always tell them at the POE am here for childbirth,am a bit confused as why i was asked to book a follow up,beause i never hid my intentions, please has anyone had this experience and how was it ,i have my appointment for Thursday..

for wheelchairs, i think its best u call your airline and request for one prior to your travel date.

Anyone can request for a wheel chair so if ur are traveling with an elderly person then he/she can also apply for same.
Anyway,my question is at what point do we request for a wheel chair?
Is it when we take off or when we land or the ticket stand?
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Unfelt: 3:52pm On Oct 17, 2017
sorry about your interview, its best you drop the transcript of the interview so the scholars in the house can advice accordingly..

quote author=Teetee09 post=61509049]Hello all,
My husband, two kids and I went for our interview today in Abuja and was denied under section 214b. I am presently pregnant, and i want to have the baby in the US as it was discovered during my last CS that my uterus had ruptured. We can afford this trip but no single document was checked.
My question is can i reapply ASAP but without my family this time? Will dat give me a better chance?.
I answered my questions very well but i guess my husband was a bit nervous.
hello congratulations to you and your wife...The name on her passport shouldnt be an issue, when going for the interview she should take along her marriage certificate this will be prove that she is indeed married to you. However if the passport will expire soon then u might aswell get a new passport just to make things a bit more tidy...

harry73:
Good evening brodas & sis,mama's & papa's
God bless you all for your support and contribution here, You all have been a life saver.
Well i have been a silent reader for a while and gaining more knowledge on dis missionary trip...Its now my turn as d clock ticks.
My wify is 19wks gone now, av gotten my hospital & doc correspondence.. am set to apply for b2 visa for her but av some little issues i need to be clear about.
(1) My wify passport still av her father's name as surname, she av travel history. Now she will be applying alone though & am wondry if dat will not b an issue @ d V.O since is not my surname @ her passport or she should get a new passport on my surname.
(2) I want to wait as part of home ties & after she gets her visa den travel to US, pay for hospital & doc fee.. will luv to apply b4 her delivery date...If am applying should i apply for "b2 visa or as tourist visa"

Thank u all as i wait for a positive response..?

hello mideyola, Florida isnt common on this thread so u will have to do the research yourself, u can google 'hospitals in palm coast florida" check the hospital websites that pop up, you'll find numbers and/or email addresses simply call and/or send mail requestiing for the cost of their maternity services....

Check Florida Hospital Flagler

After 5 years of trying for a baby, taking hormonal drugs that clearly affect her monthly cycle u think the first thing that will come to her mind when she misses a period is to take a pregnancy test?? who died and made you the the pregnancy police?? with PCOS some women do not even see their periods for months nd months....So how can u, with no knowledge of her fertility history call her/him a liarhuh Now, i ask, if you go around insulting and judging people like this," what does the future hold for home trainings & the countryhuh"
Ayotundesh:
Choi!
Which kind lie be this??
10 weeks in June, due date November??

This is quite annoying,if you are a parent or about to be a father or a mother & u lie like this, to the embassy and then to us on this platform...what does the future hold for home trainings & the countryhuh

Yes,you can use their correspondence for poe,and yes again,it's not compulsory to make a deposit before travelling. Just have enough money to cover your expenses or evidence to show that you can pay your bills.

hello people, please the hospital i intend using in Florida is Broward Health, It is a walk in hospital so basically they do not give information on the phone or via email but my host recommends the hospital because of the proximity to the house. However, Holy Cross hospital has sent me registration forms, delivery cost and all via email but i do not intend to use their services, my question is can i use the Holy cross correspondence for POE, and if yes, does this mean its not necessary to make deposits before arriving??

Hello house!
I have shared visa and Poe experience so it's time to share my birthing experience.
I stayed in Michigan till a week to my EDD before I left for Chicago
I had my LO on Wednesday 19th of July in Chicago. A day after delivery my LO's birth certificate was ready but cldnt get it till after I was discharged (I fast tracked it).I was discharged on Friday evening..went to vital records to get the BC. Had an appointment with the paediatrician On Tuesday after I was discharged and LO was certified okay...I got a fit to fly for my LO from the paediatrician cos I was gonna travel to NY and domestic airlines need certification for infants less than 14days to fly. Went back to Michigan on weds.

Called Qatar airways Customer Care to get my LO ticket and was charged $150.(note that I got my ticket from wakanow but booked LO directly)
Hubby mailed notarized form thru FedEx (I was very disappointed in their service) after several calls to them I eventually got the package on Saturday after which I left for the airport to board plane to NY.

On Monday I went to NY passport office very early as walk in and I met a very long queue...eventually after 5hrs I made it in and my passport was processed for $165 I waited to collect it...left there around 9pm. On Tuesday I sent a mail for visa on on arrival to the immigration and got a reply after 5 hrs..
On Wednesday, Got to the airport checked in all my over weight luggage (3 big luggages 2 for me and 1 for baby) no extra charges the guy was too nice, checked in baby stroller and car seat and my supposed overweight hand luggage..lol...
Had 9 hrs layover at Doha was lodged in a hotel...slept for 3hrs before we were taken back to the airport..got to naija on Friday morn..got my luggage and went to the visa on arrival section...paid $200 and I was given change of $10 lol...
I left NY exactly 14 days(2weeks) after LO arrival.
We are doing great...just adapting to this no light country again..lol..
Thanks everyone who helped out in this journey.. o appreciate you all.. God bless

Thank you so much, i appreciate!!!
KingAL07:
Honestly, I don't think you need to reapply, do send a letter of change of intent (though that has been over flogged). If there is a clear difference between the day you were granted a visa and when you took in then you should be fine, also I hope you have a genuine reason for not travelling before now, just endeavour you travel with your Dr's correspondence, part payment of bills if possible and enough money to show you can settle remaining bills. I beg nothing is cast on stone. Be confident but not cocky and above all pray for God's favour. All the best!

Thank you so much, i was thinking it would be better to write a letter to the embassy instead as opposed to applying for a whole new visa, i got my Visa in March 2016 and i am not even 3months pregnant yet, i have been reading the thread and most people in my situation just wrote the letter.... quote author=abujaniv post=58829155]Hello Unfelt -

Assuming your visa has not expired, you may attempt to use it to give birth in the US. However, be aware that Customs and Border Protection, who interviews travelers at ports of entry, has refused entry to some mothers in your situation because the notes taken by the VO do not discuss the pregnancy and CBP thinks that you were lying about your intended purpose of travel. I would recommend that you apply for a new visa so that it can be documented throughout the file. This minimizes the chances that you fly all the way to America only to be turned away at the airport.
